Chris was great! We did a routine oil change at a brakes chain store in Erie that told us we needed to replace rear brakes, rotors, leaking front struts and rear shocks on a 2018 Ford F-150. Total was $2700+. We had never been told of any needed repairs on the previous oil changes there before, but it was a new store manager this time. We only have 48k miles on the truck so I wanted a second opinion and found Green Light Garage online and was glad I did. Chris suggested I drop by for a quick look and in a matter of minutes he said the only somewhat legit repair was the rear shocks. Total bill ~$350 and we gladly let him do the work. My guess is a lot of people have been convinced they have “leaking” struts when in reality they are just weeping, big difference there and get a second opinion. Now I need to find a new oil change place as I wont be going back to that store again. Thank you Chris. Your honesty goes a long ways in today’s world, and my pocket book as well!

Very unprofessional in the way they “pick and choose” their work. Asked about a wrist pin press and he asked me what it was on then told me that he couldn’t do it. As soon as I asked why he didn’t give me a straight answer but assumed it was for performance mods, once I explained to him everything is oem he said he didn’t want to. Even though he said he’d do it on an Ls... even though the smaller Ls has the same size wrist pin. Would not recommend he’s a lazy mechanic that won’t even accept the simplest of jobs. What does this mean for your brakes?

I cannot recommend Chris more highly. He does excellent work at a fair price. He was flexible when my towing company did not appear when they said they would. He got my car in for a fix quickly, and at a price lower than he originally quoted. This is what really impressed both me, and my dad, who is not easily impressed. He is articulate and communicative. He has offered his expert opinion countless times, even if it meant turning away my money. I will only be going to Chris for my car needs, and will be recommending him to anyone I know needing a "car guy."

Honest, knowledgeable and affordable mechanic. My moms car was making a horrible noise and he immediately knew what the problem was. He gave us a fair quote and had her car back to normal quickly. I will definitely be coming back for all my cars maintenance.

Awesome work! Starter was causing problems and he fixed it right up without having to replace my starter! Most places will try to take as much money as they can from you and lie about things being broken. Fast and excellent serivice I was out in about two hours!

Chris was the only one opened on a Sunday for me to tow my car to. He performed a free diagnosis (so awesome!)and got my car working by monday. Fair price as well! Really impressed by him. Will definitely go to him in the future with car issues.

Chris is the 2nd most legit auto mechanic I've ever dealt with. Honest mechanics are hard to come by and I will only write reviews when somebody is running an honest business. I brought my 2001 Nissan Pathfinder which is my business travel car with 235,000 miles. It has its issues and I asked Chris to address only certain issues. He did exactly what I asked and didn't even once try to up-sell me, or state that I needed to get these other repairs done ASAP. His quote was about half of what Firestone down the street would've charged me and without all the up-sell nonsense. I respect the honesty and I will give Chris as much of my business as possible.

Our engine started over-heating and spewing radiator fluid just as we passed over the Rocky Mountains headed toward Denver. It was 4pm on a Saturday and we were in the middle of cross-country road trip. Anxious to keep on our time schedule, we started the search for a garage open on Sundays. I gave Chris a call and he told us to tow the car to his parking lot and he'd give it a look first thing in the morning. After a thorough check of the system, he determined we had a faulty radiator cap and replaced it... we were back on the road by 2pm Sunday! In summary, Chris was knowledgeable, friendly, and very efficient on such short notice. I would 100% recommend Green Light Garage, particularly if you find yourself in a car jam over the weekend!

Chris took my car in on a Sunday after Jiffy Lube screwed something up on my car during an oil change he ran diagnostic testing for no charge and fixed my car for a low rate I liked him so much that I sent my husband then and got his car power steering fixed. Chris is quick and efficient and has great prices. Super friendly guy and highly recommended!
