Their hotsprings at $30/$35 are almost 2x as expensive as Joyful Journey $18/$15 locals) and their cabins more expensive than the Broadmoor! I wrote to express concerns about the price and this is the response I got:"Thanks for your opinion, we’ve been staying pretty busy though so I’m not sure why we would"I then replied that it was cost prohibitive for me and could not come and the owners replied: "Okay great, hope you have a wonderful day!" It seemed sarcastic, and not open to feedback and indeed, greed. I will never go there. Check this out!Holloway Cabin Pricing:$450/night Sunday-Thursday$550/night Friday-SaturdayMerrifield Cabin Pricing:$600/night Sunday-Thursday$700/night Friday-SaturdayPlus a One time Cleaning Fee: $150Pets: $25/each (!!!)

Just Absolutely Fabulous. We wouldn't have changed a single thing and we are super grateful for our time away from it all to celebrate a big birthday!

Super. Awesome. We will absolutely be back! Nice and quiet place with a private hot springs tub. The cabin is perfect. Our dog loves it too!!The hosts were great. Close to town. The cabin has everything you need if you don't want to leave at all! I'll be booking both cabins for the family for a few days sometime soon! Thanks so much!

Love the private hot springs pool all to ourselves!! The cabin is for real old-timey...yet had everything to make us comfortable in 2023. Very romantic if you are looking for a restful weekend together. ❤️❤️Food & drinks: Deerhammer Distillery in BV did not disappoint. Good drinks and a great burger! ??

This is our second stay at Merrifield Cabins and it is really a special place. It's truly unique to find a private, natural hot spring pool steps away from the front door with the sound of the stream below. The cabin offers a perfect blend of rustic solitude and modern convenience close to town. The owners were helpful and easy to work with, thanks again!

What an absolute Gem!! ? This beautiful cabin is so worth going to!! Worth all the memories, worth cutting off the world for a bit, worth all the photos and peace of mind. I’m still on cloud 9 and it’s been almost a week since we left!As soon as I walked in I was blown away by their attention to detail, extremely clean cabin, cold champagne waiting for us, a super cute note- wow. I could not have asked for anything more. We kept saying I wish we had a cabin like this. We left the cabin and the entire ride home was planning when we can go back! Thank you for sharing your beautiful place. God bless and till next time! ??

While there are very few negative reviews, I booked through Airbnb and saw that about a year ago, another reviewer wrote that the property is beautiful, but unfortunately they are the type of owners to blame guests when things go wrong and I should’ve listened to that.During our stay, our dog got out through a broken window screen, which we realized was damaged prior to the incident through photos we took at arrival, which I didn’t notice until I checked after. My dog was missing for 8 hours and fortunately he found his way back and returned to the cabin. I notified Airbnb the next morning as I was concerned that it was not checked thoroughly, and that this is a safety hazard, especially in the woods, wildlife (bear, mountain lion, person trying to harm someone etc) could’ve easily gotten in.They instead went on to accuse me of actually damaging the screen myself. I have time stamped photos and videos showing that the screen was damaged when we arrived, and after the incident, showing we did not tear it up, as they claimed.Additionally, Glenn (the owner) started harassing my friend, via text saying “we destroyed their faith in humanity” and would not stop berating us, despite asking them to not contact. In his review to me on Airbnb, he also mentioned that we were trying to receive compensation which I NEVER asked for. All I wanted was for my dog to be okay, and simply for them to be aware to prevent this from occurring in the future, and instead of apologizing or even acknowledging that this was a possibility, they instead reacted aggressively and in an appalling manor. Please pick anywhere else to stay in BV, it is a stunning cabin but there are so many better options where you won’t be harassed after an already terrible situation.

The most amazing and magical place ever! If you never do anything in life, you have to stay here at least once in your life. Every detail was thought of except the wifi. It was blah.Nearby activities: Each cabin has its own hot springs pool.

Horrible customer service and person(Beige-owner)! They quoted 1 price$1306.74, charged me a deposit $600.00 and then charged me over the full price they originally quoted, $1393.33. When I reached out to them to get it corrected the lady (Beige) was extremely rude, agressive and defensive. They did refund the overcharge of $686.59 but it was a hassle and completely unprofessional. There is no central air, only 1 ceiling fan in the kitchen and it gets very hot and stuffy in the house. Also there is no cell signal in the cabin and the wifi did not work either. One positive was dealing with Brian who was actually nice and tried to resolve the issue, even came over and reset the router to try and get us wifi. I will never stay here again and warn everyone against it. Mt Princeton or Cottonwood are better options.

When I reached out to them to get it corrected the lady (Beige) was extremely rude, agressive and defensive. She had no record of the deposit and they argued about the original price I was quoted even though I had it in email from her. We cannot say enough good things about our stay here! We stayed in Merrifield and it was absolutely perfect and exactly what we were looking for. We are super anti-social so the quick check in was great, and the privacy of the cabin and hot spring pool was superb! Water temp was varied depending on where you sit (it’s a huge setup! Not a rinky dink hot tub) and the multiple levels of rocks and concrete allow you to cool down a little above water or stay in the deep part! Definitely hot enough as well as having a cool part where water trickled down into the pool. Very very neat place that we can’t wait to come back to! We are still riding the natural high of just one overnight. The cabin was so well equipped and just beautiful. You can tell the owners take great pride in this property. It was so quiet and peaceful. Also, you must stop at Casa Sanchez for food! Unbelievable!

BEWARE!!!!! of the hidden cost that Merrifield sends you after you have booked your reservations. The cabins have occupancy numbers listed on the website and after you book the reservation they solicit you with an inviting email saying that they would like to add everyone staying in the cabins to their registry and make it a welcoming environment. After you send that information they send you an additional charge of $75 dollars per person per night! That information is nowhere to be found on the website, during your checkout or in their policy notes. It's already an elevated charge for the the cabins and in my opinion, the extra charge is a real deal breaker. For the price they are charging for an environment that resides right next to the road you can go stay at Devils Thumb Ranch, Valley View hot Springs (awesome by he way) YMCA of the Rockies for larger groups, Grand Lake Lodge, Ouray Hot Springs, Strawberry Hot Springs and the list goes on.I have stayed in many unique places across the globe and have never had such a sneaky after booking surcharge applied to my stay.
