I visited the Buddy Center to drop off donations of towels that they can use as bedding. There is a place right outside the door to drop off items. I had to go in just to see the animals. The place is always clean. It is much smaller than the Denver location so not a large selection. I have adopted a cat from the Buddy Center in the past. They only had 2 cats in this visit, but quite a few adorable bunnies.

Two weeks ago we traveled to castle rock to meet a puppy, it was a Friday morning and it was a relaxed, pleasant experience. We didn’t get the name of the staff that worked with us, but she was wonderful and I’m grateful for the very nice visit. We visited the Leslie Malone center a few times prior and it was definitely a more loaded experience, especially trying to bring our other dogs to meet. I completely understand too, Denver dumb friends is the heart of it all. So if you’re looking for a more quiet experience, try the Buddy center, it may work out easier like it did for us :)Our girl is doing well, feisty, loves to play with her siblings. All our babies have come from the dumb friends, they’re very good people and offer amazing services!

The lady I'm a caregiver for got her puppy there. They consider me part of their family so we all went.

I brought 3 cats here a few months ago because we couldn't give them proper care and we had multiple already and they were only a little more then a year old when we did. I just called back today to check on them and they said only one was adopted but they euthanized the other 2 because they were "too scared" and that they would let them handle them. I am very upset at this for multiple reasons. They were never aggressive so how are you going to justify taking their life because they were scared in a shelter setting. 2 they advertise that they only euthanize for medical reasons, being scared isn't one. And 3 we were told we would be able to be contacted if before anything like this would happen and we never were. We would've gladly taken them back and found them a home. I am disgusted and frustrated. I've known them since they were babies and I loved them. Do not bring them here!

Adopted Midas here on Friday the 2nd. Changed his name to Nigel. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly, making the process very easy. They even sent Nigel home with a bag of kibble and a squeaky Valentine's day stuffed bear!

The staff at the Buddy Center is simply amazing. We learned about this place when we adopted a rescue puppy about three years ago. But we recenlty were faced with the decision to euthanize our very old chocolate lab. Knowing when to actually go through with this procedure is extremely hard, and to make things harder, places we called were either 1) extremely expensive, 2) made you feel guilty for even considering putting your dog down, or both of those things. It's hard enough to make this decision, let alone have people question it. I read on the Dumb Friend website that they offered end-of-life services, and showed up one afternoon without an appointment. They made the emotional process very simple, requiring some minor paperwork. Their fee was a small fraction of what other providers were asking. Even with the personalized cremation the fee was extremely reasonable. And there was no judgement whatsoever. When the paperwork was done they gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye, and then they took him back to the lab area. After about 20 minutes, when it was over, they let my wife and I see him one last time. My wife was a mess, but they had an infinite amount of patience and let her take as long as she needed. I just can't say enough about how highly I think of this place and its employees. Thank you so much Dumb Friends for making a hard thing a little bit easier. Please keep this place in mind when thinking of adding a pet to your family. They're amazing throughout the whole life cycle.

Amazing place to adopt a pet! They cover all the bases and run mostly off of donations from great people! We had an amazing experience adopting our cat and we also brought a very sick and cold kitten to them that we found on the side of a dirt road and they nursed him back to health!

I would be foolish not to give them any stars, for they gave me my sweet Chata. I adopted Chata at Leslie A Malone, and due to hectic circumstances she was brought back to the Buddy Center after two years. The second I was able to drive down there and get her, I did. My animals were taken against my will, while I was battling mental illness from Domestic Violence. Chata needs more surgery because it was not done properly. I have found out that she has been in pain this entire time. I do not know where my cats are, my attempts to find them were met with blunt judgement when I called, and I was told they had no record of my animals. To whomever found Lily and Toulouse, please know they have a family who misses them dearly and hopes that they are happy and healthy. I am highly disappointed in my experience with the Buddy Center. But I will always be grateful to DFL.
