Dont fall for get an online quote now. They make you enter all your personal information and then they must CALL YOU back to give you a quote. Ridiculous! Time consuming and not effective at all. No wonder we dont or cant get affordable health insurance with service like this. We should be able to review and choose as we would like and this process should be easy and convenient. Currently, it is not.

Colorado Affordable Health did a great job for my family. They cut my premium in half with one of their new markets. It also is a PPO which really helped. I couldn't thank them enough for thinking outside the box with their new markets!!

I worked with Charlie to get personal insurance after my business stopped using a group plan. I was surprised to learn that single payer insurance is less expensive and covered more areas than my old plan, which was a good plan. Charley explained the ins-and-outs of using an HSA and how the tax benefits all worked out. I highly recommend using him, he does not hard sell you on any particular plan nor did he make me feel uncomfortable with deep inquiry into my medical past. The key thing that he did make me understand is how not being honest on the application might affect my coverage down the road. His advice made sense and any increase in premium was transparent in both amount and the underlying reasons. Integrity is important when dealing with insurance companies, any opportunity to cancel your coverage or increase your premium is readily taken. With Charlie's counsel I secured a policy that works in my budget, covers all that I need, and is not a source of stress or worry.

Charley was very helpful in finding health care for me as an individual in the $100/month price range. He went over 3 options surrounding that price mark in an unbiased manner and allowed me to choose the best plan for my personal situation. That being said, I am lucky in that I have no pre-existing conditions. Reading the previous reviews, I find it unfortunate that Mr. Mallon would throw himself more in line with the insurance providers than the clients he serves. I believe it is an unfortunate state of our society that insurance companies want to know of a client's pre-existing condition up to 10 years back! I can understand 6 months, but anything more than that is a ploy to charge higher premiums to less fortunate individuals. But, for my fortunate circumstances, Charley proved very helpful. I'll put the blame on the system over the individual who has to work in it.

I received information from Charley about pricing for two different carriers. After reviewing the details of the 3 different plans I went online and checked into the pre-existing clauses for each carrier. The plans both had a 6 month waiting period for pre existing conditions, and 12 month waiting period if an individual did not have prior coverage for the previous 63 days. I called Charley back to inquire about those details and Charley immediately inquired about what my condition was. I said that I did not want to disclose any health record information, at that time, about myself and I was only inquiring about how the pre-existing condition clause functioned. He said mentioned the word lying several times and that lying would constitute fraud and that I would be denied coverage if I lies and filed a claim. I informed him that I was not being fraudulent or lying and was only inquiring about the pre-existing clause in the policies. I was only trying to understand the functionality of how the pre-existing condition clause on the policies functioned.Charley said that a pre-existing condition would be reviewed after disclosure of all health records upon completion of an application. The insurer could go back not only 6 months, but 10 years and sometimes even to birth to attach a pre-existing condition exclusion, and that if I lied about any medical records any claim could be denied based off of fraud.I repeated what he said back and to clarify, that I would need to disclose all medical records for my entire life, upon filling out an application to ensure that all pre-existing conditions were disclosed and the insurer could go back not only 6 months but as far as they wanted. I again inquired about the 6 months waiting period, whether it was a waiting period from the day the policy started of 6 months from the pre-existing contition.Charley became upset and said to me that he works with insured all day long and that he did not want to work with someone who was so guarded with his information. And ended that conversation.I only was trying to get information on how the pre-existing condition clause operates because I read that there is 6 month waiting periods written into the policy and Charley had to mention lying and fraud several times through the conversation, making me feel that he thought I may be lying. I don’t feel that I would be well represented by Charley who I cannot ask simple policy questions to without being put on the stand and inferred that I may be fraudulent or lying. An agent should be able to clearly explain what a policy reads without becoming upset at someone and accusing them of guarding information. I felt Charley was unprofessional with explaining how a policy functions.I feel that if I had a problem with a claim that this company would not stand with me for any claim complications.

My experience with Charley was great. He helped me find a policy that was in my price range, he answered all of my (many) questions patiently and thoroughly. He returned all my phone calls and emails in a prompt, professional manner. The price quotes I received from him were slightly better than what I was finding through my independent searches. He also walked me through the application process. He is a friendly and professional insurance agent.
