I visited this store because some great people at the local Canoe Club recommended it.While the store does indeed have great products in terms of quality and selection, I was completely ignored during my visit and the staff was more interested in helping another customer who came in after me… because they expressed they wanted to try on some thousand-dollar coats. They visibly only showed interest in helping if they thought you were going to make purchases, or looked well off.Overall, a very disappointing experience and definitely resonated with other lower reviews here.

To know this boulder gem is to love it. Their amazing merchandise aside, a moment for the people. Cedar and Hyde has attracted some of the most genuine and radiant souls I have ever encountered. I have become an all too often visitor, occasionally multiple times a day, just to recharge and catch an ounce of the infectiously kind energy everyone who works there embodies. This space is sure to brighten your home, wardrobe, and aura.

This shop offers an impressive array of garments and jewelry from lesser-known smaller designers, which I appreciate. However, I must express my disappointment with the appallingly bad customer service I experienced. Having shopped at luxury stores across the country, I have never encountered such deplorable treatment, particularly from a shop that isn't highly regarded in the luxury market. The staff seemed snobbish and only displayed interest or kindness when it appeared likely that I would make a purchase. Once I expressed dissatisfaction with a particular garment, their attitude abruptly changed. They became unfriendly, neglecting to offer any further assistance, and the entire atmosphere of the shop shifted.

Really nice things and beautifully curated but the owner of the store was pretty rude and not warm at all. Would have spent more there if they were remotely friendly.

Cedar & Hyde is one of my very favorite stores! When I came to tour CU Boulder as a junior in high school five years ago, my mom and I found Cedar & Hyde. I am now a senior in college, and every time she comes to Colorado to visit me, we have to make a trip to this beautiful boutique. It's like our little tradition. The staff is so friendly, helpful and welcoming. The ambiance of the store is just amazing as well. Cedar & Hyde is unique, high-quality, and all around beautifully done.

Great products, outrageous prices and snooty, hoity toity service. Apparently you're only supposed to shop here if you have a "million dollar bathroom." I was commenting on the toilet brush being $100 and that's basically what I was told ( I mean, c'mon now, everyone's toilets contain the same priceless contents, whether it's a million dollar bathroom or not). We pop into this store because it's the closest stockist of Aesop around but I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman shopping here. If you want to be treated like you're a pauper and like you don't deserve to shop at this store, definitely stop by, otherwise avoid it like the plague. Horrible service, all around bad vibes and prices that cause immense confusion.

I'm a believer that every client should be greeted and treated respectfully when you own a store, especially if you're the owner. I've been in Cedar & Hyde multiple times and I've been ignored every time by the owner - even when it was just the two of us in the entire store! I finally got fed up and called and complained. The response from the owner was not apologetic but rationalizing her behavior with excuses (she even recalled those times!), including one in which I was checking out with the one nice salesperson who always greets and helps me and the owner, for the one and only time, decided to get involved and talk to me in a condescending manner. I wanted to let a few weeks go before I wrote this review to assess if my feelings are fair - and I believe so especially looking at past reviews that complained about the same issue. I've decided that there are so many shopping opportunities in many other friendly and respectful stores that I will not be going back to this one.

Once again Cedar & Hyde makes me the hero! I just remembered that Valentine's Day is tomorrow and I haven't gotten anything for my wife. She wasn't expecting anything and would be happy with some flowers or a card. I stopped into Cedar & Hyde and they helped me "a guy who doesn't understand how to buy clothes for women", find the most amazing, beautiful, soft, wonderful, sweater/coat. My wife was blown away. She loves, loves, loves it! She says she may live in it. Thanks again Cedar & Hyde for having amazing clothes and for helping me to be the hero!

TL;DR: Shop elsewhere. Pettiness loses business. You can view at this as a failed "mystery shopper" experience, because that's what it felt like to me. I really wanted to like this store, but the negatives were just too overwhelming. The young gals at the shop were very snooty and didn't bother to acknowledge me being in their store. Like, nothing! I know they saw me, but there was zero acknowledgement. I was vacationing so I had plenty of money to spend, however it was evident by their behavior that they didn't want me there. It was unfortunate. The visit was uncomfortable and unprofessional, and therefore I wouldn't recommend this lackluster store to anyone. (Out of all the shops we went into, the service here was by far the absolute worst.) I'm guessing their lame, "selective" service is why the store was otherwise empty.... I'm unable to hand them a (rightly deserved) zero star, so one star it is.
