You can tell it's taking tax payer money and not for profit. Customer Service it's not something they have ever heard of. Why do you need customer service if you get tax money no matter what. Never seen an administration as rude as this one. They certainly don't practice what they teach the kids. Hypocrites.Teachers have been great this is just the administration.Edit to response for ownerYou have 3.3 out of 5 stars from 44 reviews. Do you think if you were a business for profit you would last long with those reviews?

I have been thrilled with the support and flexibility of American Academy during the 2020 school year. The administration has gone above and beyond to make sure our kids can remain in person, with a safe learning environment while giving parents a choice to remote learn. My child thrives from her amazing teacher. So thankful for AACP. I know my daughter is receiving the best education.

AA is a great school that tries to prepare kids for high school. It is not easy and their expectations are high, however I would rather my daughter learn early that she needs to work hard to get good grades. In just a few months in kindergarten I have been amazed how much she has learned and already able to read basic words!

Both of my children have attended this campus since kindergarten and we've been very pleased. School days are slightly longer, but we get about two extra weeks in the summer, and that makes it nice for working parents. Uniforms are a convenience and money-saver that are more important than you would realize. They have been challenged and have learned a great deal and nothing has made us more sure of our choice than our experience during COVID 19. Those who wanted to stayed in

I went to AA from kindergarten to 5th grade and it was the worst school I have ever been to. The office staff hated me and when I got a concussion at recess the nurse literally told me I was being dramatic and to "walk it off". I have read some of the other reviews and a lot of them talk about the "anti bullying program" and as someone who was never bullied myself I saw a lot of my friends being bullied around me I can say with confidence that when we told the teachers, staff, and counselor about what was going on NONE of them did anything about it. I am so glad I moved to another school because if I stayed at AA I am sure that I wouldn't be here today. Another thing I would like to address is the astronomical amount of homework I had there. As a 4th grader I would come home to 3 1/2 hours of homework a night which is absolutely outrageous. I had to quit gymnastics in 5th grade because I didn't have enough time to do my homework after school. I would stay up for hours (10-11pm) trying to do my homework without my parents knowing I was awake because I didn't want to quit gymnastics to focus on homework that didn't even help me. I am glad to say I am doing so much better at my new school and I am so sorry to the students who are still forced to go there!

We've been an American Academy family for the last 11 years, with 3 children moving through the grades. We have been thrilled with our experience and their education. My high schooler is thriving thanks to the preparation she received at AA.

This school is overall just horrible. The teachers obviously have favourites and DO NOT care about bullying, for example if 2 students get in trouble they would somehow manage to make sure the one that isn't their favortite gets in bigger trouble such as detention or an email home.

I'm a student at American Academy and its just a bad school. I would rather go anywhere else than this school. Also I've read a few reviews and to be honest the 1 stars are the most accurate. The 5 stars just seem fake.

4 of my children have EXCELLED at American Academy. The staff is ardent in their care, teaching and overall love of their students. I am sorry to hear that some may have had a poor experience, however it is a punctilious environment. Yes, your child will have homework, and there are tests that will create stress; this is a part of preparing for life. Bullying is never accepted and not a trait of the school. Both parents and students are expected to be their best. I could not ask for a better school.

My 5th grade son attends AA and has since kindergarten. The school is awesome, most of the teachers are amazing and the staff is supportive. Expectations are high and it’s not an ideal fit for every student but my son is receiving a tremendous education that will position him for long term success. I’m grateful to have him continue on to Middle School on the fall.

I went to this school from kindergarten to fifth grade. The front office hated me and my twin brother and it was not acceptable. They also did not pay a lot of attention to bullies and the harms they cause. I was personally bullied by some girls and when I told the teacher she did nothing. Some of the teachers were obviously there for money and not to teach the people who will someday lead our nation and will need jobs. I still know people who go to this school and they do not appreciate the teaching ways. My middle school is so much better and I suggest it to you. Rocky Heights Middle School it is the best. I will soon be moving on to high school and I feel that if I stayed at American Academy I would not be ready for High School.

Okay, so maybe a one star review of the actual school itself is not warranted. My main gripe is with the "pick up line" that extends to both lanes of the main thoroughfare to get to Elk Ridge Park. The parents who are in this pick up line blatantly ignore the "DO NOT BLOCK INTERSECTION" signs. My family and I were blocked in to the parking lot of the park and could not get out. Also, if an emergency vehicle had to respond to this school or the park, there would be nowhere to go expect for the opposing lane of travel which is dangerous for both the responding personnel and the other drivers on the roadway. Hopefully the school can have a heart to heart with the parents, so that those of us who are just trying to enjoy a day at the park can go to and from without having to interrupt our day and waste our time. I would be more than happy to update this post if a remedy is proposed.
