Gavin was amazing to work with! Always prompt and really works to get everyone in the household involved in training! He taught us SO much in 6 weeks and we have seen amazing progress with our Oreo. I cannot recommend him or his service enough!!

Gavin really enjoys what he does and is good at what he does. Our dog no longer pulls on his leash and is now enjoyable to walk. He also no longer sleeps on our bed unless invited (that was a big deal because he was used to sleeping on our bed and would get back on after telling him 10 times at night to get off). Also Gavin is super knowledgeable on tools to help train your dog like bark collars which has been very helpful with our dog barking at doorbells and people coming up to the door. Gavin is overall just very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does; he has a good reason behind why he trains dogs the way he does with a perfect balance between positive and negative reinforcement. He taught us when walking our dog, to always be in between another dog and our dog, not greeting our dog at the door or when leave (which helps with our dogs separation anxiety), how to desensitize our dog to other dogs (our dog gets overly excited around other dogs and becomes overwhelming/somewhat aggressive in play with other dogs) by doing training outside dog parks and at parks. We just learned overall how to take our basic training we knew how to do, to a whole new level that taught us to think differently in how we train our dog. And helped us immensely feel empowered to train him on things we had given up on. Now enjoy taking our dog to more places and enjoy him so much more!

Gavin at Ohana dog training was amazing with my puppy!! She is a completely different dog now! I’m so pleased with the results! I highly recommend him if you’re on a budget, need flexibility & want someone that is really passionate about their job. Gavin has extensive experience & expertise to deal with any type of dog problems.

I used Ohana to train my puppy & couldn't be happier with my results! I interviewed 5 different trainers & I liked his training techniques, his flexibility, & how immediately my puppy took to him. Price was an issue for me & Gavins prices were very reasonable!! A LOT less than some of the others! Plus Gavin was & remains available if I come across any issues or have questions. I highly recommend Ohana... I think you'll be just as happy with the results as I am!

I don't see why he has such good reviews. He did not create a raport with our dog, he did next to nothing but talk. We did not finish the package we paid for and he would not refund. What a waste.

We highly recommend Gavin Ehringer, owner of Ohana Canine Training. We worked with Gavin to train our 1 year-old puppy. He has a clam approach and uses positive training methods. We call him the dog whisperer! Our pup loves him!

We are totally impressed with Gavin and his training technique. His years of experience coupled with his canine behavioral education is incredible! Our two Coton de Tulears had developed some very poor mannerisms at age three when Gavin introduced various techniques to establish a baseline of expectation. Just as impressive was Gavin's methods of educating us as the dog owners. I learned some unforgettable methods of dog training that can be used with any sort of obedience training. The reasonable cost of Gavin's service is only surpassed by his results! He is most strongly recommended to address any canine obedience challenges. FANTASTIC RESULTS! Jumping through a hulu hoop? Who would have thought that was within the realm of the possible! Thank you Gavin!

We've had a lot of dog trainers over the years in different cities and for different dogs. Gavin is the most memorable and best one that we've ever had in Denver, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. His training methods have that perfect balance between positive reinforcement and setting boundaries for your dog.We had Gavin come and train our 8-month old schnauzer at our place every other week or so for a couple months (due to weather). The training methods and "homework" he gives are reasonable, effective, and realistic for having a well-behaved dog at home that is also your pet.If you're familiar with schnauzers, you may know that they can be an extremely stubborn breed. Many people think that they're notoriously hard to train, but Gavin was more than up for the challenge, and we had results from our first session. Our schnauzer went from a world-class leash puller and leash biter to the being the best dog at Garden of the Gods in just over a month. Walking our pup went from being something stressful and mildly insane to something we were proud to do.One of the best things about Gavin is that he's so knowledgeable that he was flexible with what we needed as a family. We have 3 dogs, so there were day-to-day things that we wanted to work on outside of training our schnauzer on the basics of being a good dog. From how to walk the dogs together, how to manage their space, and how to create a sane environment with 3 dogs, Gavin has so many effective, helpful tips that are easy to implement and truly make a difference.We enjoyed every session with Gavin, and our pup Grumpy is all the better for it. We look forward to continuing to use the methods he taught us with him and future dogs. If you're looking for a dog trainer who really knows his stuff and provides actual, reasonable training tools that will work within your life, Gavin is your guy.

Gavin is a patient, calm and knowledgeable Trainer. Each lesson provided me with new tools to teach specific skills to my big, stubborn dog. I have gained confidence in handling my dog in public spaces, and useful knowledge about of dog's 'thinking' in relation to other dogs, and its role as a family member. I recommend Gavin - your dog will be in good hands!

Wow! I need my dog's recall to be 100%. I had exhausted all of my knowledge and training. Gavin came to my property and within an hour, he had taught me how to teach my dog! He is clear, gentle, and easy to follow. Both Lucy, my Great Dane, and I loved working with him! I have been working with Lucy for under a week and it is so much fun to work with her! Thanks to Gavin and his depth of knowledge Lucy and I are progressing rapidly at making her recall not only 100% in easy situations, but more and more challenging ones as well. I highly recommend Gavin and I know I will be calling on him again for other training needs.
