Review from a someone selling books to the store and trying to reduce clutter at home: the staff person was nice enough, but I wish they would reconsider their policy. I had a box of really nice hardback coffee tables books to sell to the store. Their policy is you only get store credit (no cash) for the books you sell to them. If you don't use that credit in a certain time, you loose it. To buy any books, you can only use your credit for 70%, you have to pay for the remaining 30%. So if I sell to them and don't buy anything with in a time period they choose--I loose all the the credit, and if I buy anything, I have to pay for 30%. So, no matter what, I have to spend money to gain anything for selling my books to them. I decided it was a better deal to donate my books to Goodwill and get the tax credit.

I absolutely love this place. Walking through feels like you're touring the halls of some ancient library loaded with gnostic treasures. The staff are exceptional, very kind and gracious, and their passion for literature is beyond evident. Highly recommend!

Whenever I am in Boulder, it is a must stop visiting/browsing the The Bookworm bookstore. Friendly and helpful staff with casual browsing around the store. I have never left the store without finding at least one book that I must have.

I’ve consistently given them 5 star reviews, but I can’t do it this time. I asked them for a children’s book that talks about disabilities. The clerk looked and looked. And then stated she couldn’t find the ONE book they have on this topic. They claim to be inclusive and diverse. They have a huge display of books for LGBTQ children, adolescents and adults. But no children’s books on disabilities. I didn’t see any display of books for those who wish to learn about people with disabilities. 13% of US people have a disability. 7% of US people are LGBTQ. This book store shows ableism in their lack of books for people who are disabled.

What bookstores used to be like- that experience of wandering down aisles, not knowing what gem you'll find. And such a selection of gems! We love this bookstore. Laura who works there always helps us find any books on our list

I love this place. I've only been in there once...this is a true used book store... I haven't seen a real used book store in forever, brought back good childhood memories of exploring good used book stores since most bookstores are newer corporate stores with overpriced brand-new books which I abhor...just give me a good used paperback novel and I'll be happy! As soon as I entered it felt like what someone dying of thirst in the desert feels after discovering a lushly green and beautiful glittering jewel of an oasis within a vast wasteland...it's been so long since I've actually seen a store like this! Also, as a completely deaf man with tattoos, the lady behind the cashier was friendly and wasn't rude to me at all, as many hearing people usually are as soon as they look at me and realize I'm also deaf. Many treat me as if I'm a criminal just on sight. The lady was very nice and welcoming, this place absolutely warrants five stars from me. Good bookstores like this are hard to find and I definitely will be a returning customer, I was very happy to find a used copy of one of my favorite novels, James Clavell's Shogun. They also have a small selection of graphic novels, which I collect as an artist myself.Again, five stars for this excellent store!

This shop is great! They have a very impressive selection as I was expecting the store to be as big as it was when I went in. The staff was very friendly and informative. I was disappointed looking for used books at some of the other book stores in the area and this shop made it all better! Came out with a beautiful haul and will def visit again the next time I'm in that area.
