Great kayak/surf shop on Main Street! Decided to stroll through this store. Great staff, plenty of kayaks and beach clothing, good amount of accessories, and was just a good atmosphere. Great beach store overall. Worth a visit!

If you’re looking for great selection, service, and the confidence to get exactly what you need—CKS is the place. I went in looking for equipment/expertise to get my frame river ready, and the whole staff went above and beyond to get me just the parts I needed without breaking the bank. The owner, Brad, walked me through my options in building out my overnight setup which gave me the confidence to purchase the right stuff. These are river people helping river people. The new store location, right next to The Viking, is awesome! I have minimal river gear experience, Shelly & everyone answered all of my 500 questions and hooked me up well! No need to go anywhere else for outdoor water gear in the area.

Outstanding staff and service. Bought my Jackson Antix 2.0 after trying several boats and they applied the credits to price. Knowledgeable folks and easy going. Easy river access is a plus!

Good selection of new and used gear. No hello's even though they were not busy. They did allow us to test fit a skirt. Quite accommodating staff (if not a little introverted).Just be aware, if you sell via consignment to them they will add the tax before they use your store credit. Pretty shoddy and they just smile so be sure to add that on to your selling price.Edit for 'clarification' (at owners request):Thing is; THREE STARS IS NOT A COMPLAINT.I am frustrated that I had to pay the tax prior to the consignment discount. I left no lines to read between on that while I added a special note about it.You expecting more than three stars for what I would call an 'average visit' is intriguing. You should be thrilled I did not not remove a star for the post-tax thing but here we are.. you calling me out and quite poorly. :DIt was an average experience, Owner. Do not take offense to that. An accomodating staff is expected at that price-per-foot of a store. I was not expecting roman candles to shoot out of anyone's backside but the discount-after-tax was rather surprising. The whole deal barely covered the fuel required for two trips in.Yet; We may very well do it again and I would recommend the store but the next consignment price would have to cover the tax thing now that we know how that works at CKS.cheers
