Dean has taken care of my cars and trucks for years. He is conscientious, honest and straight forward. His fixes stay fixed and his prices are reasonable- plus he’ll tell you if something can wait. He is not to be hurried and nit-picked with - he doesnt rush stuff but he communicates well.

Scandinavian auto aka the worksDean422+537+$My axle is not centered after an axle seal job done 2 times by this mechanic... Sticks out on passanger side and less on drivers side...Seal leaked after a year... And he charged me... For work that was covered under a 1 year repair policy... Also he cut off our repairable shox through the bushing vs just cut off the bolt that was stuck...We contacted our card company and will continue to fight & share this till the truck is back in shape..This harms the diff and tire ware...Job needs to be done and paid for by Dean at this point to make good on his mistakes... Or he will have to pay for it for another quality mechanic to make sure it gets done...

I am so thankful that I was referred to Dean through a long chain of lucky chances. One of my brake lines blew out while traveling through Nebraska, and an auto place there "fixed" it for a hefty price. However, while driving through the front range it became clear I was quickly losing my brakes again (the last place had actually messed up the seal on the line). Dean not only fixed it properly for me (I can say after 7,000 more miles on the car going to WA and then home to CT), he did it for half the price, and he showed me what the specific issue was when I asked. He also fit me into his schedule at the last minute because he knew I didn't have a set place to stay in Boulder. His genuine kindness and care was apparent, and I am very grateful for him helping me get back on the road safely. Thank you for helping me have a great road trip despite a scary situation!

Dean was the fifth mechanic to try to fix my car. The first four mechanics overcharged me and told me things were wrong with it that weren’t even wrong. Dean correctly diagnosed my car and worked on it until it finally ran perfectly and didn’t overcharge a penny. I would recommend him over anyone, he really knows his stuff.

I received nothing short of amazing service at Bolder Auto. Their customer service is fantastic, they were quick to fix my car even though I brought it in due to an emergency situation, and gave me great advice on what to have fixed immediately vs what can wait. I feel that Phil is very honest. I'm super happy to have found my new mechanic in Boulder.

I have been going to these guys for about 15 years. They were elsewhere before opening this shop and I have followed them. They are always awesome and have taken care of me as there loyal customer. If you are a loyal customer, there are benefits to going to a place where the people know your name ;). Sadly as my car gets older, they also recognize my voice on the phone before I tell them it's me! Haha. But I totally trust them and appreciate how they have taken care of me for so many years.

I found this shop to be untrustworthy in the quality of their advice. I also had work done improperly that the shop refused to correct.
