Rampart Feed & Pet Inc
1233 Park St, Castle RockWow, what a nice experience to walk into a store and know right away that you are not a number but a new client who is worth taking the time to engage with AND to share all that is available. Most places stay behind the counter and ring you up and say "thanks" in a very dry manner - it's nice to be noticed and have it made known that they are happy to help with any of your needs....like really happy to do so! I just relocated up here in Castle Rock and I like it more and more!

Brekke Veterinary Clinic Happy Canyon Rd
856 W Happy Canyon Rd #120, Castle RockWe’ve had great experiences at Brekke Vet Clinic since we moved to Colorado two years ago. The staff is courteous and caring. Dr. Jay explains potential procedures and gives options. We appreciate that he calls personally the next day to explain test results. We have a Golden Retriever who needed surgery. It dramatically improved her mobility. Our 18 year old cat is alive and her quality of life enhanced because of their care. I highly recommend Brekke Vet Clinic.

Brooklyn Veterinary Clinic & PAWS Pet Resort
1320 Virtuoso Loop, Castle RockWe have gone to Brooklyn Animal Clinic for years. Yesterday we did Josie’s wellness exam with Dr. Erin Homburg and her tech Cerria. I was impressed with how caring they both were with Josie, as Josie is very anxious. They were patient with her, extremely gentle and interested in what was best for her and what needed to be done. So nice to meet both of you! Thank you for loving on Josie.

Pet Sitting & Training

MOC K-9 Training
12129 Caprice Dr, Castle RockI cannot recommend MOC K-9 Training Center highly enough! I brought my nine month old German Shepherd, Ringo, to them, for a three week board and train. The experience has been nothing short of exceptional. From the very first session, it was clear that the trainers at MOC K-9 are both knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. They took the time to understand Ringo’s unique personality and tailored the training approach to suit his needs. Ringo has always been energetic and intelligent, but he needed guidance to channel that energy in the right way. Adam and the trainers’ expertise in working with German Shepherds and other high-energy breeds made a huge difference. Their patience, positive reinforcement techniques, and clear communication helped build Ringo’s confidence and strengthened our bond. Thanks to MOC K-9 Training Center, Ringo is now more focused, responsive, and well-behaved. Walking him is a joy instead of a challenge, and I’ve seen a remarkable improvement in his obedience and overall demeanor. The entire process was professional, supportive, and effective. If you’re looking for skilled trainers who truly care about the well-being and development of your dog, MOC K-9 is the place to go. They have made a lasting impact on Ringo’s life—and mine! ❤️

Sparky's Pet Sit & Walk, LLC
7765 Oasis Dr, Castle RockWe recently hired Caroline for when we traveled abroad and although we weren't in the house to see how things went from the pets perspective, from our perspective she was awesome! When she came to meet our pets prior to our departure, it was very clear that she knows her stuff. She is a very experienced in pet behaviors and needs. She texted us daily with photos and updates and left a written daily log of activities. We have one dog who is very averse to anyone not a family member and she and Caroline really connected and did well together. I will DEFINITELY hire her in the future and happy to recommend Caroline to take care of your beloved pets. Kelly

Glacier Ice Cream & Gelato
115 Wilcox St Unit 110, Castle RockGluten Free. If you’re gluten sensitive or celiac be careful … They don’t have labels in store on their flavors (which I think would be easy to do). However they do tell you which flavors are gluten free on their website, but the seasonal flavors don’t get added, so at your own risk. We went in today and they didn’t have bing cherry (my GF go to here) so I asked the associate which ones were gluten free and she said anything without a cookie or crumble. I picked the praline after she says it was GF, but confirmed on their website before checking out that it in fact is not GF even though she confirmed I was safe. I just really think labels aren’t hard to make and it takes the stress out of worrying about a reaction to your ice cream. Otherwise, BEST ice cream I may have ever had to be honest.

Why doesn't DAZBOG warn their customers!!! Not returning!
Parking: Stay too long and you get at $60 ticket

Hideaway Bar & Grill
600 Jerry St, Castle RockWe come here for lunch about once every two weeks. The cheesesteak is excellent especially if you add fresh jalapeños and I like that they offer a half size for lunch ($11 vs $18). The wedge salad is amazing and is one of my other go-tos, but it’s big enough to be its own meal. We usually see a young blonde-ish girl bartending and although her name is escaping me at the moment she is super friendly and fast. Great food and great service!

Pegasus Restaurant
313 Jerry St, Castle RockOn Friday, December 20th, we decided to stop at the Pegasus Restaurant on our way to the outlets for a quick bite. We arrived in the late afternoon for brunch and were seated after a short wait—not a big deal considering the restaurant's popularity. The ambiance of the place immediately stood out, offering a cozy New Mexico vibe with a menu to match.
I ordered the Mexican plate, and my wife chose the Chiladas plate. Both dishes were flavorful and well-prepared, with the hallmark of their cuisine being the use of green chiles. Just about everything on the menu features green chiles or is smothered in them, which adds a signature touch but might not be ideal for those who prefer milder flavors.
Our server Carolina was excellent, striking the perfect balance between attentiveness and giving us space to enjoy our meal. They checked in just enough to ensure we had everything we needed without being intrusive.
Overall, the Pegasus Restaurant delivered a unique dining experience with a strong New Mexico influence. If you’re a fan of green chiles or enjoy a bit of spice, this spot is definitely worth checking out. For us, it was a great stop on our way to the outlets!

Colorado Animal Welfare League
200 S Wilcox St, Castle RockExcellent rescue organization. They are kind and work hard to help all critters big and small. I've watched them work tirelessly on spay and neuter efforts for almost a decade and they are super dedicated to the protection and great placement of animals. I also have adopted a pup from them and he's awesome!

Buddy Center - Dumb Friends League
4556 Castleton Ct, Castle RockI visited the Buddy Center to drop off donations of towels that they can use as bedding. There is a place right outside the door to drop off items. I had to go in just to see the animals. The place is always clean. It is much smaller than the Denver location so not a large selection. I have adopted a cat from the Buddy Center in the past. They only had 2 cats in this visit, but quite a few adorable bunnies.
