After years of pain caused by bad form and habits, I went to Mike to help me get back on track. He is a patient and considerate trainer, and did wonders for both my form and motivation. Now my pain is nearly gone, I’ve lost weight, and I am running again. I would definitely recommend him!

Mike is very knowledgable, fun, encouraging, and keeps the sessions interesting by varying the activity. He has been especially good at customizing the sessions for my needs and my daughter's needs (which are different.) We are getting stronger and healthier.

I have been working with Start Fresh Fitness for several years now. Mike is a great trainer. He is personable, easy to work with, and encouraging. He's tailored our workouts for my particular goals and needs (pain-free basketball and healthier eating). so I've made great progress since starting with him. I've learned a lot from him about how to move and eat healthier. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trainer.

Mike is absolutely one of the best personal trainers that I have worked with over the years. I interviewed several trainers but knew as soon as I met Mike and we had our trial session that he was the trainer for me. As both a registered dietitian and personal trainer, his total diet/fitness regimen has helped me get into the best shape of my life. I have dropped over 15 pounds in less than 4 months while putting on more defined muscle tone. My energy level is at an all-time high and my overall body fat is down by over 5%. Beyond the measurable results, Mike is a joy to be around. He is a true professional but we are able to laugh and enjoy ourselves during our training sessions. I regularly get texts from Mike checking in on how things are going and to remind me to eat more fruits and veggies!! He is genuinely invested in his clients' success above and beyond the workouts. I cannot recommend Mike highly enough as a personal trainer. If you put in the work, Mike will help you to achieve amazing results. You will not be disappointed!!

I have worked with Mike for a few years now. He is extremely genuine in his desire to help his clients meet their goals. I am in my late twenties and spent my first few years out of college focused on work and grad school putting my fitness and health on the backburner. Mike helped me identify the patterns and habits (particularly within nutrition) I had developed in my life and replace them with actions more productive to maintaining a healthy diet within a busy lifestyle. I had developed mobility and posture issues that have since been reconciled by the deliberate exercises and practices that Mike has instilled through his workout guidance. Thanks to Mike I have maintained a lifestyle that has halted weight gain and allowed me to pursue more aggressive physical activity without injury. It's a beautiful thing to find that perfect personal trainer for your specific needs. Michael gets it done! Facing shoulder surgery I found Start Fresh Fitness. I wanted to avoid surgery all together. I've been with Michael 1 1/2 years now. I suffer no shoulder pain whatsoever! He helped me strength train and build supportive muscle surrounding a very old injury and I'm 60 years old! Priceless! Michael's vast credentials, unique individual support, highly personable caring approach make him a one of a kind.

I worked with Michael (Mike) for about 8 months. He is amazing. I have a herniated disc in my lower back and spent years in pain and going to the chiropractor. Mike helped me strengthen my back and work on my posture, my back never felt better than when I was working with him. I unfortunately ran into some financial woes so was not able to continue, but as soon as I can, I plan on working with him again!

Mike is a great charismatic trainer. At first I wasn’t sure about a personal trainer because it didn’t seem like it was for me. However after the first class with him it felt natural getting to know him and training with him. For me it was to help bulk up with strength training and he helped me get the proper technique for the bench and squat down as well as showing me more fun ways of stretching and using proper muscle groups. I’d recommend Mike to anyone looking for a personal trainer that maybe a little anxious. Mike is a cool blessed dude and is very easy to get along with.

Michael's knowledge and instinctual style of teaching and encouragement put him on a higher level than most personal trainers. He is capable of teaching beyond the physical enhancement of each muscle. He understands how each part of the body interconnects and can affect every other part and he can convey that knowledge.For instance, Michael had me identifymuscles that are/were tight or overly stressed, then compare them to their mirror muscles, with the help of the massage gun. This was a great strategy for getting me to recognize habits I have developed since being seriously injured in an accident. We were able to identify obscure muscles that were causing tightness and ultimately the target dysfunction. I have developed poor habits while compensating for my injuries that further complicate my recovery. Michael took the time to unravel the extremely complicated way a body can compensate and addressed it by strengthening muscles surrounding the weakness and muscles that are distant from the weakness yet connect and affect the natural way a body moves.He is an extraordinary teacher and a compassionate coach. Not to mention his valuable expertise in nutrition. Over the past three months, I have been able to completely change my eating habits while feeling well fed and satiated. I've lost over 25 lbs. I move more easily. I feel confident about continuing to lose weight as we continue to work together.

Mike has a thorough knowledge of nutrition and health needs along with strength and balance training. Within 6 weeks I hit my target weight and could see the difference!
