This place does amazing work and is made up of great people all hoping to make a positive impact on this land that supports us. I highly recommend getting involved in their volunteer opportunities at any level.

Had a great time with WRV restoring parts of the Indian Peaks Wilderness. They are prepared for all situations and safety is always prioritized. Also lots of fun meeting new people.

Great organization and people. I did a couple overnight Cameron Peak Fire restoration projects with them last year, and have done 7 projects this year, half of those overnight. And I guess my experience was good enough that my aunt joined me for two of those. I'm an avid outdoor enthusiast with an earth stewardship ethic, and WRV fits very well with that.

Had a bad experience on an overnight camping trip and can no longer say I trust them with the safety of volunteers. Be careful if they put you into groups with people you don’t know.

I love everything about this organization! The projects are well organized and fun, and it is so rewarding to get outside and do good for the environment. It's also a fantastic way to meet new friends. Keep doing great work, WRV!

Great way to help the native flora. We collected seeds from many different wild plants in many locations within an hours drive. The seeds will be later collected by rubbing the seed heads on screens, so I hear. Then, they will be used to replant native plants in restoration areas. The COVID-19 virus happened during their normal seed cleaning period so I hope they can catch up when all this is done. You either carpool or drive yourself to the location where the seeds have been pre-scouted, then wander and stoop to pluck the seed heads. WRV offers snacks like granola bars, cheese sticks, fruit and soda/sparkling water with essences. The typical time out of your day might be 4 hours... 9-1 usually, plus short nature hikes with expert guides, and they also offer full day and camping/working trips. They are organized through Boulder County (I forgot the last part of the name) on St. Vrain Rd. You can get more information off the web by looking for Wildlands Resources Volunteers. You can subscribe to them and you'll get lists of types of help needed, dates and times and can register from there. Many of the volunteers have worked with them for many, many years. Registration may be limited so sign up as fast as you can and there is a waiting list so if you can't make it, let them know.
