I have only good things to say. This is the third Vetco location I have visited and each experience has been wonderful. I am always blown away by how great all the Vetco staff are. I never feel rushed and all my questions are always answered thoughtfully. We saw Alexa at the Boulder location and she was so attentive and caring. Keep up the good work and quality care Vetco!

They are playing water sounds at top volume in their fish department, but you can't use their bathroom.

Went here to purchase some supplies for my small pet. The lady at the checkout counter was very friendly and the product that I purchased (a Zilla MicroHabitat Box), which I couldn't find at PetSmart or any other stores, is currently working great for me. However when I walked by the reptile section of the store, while shopping, I was in shock. This store already had a much lower selection of reptiles than an average PetSmart, so you would think maybe the standards of care would be better with fewer animals. However that is not the case and all of the reptiles were either being stored in too small of enclosures; in horrid cage conditions (the bearded dragon enclosures were full of p***** or looked very sickly in appearance like a poor leopard gecko, which looked like it was near the verge of death. In terms of supplies this store is ok to decent: they have stuff/supplies, but not a giant selection at this store. However if you plan to buy a live animal (especially a reptile), do NOT buy it here.

For the most part every time I have gone in i have been met by a kind and helpful worker. However, recently I've walked out kind of annoyed with my service. I hate being pressured about the rewards program at checkout! I just want to buy my cat food, please listen when I say no the first time. If you ever come face to face with the manager heather walk away. She has no knowledge about anything. Her best advice is "google it" when you have a question about your precious animal. She is not affable whatsoever. I also once saw her yell at an employee after I walked away because she didn't "try hard enough" to get me to join the rewards. The employee told me about the program and I said no thank you and we moved on. No pressure at all. I have seen many employees leave and for most the reason is because of Heather. Heather is a mean, uneducated woman. Petco, as a committed costumer, I would advise you to fix your management at this location. Also all of the animals sold in this store do not seem to be well taken of (it is so so sad).

For the Petcos of this country, this one has always stood out as an exception to the poor care. Their fish are always in great health, and the reptiles and birds are always perfectly clean, fresh food/water, and visibly content. The best they can do with the size of enclosures provided to them. I also appreciate their live bugs. They carry super worms, waxworms and mealies in refrigerated conditions. I've found them to be cleaner, fewer die, and don't smell like some of the local reptile stores. I'm not surprised by the one star review, because these employees ALWAYS ensure their animals are properly cared for, and not all products sold for fish/birds/reptiles are actually safe. An unfiltered bowl does not work for most fish, and if you can't afford the $30 for a tank with a filter- why would they assume you would take the time to do any cleaning or care for the tank. This store doesn't deserve a one star-- YOU do.

The store was fine but as soon as I got to checkout to buy a fish, something I had been excited about for a long time, and they told me I needed a thermometer. So i go back to get one and a lady had followed me back with all my stuff and basically said i was a bad person for trying to buy a bowl for my fish. I told her I couldn't afford anything better right now but once I could I would change them out. She continued to tell me she couldn't let me walk out with a fish knowing it wouldn't go to a good home. I've been wanting a fish for such a long time because I wanted something to take care of and have always had a pet in my house so going to college without something like that was hard already. I left feeling like a horrible person. Also, why would you even sell bowls for fish if you don't expect people to buy them, just saying.

My dog is very skidish and her nails needed trimmed really badly. The Petco Grooming Salon did an amazing job taking time to warm up Sprout and ensure she was comfy before she went back to get her nails done. They were so sweet to my Sprout! I am coming back in a couple weeks to work on desensitizing her and buy some more yummy treats!

Affordable, quick, and provided wonderful care to our kitty! We were able to get her caught up on shots and a microchip. I will absolutely be back in the future, watch the schedule to see when they will be in Boulder.

Employees are all stellar- Kyle and Brittany were extremely helpful and answered all the questions I had about adoption. My one complaint is that it took 5 days to adopt one of their kittens ( it was through RezDawgs so this is more on them ) & the adoptable kittens are kept overnight at the store which they, and the other animals, do not seem to like

Brand new management in the entire store has really begun to make this store shine! The grooming salon looks great and with the new experienced groomers you'll most certainly get a great style!
