First off, the store itself is great with really great shoes. During past visits the staff was friendly and very attentive. Today was a different story (2/17/24). The young man with short black hair was completely rude and unkind during the whole experience. He made us feel unwelcome and as if we were a bother to be in the store. If I wasn't there to get my father a specific gift I would have left immediately without buying. The store manager should really consider dismissing this employee as I'm sure this is how he acts to everyone. Again the store itself is great, but this particular rude and entitled employee will make me reconsider ever going back.

Salesman acted as though he didn’t like his job. I’ll check out Pearl St.

This place used to be great. Like really great. That moment has passed. Disinterested staff that hides in the back of the store. Can’t/won’t engage with customers. Great selection but you’re WAY better off buying online.

Stopped in looking for a good pair of shoes to help me remain comfortable in a job where I’m walking 25k+ steps per day… a young guy (forgot to get his name) helped me out and was very knowledgeable. I ended up loving one of the pairs he recommended for my needs.Definitely would say Pedestrian Shops is worth checking out if you need some new shoes and don’t have the knowledge/time to sift through 5,000 options on your own.

What an annoying guy working here. He kept interrupting me to tell me he couldn’t recommend anything for my foot pain, when if he’s shut his mouth and opened his ears for two seconds he’d have heard that wasn’t what I was asking. I shouldn’t have to talk right over him in turn to finally get across that I’ve been to the doctor, I know what I need and only want him to show me where to find it.

Not a lot of selection for larger feet, or they got a lot of business from people with larger feet. In any case, it was disappointing when I needed shoes desperately.

Bryan made me a devoted customer. Needed to replace the shoelaces for my Oboz walking shoes. Due to metal loops, the laces have frayed very quickly. Tried everywhere to get replacement laces. Oboz won't answer the phone. Got the shoes at REI, they were no help (actually said to try Pedestrian). Bryan solved the problem. Will now head straight to Pedestrian, skipping REI and avoiding the Oboz brand.

Walked around for 5 minutes and they guy behind the counter just sat on his computer chilling and barely acknowledged I was even there, considering I was the only person in the store I don't think that's ok. Definitely go elsewhere if you value customer service.

This shop is in the Village Shopping Center, right near McGuckins and Sprouts. It's much smaller than the original store down on Pearl, on the Mall. The parking is free and easy here and the staff so accommodating. I've been here several times over the years but it has been a while since I bought something in this store. But, the big deal here is, they know their stock, which cover highlights of all their brands and categories and they know much about downtowns also and they so pleasantly call there to find sizes, colors or supplemental styles for you. And have them hold it. A real asset to prevent a wasted trip to the Pearl Street Mall. We were successful in finding something to suit and fit my husband down there but the help we got at this store was really awesome. There are several people who staff this location and I have been pleased with them all.

It was after a very long time that I found that "Pedestrian Shops" is actually a shoe store. Only because I was looking at buying shoes from Astral and this was listed as a retailer carrying the shoes in store. I have walked past the store to Sprouts so many times, but it never registered as a footwear shop. They do carry a lot of nice collection from many companies and is definitely worth checking out. Especially the daily wear collection is really good. They do have another shop right in Pearl Street Mall with a larger collection. I would suggest the owners to rethink the name or even give a better representation in their sign boards that suggest that this is a shoe store. That would help their business.
