prescriptions are never never ever on time and staff is rude/non helpful, I have been waiting on hold for an hour with a very urgent question and according to some of the other reviews they simply don't answer their phone which extremely frustrating and left me feeling helpless, last thing you want to deal with when you're extremely sick is an incompetent pharmacy that can't even pick up the phone, would give 0 stars if I could

This is the first time I’ve reviewed anything in a very long time. CVS in Boulder has the worst customer service (rude, dismissive), ability to fill medications on time and follow up than any place I’ve seen. CVS, please pay the people you hire well. Make the position competitive, use folks with pharmacy experience. I want you to succeed and for the community to have a reliable and friendly local pharmacy. You are a corporation, but model yourself after the pharmacies in small towns. You’ll be so happy you did.

Hot mess. Understaffed. Waiting for 90 minutes (so far) for an Rx that was ready three hours ago. The cashier told me if I don't like it, they're hiring. I called customer service 1 (800) 746-7287. I was told that I should just keep waiting. This is why people use Amazon pharmacy.

The fact that I have to rely on the business to survive makes me so angry. Even when a prescription says it is ready - it might be, might not be. Guaranteed everyone that works here hates every second of their job. It truly shows. CVS must be a nightmare to work for because these people are working inside of an active dumpster fire. I hate that I have no other option. This place makes my life worse every time I have to deal with them. Every interaction takes minimum an hour. Good luck, Godspeed, if you are able to use a different pharmacy- RUN DONT WALK. 1 hour 53 minutes it took to get a prescription that the app said was ready. What else would I want to do with my time the day before thanksgiving??

My insurance made me switch to this pharmacy from the Lafayette King Soopers and this has been a miserable experience. They keep saying it's too soon to refill my inhaler (it's not, I need to refill it every month and I got my last refill around early August, it is now November) and I sent in the prescription for my ADHD meds a little over two weeks ago and they STILL don't have it filled, the automated thing says it's being ordered. I've never encountered such a long ordering period before and I can't even get any updates. It's also impossible to talk to a person, I've called multiple times and get stuck on hold until they close for lunch or they close for the day. And I'm not calling right before close either, I'm sitting on hold for around an hour or more each time and it just hangs up when they close, it doesn't give me the option to leave a message. The app is useless for requesting updates but they keep pushing that instead. I tried the app and the website, and when I try to get information about why they aren't refilling my prescriptions, it just says to call the pharmacy. Which doesn't work. And then the hold line which I'm stuck on for ages tells me to use the app. It's some awful ouroboros of frustration and corporate stupidity. If my insurance didn't literally force me to use this pharmacy I wouldn't, so if you have a choice, I'd go somewhere else.Edit: out of desperation, I called the actual target to ask if they can try putting me through and apparently the CVS staff ignore all the people who work at target and refuse to answer them either and are known for never picking up their phone and just ignoring it.

If 0 was an option that would be more appropriate. The most incompetent and not helpful or caring staff you have ever met. Unless you want to spend hours and days waiting to be told they don't have your script that has been sent over many times, I recommend avoiding this place like the plague.

If I could give 0 stars I would. By far the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. I get that they are probably understaffed with so many orders to fulfill but they are NEVER ready on time and for my prescription to not be ready 3 hours after estimated time and only then getting filled when I finally get to the desk after waiting in such a long line for 20 minutes just to be told to go to the back of the line and when I get back up there it'll be ready. SO SO SO RIDICULOUS! I have been just sucking it up month after month with this place but this is the last time.

Quite literally the very worst pharmacy imaginable. You won't get your prescriptions on time. When they're late they won't care. Going on vacation and need it before you go? Ain't gonna happen. It's the only CVS in town so I'm stuck but might move to one outside of town because it's so bad. Shame on you CVS.

Helpful & friendly staff. They have an important job to do and want to get it right. They took great care of me at the last minute when Walgreens was out of the prescription. I have had several positive experiences at CVS pharmacy in Target on Pearl St. Yes, there can be a line depending upon the time of day, but all pharmacies in town have lines, in my experience. The line moves quickly. Thanks so much for making my day!

Normally, I don't take my time to write a negative review. I just don't go back. Normally, I only write good reviews. However, in this case, run, don't walk, to another pharmacy. BVSD just changed to CVS and they are awful. CVS was supposed to transfer my prescriptions from King Soopers, and three calls later and three weeks later, they still had not requested it. So I called King Soopers and they transferred it the next day. I have been on hold over 1/2 hour for five different times at CVS, trying to sort through this issue. Finally my RX was transferred, so I went to pick it up today, waited in a line for 20 minutes, and they charged me double what I was paying at King Soopers for the same item. When I questioned the cost, the technician handed me the bag and asked, "Do you want the RX or not? This is the cost. Call your insurance to straighten it out."So, King Soopers does have my RX listed as a 28 day supply, and, during the transfer, CVS changed the prescription from a 28 day supply to a 35 day supply, at their discretion, because anything after a 30 day supply gets charged double for the same product. I am still getting the same quantity, 8 patches, and by CVS putting it at 35 days their system charges the consumer double. It is the same product, the same quantity. Nothing is changed but the cost. Do they do this across the US? Double your sale for same product? Do they do this when they can against millions of customers across the US? Also, when you call CVS customer service, they are not connected to CVS the pharmacy: "We are two different companies" is what I kept hearing. The consumer gets the short end while the company continues to make their profit. I will be transferring all of my items back to King Soopers. Good ol' King Soopers Sunrise Center. Always so trusty and efficient. I will be urging our BVSD union to drop CVS.

This is the second time we have been notified that our prescription is ready only to go in to the pharmacy, stand in line for 20 minutes, and leave empty-handed. We're done with this CVS..

My insurance is making me shift to this pharmacy from the King Soopers on Table Mesa, and boy am I bummed. The people who work at CVS have no ownership over the process. They seem like robots who are just repeating lines they have been taught, so when the inevitable problems arise, they can't help solve them. The communication between the app and the pharmacy is dismal. I refilled a prescription via the app and was told it was "in progress" for three days. Finally I went in person and they said they could fill it in 15 minutes, with no explanation for the previous delay. I tried to switch to mail order to make it more convenient, but received a 10 day supply when the system thought I received a 90 day supply. Just got off a 45 minute call with the customer service agent to get that sorted out. CVS, get your stuff together! This is pathetic!

The most chaotic, unreliable pharmacy that I've ever been to. I've used CVS for years, but now that I moved to Boulder, I'm going to switch to King Soopers. There has been a problem of some kind or another every. time. I've tried to get scripts filled here. Today, couldn't get my cough syrup for pneumonia filled on time and now I have to get through the night without it. AVOID this place and save yourself many headaches.

I would give 5 stars for the customer service from the staff. Significant contrast to my experience with the Longmont CVS. I had an issue with prescription being sent to wrong pharmacy and Boulder CVS handled it quickly and had my prescription within the hour. The less than 5 star review is more due to CVS pharmacies in general - they encourage you to use the app but when I did and my prescription was at the wrong location, I could not get the problem resolved. I made 4 calls to help desks and they each gave me 4 different directions for what to do. And, calling any pharmacy was a lesson in futility. No one picks up the phone.
