Finding a mechanic one can trust is like winning the lottery. I have two Prius (or Prii?), a Ford Escape Hybrid, and a Chevy Volt. The latter two I purchased from Boulder Hybrid Used Car Sales (which I also can't recommend highly enough!) Paul and his team have my complete trust. Paul knows I'm a pretty capable "do it yourself-er" and has on occasion told me of various repairs I can likely do myself, and even given technical advice when needed. They also have told me, "nope, you better have us do that repair." What mechanic does that?! An honest and fair one who wants a long-term relationship with a loyal customer, that's who. Do yourself a favor, call Paul and his team at Boulder Hybrids, and if you're shopping for a used car, check out their virtual lot (conveniently the same website Boulderhc.com). You will not regret it.

There's a reason this place has a 5-star rating across the board. It's extremely rare to find a mechanic that you can trust to do both a thorough job AND communicate well throughout a stressful situation like a broken down vehicle. I've been taking my 2008 Prius to Boulder Hybrids since 2019, and every time I walk away feeling like I had the best possible outcome for our car and finances. Most recently, we had our catalytic converter stolen, BH worked with us and insurance to ensure we had our car, without paying out of pocket, while insurance processed our claim. We had them install a shield as well to guard against future theft. About a week later, our 12v battery died and we needed it replaced. Not only did BH do the fix the day we needed it, they gave us a labor and parts discount (without any prompting or complaining) because we had recently spent the money on the shield and an oil change with them. They consistently go above and beyond for customers.

Boulder Hybrids did a knowledgeable, competent job on technical Prius repairs for us at a fair price and are quite responsive and customer service oriented. I can recommend BH, albeit with these caveats. 1) My daughter reported finding the battery exposed from testing and a grease spot on the driver's seat upholstery when her car was returned. 2) My most pressing concern is that they report to CARFAX by default without telling the customer! Customers must opt-out not opt-in to this reporting.I'm not being overly cautious about CARFAX here. My career is In the software industry, I know how software is made, how fallible it is and the security risks of sharing personal information online. It is unclear how much private information BH software shares with CARFAX; certainly the car vin, my email and some service work were shared without permission. I only found out after receiving an unsolicited report from CARFAX by email about some of the maintenance work that was done. BH was willing to opt us out after the fact and upon by request from this reporting for future services. BH explained this unauthorized reporting as a practice the state also does after an inspection and emissions test (something I also saw on the CARFAX report but aren't those inspections also performed by for-profit entities) and as being beneficial to consumers. Respectfully, CARFAX is a risk and NOT a public good. CARFAX is a for-profit company that is monetizing our personal information for their profit when they sell their reports. CARFAX is certainly not exempt from cyber attacks and data theft. CARFAX privacy policy does not preclude the possibility of sharing our information with 3rd parties or make it easy to examine and correct our information. Given the prevalence of phishing attacks, only a security neophyte would be unaware enough to click on links in an unsolicited email from CARFAX. CARFAX purports to be helpful, offering maintenance reminders and help selling our vehicle. However, I can keep my own calendar and maintenance invoices, and without CARFAX's risks.

Made a great choice in car & where I bought it. Dave was super helpful, excellent price and no b.s. I expect I'll be in this for a while but when I need my next car, first stop will be Boulder Hybrids.

Dave was great to work with , he sold us a quality car and kept every promise he made us at the point of purchase. We had the car serviced for oil changes at his shop down the road from his lot, his mechanic is honest and trust worthy.Reputable, Honest & easy to work with. I would highly recommend them.

Great, friendly and non-pushy experience. Flexible to the customer situation, and very easy to resolve issues should they occur.

I took my son's Toyota Prius, to Boulder Hybrids to get an oil change and new brakes installed on September 29, 2021. This is a car that we bought from Boulder Hybrids in 2020 and had already had serviced once by them. And previous to this experience, I would say we found them to be quite satisfactory. Unfortunately, our most recent experience was far from good. The mechanic who rotated the tires on the car did not seem to properly tighten down the lug nuts on the right rear tire and later that day when my son was driving the car home from school, three lug nuts came off the wheel and it started to wobble and drive funny. Fortunately, my son was not driving at high speed and he pulled over quickly and parked the car before the wheel could fall off completely!! Luckily the problem did not result in an accident, and I wonder if things might have gone worse if he had been driving on higher speed roads! By the time I was able to get to the car and assess the problem, it was already after hours for Boulder Hybrids. So I stopped by the shop on my way to work the next AM. At first they seemed a little skeptical of the story I told them. However, they did take action and had the car towed and then acknowledged they were at fault and fixed the problem as quickly as they could that day. I realize that people make mistakes and I attest to the fact that they fixed the problem as promptly as they could. However, dealing with the problem they caused cost me a significant amount of free time to deal with it and on top of that, because the car was in the shop for nearly the whole next day, I had to unexpectedly use PTO to leave my job to drive my son to an event that day. I explained this to the people at Boulder Hybrids and asked if they could do something to make up for my lost time and money (give me money back on the service or credit for future services). The response I got was that I would get a call the next week from the owner to discuss this. However, as of the end of the week October 9, 2021, I have not been contacted again by anyone at Boulder Hybrids on this matter. In addition to not getting a phone call as told, they never seemed very conciliatory nor did they ever acknowledge or appreciate that their mistake caused me significant added loss of time and money above and beyond the original service fee (which I paid and am not disputing). This seems like very poor customer service when dealing with a mistake they made.
