Cash patients beware! I just started at this clinic and what a mistake that was. Like everyone else says, it's mostly PAs here not doctors. Mine was very arrogant and insisted that the treatments that other DOCTORS put me on were all wrong. I just held my tongue and kept thinking "this is certainly my last visit with this PA...". He wanted to give me an injection, so I asked the price and he quoted a very reasonable price, and he went ahead and gave me the shot. Later I got a bill for about 400% of the quoted price and have just gotten massive run around. They just keep insisting I pay and there's nothing they can do. So basically, the PAs word is useless and they will pump up the bill after you leave and there's nothing you can do. Buyer beware! I highly suggest you go somewhere else. Just read all the bad reviews that echo billing issues and bad attitudes and you'll get a great sense of this place.

I visited my primary care physician, Chad Boekes, MD, in Castle Rock, Colorado for a Medicare wellness exam. Everything was great until I went home, logged on to my portal and noticed that he had added 4 to 5 diagnosis that he did not talk to me about. When I inquired about this, he said well I have to add conditions that don't exist or else Medicare won't pay for the diagnostics. Now these fake diagnoses are part of my permanent health record. If the doctor wanted to test for something that was outside of the scope of the wellness exam, he should've asked me and then I would have told him whether I would've been able to pay for it or not. But just to find out by surprise on the portal was not acceptable. As of today still has not been corrected. How can I get them taken off? This is insurance fraud because they are billing Medicare for something that does not exist. Time for a new doctor. I have reported the business to the BBB. They have since locked me out of my Patient Portal. My next call is to Medicare. Check out the other 1-star reviews here; looks like they have been doing this bait-and-switch with insurance companies for some time. Update: I am able to get into my portal and the doctor has deleted all of my previous messages about this and removed the fake diagnoses from my record. He added that we "talked" about these issues during my visit, which was untrue. But, at least I can move on to another doctor without those fake issues on my record. I still have the screen shots of the "real" interaction. Just proceed with caution and watch this practice. I'm glad I was paying attention!

Worst ran business practice in Castle Rock. They stopped my critical asthma meds to force me to do unnecessary blood work for vitamin D and cholesterol. Look up their lawsuit they settled with OIG in 2020. They told me a sleep study test was $150 and I got billed a thousand dollars. Very prideful and crooked. I cannot express my disappointment enough. They do not care about your health at all.

Ridiculous "doctor office" unprofessional. Does not discuss what is covered and what isn't, will just test you regardless of stating you ONLY want tests that insurance will cover. Will continously bill you for missing appointments you did not miss, then bill your insurance again for your annual. Cannot access anything online. Must call. Will try to force you on pills you specifically say you do not want 0/10.

This practice has decent staff, they are nice. However, like some other reviewers have said, they don't take good notes or listen. You will have to tell them most things multiple times. They will "nickel and dime" you at every chance, never telling you when they are using some unproven procedure that insurance won't cover. You'll find out when your insurance denies the claim! Not very transparent. Nice staffing is great, but I'd rather have upfront information and not the surprises. 1 out of 10, would not recommend.

I have been going to Dr. Kasunic for several years now. He is understanding, compassionate, straight forward honest and very knowledgeable. He has treated a wide range of problems and has always handled them wonderfully. His schedule runs very on time, I'm never in a room for long. I would highly recommend him. The nursing team I have been disappointed with their level of care and compassion but he makes up for it.

I have been a patient at CRFP since I was about 8 years old and was always happy with my experience. However, today was completely different. I went in for a walk in because I couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone to make an appointment and I missed the sign on the door that said to call from your car if you’re sick. The lady with black hair at the front desk was so rude to me about it that she made me cry. She yelled at me and made me feel d*** in front of the other patients in the waiting room. I will not be back to CRFP until they have a different person up front.

i have been coming to CR family phys for over 2 years now and I just want to say that they go above and beyond! It has that downhome family feeling that I was looking for. I was very sick about a year ago and received amazing care from Dr. Kasunic and Dr. Boekes. In the last few weeks I was scheduled with their PA, LIndsay and she was very kind and a great listener. I had seen Lauren before as well and liked her and now I can honestly say, I don't mind who I see there. Oh and all of the gals at the front and back office are so sweet and funny too! I recommed this office if yo are looking for a new doctor.

Outstanding primary care office. My daughters have all received excellent care from the team there. Very thorough and especially helpful with teen mental health issues.

This is a gem of a family practice. My family and I have seen each provider and they all genuinely care about the overall health and well-being of their patients and take managing chronic and acute medical conditions very seriously. I feel well cared for and extremely welcome at this practice.

They will make up back bills, when you pay Every time my co pay ,then you come in and they say you have a back bill you pay it even though you're trying to figure out where you didn't pay, the next time you come in they tell you that you have a back bill again so I refused to pay that so I go in today pay for my procedure then the doctors wife pull's me in a office to try to bully me into paying that when I still refused she cancelled my procedure and refunded my money ,I'd be careful they must really be desperate to be doing stuff like this so I would advise anyone who is looking for a primary care don't use this practice.oh this all was over 35 dollar

Dr. Kasunic and his team are fantastic, and take a whole-health approach to their practice. Easy to get scripts reordered, lab results (and they have a lab in their practice too), follow up phone conversations, etc.

I have been coming to this practice for as long as I can remember and have never had any issues! Lauryn, one of the PAs, is great for younger female patients!
