I didn't actually buy anything thanks to the help I received saving me at least $300. I believe it was Nathan who helped me when I went in seeking new bindings for some used roller skis I previously purchased. I initially called seeking boots for the bindings the roller skis came with but was told that they are no longer made. Based on that, I went to get some new bindings compatible with available NNN boots. After some discussion including what cross country boots and bindings I have on my skis, Nathan told me he was sure that my boots would fit in the current roller ski bindings. I thought that I had tried them when I initially got the skis and they didn't work, but on trying them after our conversation, they did indeed fit. Nathan could easily have left that encounter with a little more money in his till but instead took some time to best help me. I'll be back when in need for nordic equipment in the future.

BNS has a great product selection and their magazine/catalog is something I look forward to each ski season. The only improvement I can suggest is the website is a bit clunky.

BNS is the best reviewed nordic sport store for good reason! I went in twice over the past week to make decisions on my first set of classic cross-country skis. I worked with Sam, who was exceptionally knowledgeable and personable throughout the process. He patiently spent quite a bit of time with me at both visits, and he helped me select a fantastic set of gear tailored to my skill level, height/weight, etc. Highly recommend BNS!

BNS was amazingly helpful. Buying Nordic gear is quite hard to do when you live in a town with no Nordic shops. With weight, height, budget, and type of skiing information BNS was able to curate an entire Nordic skate set up for us. Can’t wait until it arrives on the doorstep! Thank you!

bns is owned and operated by the most knowledgable nordic ski preparer in the USA. Nathans rich history with nordic racing and specifying gear for top tier athletes gets passed along to every customer that enters his shop.

Great store overall, but their 30-day no-exceptions return policy, even for unused purchases, is unreasonable. Their competitors, such as REI and Wilderness Sports in Dillon, have much more customer friendly policies in this regard. It also didn’t help that BNS staff communicated this policy in a rude and completely unsympathetic manner. Will think twice about shopping here next time. Beware!

When it comes to Nordic skiing clothing and gear I almost always find it here. You sometimes need to be patient for a staff member to help but everyone is doing their best and always helpful.
