Foundations Academy is a great school. My Kindergartener was struggling with separation anxiety and missed a significant amount of school due to those challenges. Instead of reprimanding her for the absences, the principal worked out a plan with me to help her through her difficulties. I also appreciate the moral focus program, aiming to instill good morals in this generation of children, which is so needed in our world today.

Wait list is ridiculous. Said my daughter was accepted but because I waited a day to talk to my daughter about moving schools now they moved on and won't accept her.

Terrible terrible school!I would like to encourage everyone to find another school, online program, or private school for your child. Kay is a terrible person. She should not be the principal of this school. She likes to make up her own rules and has refused to let children in the school if they don’t follow them. Again! I urge you all to find alternative schooling for your children. He has denied children their education!!!!!!!!!

My son went 1 day before I pulled him last year (2019-2020). They didn't have a lunchroom just a gym they made a lunchroom. But what really got me was my kindergartener was being physically pushed by another kid and ended up getting in a actually physical fight. My son had to tell me. When I asked the teacher she said to me " your son started it and I made them apologize" I feel a kindergartener getting in a fight is something I should have been told. There was kicking and punching. The dean even called to get the story.

With the change in administration and staff this last year, I would say this could be one of the worst places to send your children. As a family of this school for the past 4 years, we've been strong supporters of the staff and administration with all the changes and a proud Falcon family for years. There is no longer value in creating a positive and safe environment for kids. We’ve never had any problems until this year. Our concern involves the response that we’ve received from the Deans as well as the principal over the last few months. Our child has been bullied and was punched in the stomach by another kid, we reported the incident to the teacher and to the Dean. My child was asked what happened and told their side of the story, the Deans (2 of them) said their side of the story “didn’t add up and we think you’re lying.” My child was embarrassed and left feeling helpless. The victim of a physical assault and then called a liar. Any time a discussion has been had with our child in the past, the first thing they have all stated is, “ Your child was very honest...always honest....Your child was asked about (incident)....and immediately told the truth.” They’re always honest. Period. But, all of a sudden lying? I don’t understand the rationale of these adults that are placed in a position of authority and trust. Our child does not trust them any longer. The response we received from the principal, was a joke. Her response, “I am more than happy to meet with the both of you, but I am unsure at this point if a resolution can be attained. I have dealt with many concerns from you in regards to treatment of both of your children throughout this year. I have tried my best to deal with your concerns in a fair and respectful way. At some point, you may need to consider if Foundations Academy fits your expectations, and is the best place for your students to be.”Our child gets bullied by other kids and the administration and instead of a reassurance that this behavior is unacceptable and not tolerated, we’re told that the school might not be right for us. Save yourself and your children, send them to Bromley East Charter or the public schools. Our child is experiencing depression, and it’s due to the lack of support from this administration. Don't send your kids here.We also reported repeated verbally abusive treatment from the Gym teacher. We found out this past week from another parent, that he asked a student for a favor, to carry out a message to a female staff member, “to stop looking so cute.” Not only is this unprofessional and was uncomfortable for the child he asked to deliver the message, but this is also sexual harassment. Guess who is still on their staff? Yep. Creepy gym teacher.

This school has ruined so many of my loved ones lives. We moved towns because of this school and so many teachers have been so awful. This school should have never opened.

Administration changes this year have really brought back a sense of caring to the students. Ms. Peter's has been amazing with the class even with her being new to them this year. As a 2nd year family I only hope to get my son in next year. Their before/after care program is one of the best in Brighton. They really support school focuses and inspire kids to try every day!

My children spent the entire year being bullied. When I met with the principal he showed little to no concern. I was told that my children were "an isolated incident." I have pulled my kids from this school and I have no intention of sending them back even though this is our neighborhood school.
