This place is wicked cool. The puzzles are absolutely gorgeous and I can’t even wrap my head around how exactly they are configured in the first place. The puzzle pieces are made out of wood and the pieces are thick and sturdy. One artist does all the artwork and on the flipside of the puzzles there are creatures; people dancing, animals, so that the puzzle can be put together on the other side as well. The store owner (or maybe owners) is a smarty; in the center of the store is a table with puzzles anyone can come play with—such a great marketing idea! Don’t miss this wonderful rabbit hole adventure. The puzzles make great gifts….and what a great way to treat yourself.And to top it off, they are Boulder-made!

I love Liberty puzzles they are truly a piece of art! Unfortunately, visiting the store this last weekend was a big letdown. The lady working is definitely not a good fit for a puzzle shop, her personality was completely flat. She was so annoying, I'd ask a question, she'd just stare at me, plus she sat behind the counter eating a very offensive smelling sandwich. I wanted to place an order but the smell and personality had me wanting to run out of the store. I won't be going back or recommend this place. I'll try their little factory across town, hopefully that'll be a better experience.

We just returned from ther Liberty Puzzle factory tour and absolutely loved it! We learned how the intricate puzzles are made, the history of jigsaw puzzles and so much more. Chris and his staff were knowedgeable, friendly and kind. It was time well-spent. So nice that Chris and Jeff understand how important it is to create this art using real people, not just machines! I cannot rave about Liberty enough! Liberty puzzles were my hobby during the pandemic and filled my days with activity. Even got my husband hooked. We have more than I would like to admit. The storefront is so adorable and I have never had anything but excellent service while in store. I have also ordered online 10x and have never had any problems aside from having to wait when there was a production shortage due to the pandemic. Since the opening of their larger production space there has been no further delays. Tips from an insider: the puzzles that are mostly one color or have a border of one pattern are so hard!! The puzzles that are in a small circle or a shape of an animal are the best for gift because they are easier and fun for any level.

As an educator in California, I always start my summer with a puzzle to help me wind down from the school year. This year I decided to splurge and treat myself to my first Wooden puzzle! I bought the Maui puzzle. We loved the colors, the shapes, and design. And even my 19 year old son who is home from college sat with us to work on the puzzle. The colors,quality and quick shipment can’t be beat! After we finished, I immediately went online and ordered 2 more! I don’t think I can ever go back to regular puzzles. Thank you Liberty Puzzles for your quality of product! I just wish you had a store nears us :-). Guess we need to make a trip to Boulder.

I absolutely love this place! We have ordered custom puzzles based upon our favorite vacation photos previously, and this was my first time at the shop. I loved seeing (and smelling!) these wooden puzzles. They also have little free whimsical puzzle pieces you can have. We will definitely be back, one of my happy places in Boulder!

Amazing variety of unique wooden puzzles! Beautiful designs, artwork, and lots of color. Definitely frameworthy. You can even put together several different puzzles in the store before you decide to purchase. Even more inventory available online.

I found Liberty Puzzles during the pandemic. It helped keep my sanity afloat, and I would trade them to family and friends to keep our connections strong when we were unable to visit face-to-face in lockdown. I have done dozens of these puzzles! They are pricy, but worth it! Beautiful craftsmanship, intricate designs, and clever “whimsy” pieces. Plus, they are local! I put them out when we have dinner parties, along with a cheese board, and people love them. The newest one I just finished had a 3D puzzle INSIDE the 2D puzzle- how freaking clever is that!!!! I love you guys, and will keep buying these as long as you keep making them!!
