Stopped in to Facetime my son and show him some of the beautiful crystals since him and his wife collect them from all over the world.. He instantly fell in love with three of them, so I purchased them and carried them home to Florida.. What a fantastic gift these were for them. The store clerk was a really young man, super friendly, very pleasant and made sure he bubbled wrapped them for me.

It's worth stopping in here to see some truly impressive museum quality specimens. However, I thought it was really odd that a store selling such high quality specimens had such cheap looking jewelry for sale as well. Very disappointing selection. Some of the jewelry didn't even appear to be sterling. I found the prices of most everything in the store to be ridiculously inflated and would not recommend purchasing specimens here. I'd give the whole store experience two stars for the cool museum quality specimens and add an extra star for the nice college aged sales rep who was really friendly. I enjoyed chatting with her about our shared love of rocks and minerals.

Without fail, I always buy my wife something from here when I visit Boulder. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly and very accommodating.

We walked into this store with high expectations but was quickly disappointed by a rude employee behind the counter. As we were looking around to shop, the lady was sighing very loud and dramatic, and rolled her eyes when I picked something up to bring it to the counter to purchase. She seemed she did not want anyone to purchase something in there. Walked out very quickly.

Sad to hear that the old owners are no longer running this shop anymore but happy to see the new management still running things the way they did it. I just bought AAA graded Lemurian Seed Quartz & AA graded purple Amethyst crystal lamp! They definitely have Quality & Rare crystals here, thanks Courtney!

Only one star because forced to in order to write review. I was overcharged for a bracelet and when I went back and pointed it out, they refused to credit my visa or return the overcharged amount to me. My only option was to apply it towards something else in the store. What a rip off... Don't shop here or if you do be very careful the Sorceresses don't steal overcharged money from you!

I have been a customer of crystal galleries for many years and have spent $1000's there, well knowing that I was paying for the premium. I am an experienced fine mineral and fossil collector with knowledge of what's out there and the respective prices. The original owner had impeccable taste of the specimens brought in and was very knowledgeable and passionate about what they offered. I enjoyed my sporadic visits to CG and the fun discussions with Lawrence. For that reason I was willing to pay The pearl st premium. Today, I had the misfortune to discover that the original owner retired and sold the business to what at first appearance seems to be very incompetent, to put it as respectful as I can think of. They had glitter rainbow decorations and a plastic blow up unicorn in the main display window which replaced what typically was museum quality mineral specimens. I was shocked by the tragic loss of the quality that this store possessed so consistently for so many years. This is yet another blow and heart felt loss for the city of Boulder I call my home. Expect this store Crystal Joy Galleries to be vacant within one year. RiP Crystal Galleries

Went into this shop with hand sanitizer out trying to clean my hands. The woman shop owner was very rude, telling me she needed to see me use it while I was putting it on my hands already. She gave my friend some of their hand sanitizer saying it's so we could touch some of the items. Most of the signs say "no touching" but we needed hand sanitizer? I think towards the end she tried to be nicer but i was already put off. This was my first time leaving the house in months and the first store I went into. It was a miserable experience despite the beautiful stones. I had a panic attack shortly after so I it was a wasted trip. I hope the owners can be a little friendlier to other patrons.

Super cute place! I found a lovely, very very reasonably priced necklace. The girl who helped me was new (blanking on her name) but was super informative/kind and took the time to help me identify the crystal on the necklace that I purchased! This place is literally the best to buy jewelry in the neighborhood, also features very clean finishes and decor to highlight pieces better.

I'm from the COS area and this is by far the best rock shop I've ever walked into! Whoever the (incredibly beautiful) man was who was working that day, was able to quickly identify a stone from just a picture on my phone, when other shops had not been able to! So to the guy who was working Sunday July 25th, you da real MVP!
