Just brought my vacuum in for repairs - Chris took it in and cleaned out the clogged section immediately while I waited! So much better than throwing it out. They repair coffee machines, lamps, and all other things that may be in your house or garage just taking up space. Avoid filling the landfills and get your stuff fixed here! :)

Great customer service! Chris is knowledgeable, honest, professional, communicative, and reliable. When it comes to vacuum repair and accessories & parts I would highly recommend Sew Vac. This is now my go to spot.

We recently faced a challenge with our sewing machine jamming mid-project and turned to Sew Vac for help. They had serviced our Janome machine positively in the past. Initially, we had reservations about their upfront charges without a repair guarantee, but given the urgency and their proven track record, we trusted them with the repair.Sew Vac exceeded our expectations, completing the repair within a week - much faster than the three weeks quoted elsewhere. Their team efficiently cleaned, recalibrated, and restored our machine to full functionality. We were particularly impressed with their customer-friendly service and their willingness to accommodate our needs. Thanks to Sew Vac, our sewing project is back on track, and we highly recommend their services for quick, reliable, and skilled repairs.

Highly recommend "Sew More Than Vacuums". Honest, fair, professional. Saved my vacuum after "Vacuums R Us" refused to replace the faulty part they installed (said they "...had better things to do"). Without any hints from me, "Sew More Than Vacuums" identified the noisy, faulty clutch assembly that "Vacuums R Us" installed, got me a NEW one ("Vacuums R Us" claimed a new one would be hard to find and very expensive) and installed it for less than "Vacuums R Us" originally charged me for a rebuilt one. The vacuum now runs quiet & smoothly. Shout out to Chris. Very professional and helpful.

I didn’t end up buying a vacuum from them, but I had a great experience at the store when I did come in. I came in with my broken, shark vacuum, and they were very helpful and honest about what they would probably find. Offered me a trade-in, and even offered me a loaner vacuum until I could afford to buy one of theirs. I think I talked to Chris and he was so kind and helpful.

I purchased my Riccar vacuum years ago and I've had exceptional service ever since. They are helpful, knowledgeable and cheerful whenever I need their expertise they fix the issue. Wonderful folks to do business with, lucky to have them in Boulder.

Short of it is this:Chris is what all of us want when it comes to customer service. They gained a loyal customer.Long of it is:I bought the top of the line Miele vacuum via the Miele website. Out of the box I had power interruption issues (ended up being the hose). Contacted Miele and they work through local shops like this one for these types of situations. Took it in and as mentioned above, Chris had exceptional customer service skills. He was polite/professional, knowledgable, great communication, and most importantly, Chris was patient especially with my frustration with the situation (which had nothing to do with Sew More Than Vacuums). In summary, Chris demonstrated the customer service skills we all want to see from any company and as a result I will be buying through this store from now on.

They've repaired three of my items now and I'm satisfied every time. Items are repaired on time, the communication is excellent, and the items come back in pristine condition. Customer service and time spent with customers answering questions is also great. I will be coming back.

I visited the Boulder store today and was assisted by Chris. I needed specialized vacuum bags for my Riccar vacuum which they had in stock. He showed me how to install the new bag and cleaned up and unclogged my vacuum for free to ensure that it would work properly after getting the bag installed. He also showed me how to check the belt and clean out the vacuum by opening the bottom carriage should it get clogged again. All at no extra charge and was very helpful.

I have had 3 experiences with Sew More Vacuums. The first 2 were great - had 2 KitchenAid standing mixers repaired - and then bought a Bernini sewing machine. However, this last interaction has totally soured me with this local business. We brought our Breville Barista Express Espresso Machine in for repair - the built-in burr grinder was no longer worked. We brought it in on June 30, 2023 without the portafilter, filter cup, and other accessories (because it was the grinder that was broken and I didn't want anything not necessary to the repair to get lost in the process). However, we were told they needed these accessories - so had to go back home, pick these things up, and drop them off - didn't make sense, but fine, we did as told. Then in early Aug we still did not have the machine repaired. The last update was an email in mid-July indicating that the machine was repaired but now was in the process of being tested/verified. So I called on Aug 4, 2023 around 11 am and was told "miraculously" that it had just came in that morning. Great - sent my hubby to pick it up on his way home from work that same afternoon.Come Aug 5 morning my hubby and I were sooooo excited to make a nice latte, but found out that we were missing - guess what? - the portafilter and filter cup. Not sure what else we're missing but definitely can't make an espresso without these 2 things. So we called on Aug 5th few minutes after 10 am when they opened. Was told they would call the other shop where it was actually repaired and call us back by Wed, Aug 9 to let us know where, what, why. That day passed - nothing. So we called again on Sat, Aug 12th and was told the same thing, we'll call over to the other store, find out what's going on, and get back to you. Well it's Tue, Aug 15th and no contact except for a survey via email as to how I would rate their service. Least to say I gave them a Big Fat Unhappy Face rating.Honestly, at this point they've probably lost the darn portafilter and filter cup and just need to replace them. Can you tell after a month and a half without a good homemade espresso that I'm a bit cranky?UPDATE: This past Wed. my husband "showed his face" - aka went in-person to ask about our missing parts - and was told they would be in Thu. He just came home from work today (Fri) with the parts - hallelujah! Hubby said that the person at the store was super apologetic.Still keeping the rating as it took 36 days to get fixed with very little updates and response when we took the initiative to call. And for the extra 12 days needed to get the accessories. Overall a 48-day and $236 ordeal.

This business is no longer Blakeman, whom we've had positive experiences with. It is now owned by a business based in Denver called 'Sew More Than Vacuums'.Our vacuum needed a new powerhead. The Boulder store sent it down to Denver, where they put on a used powerhead, and charged us for a new one. The Boulder store refused to refund our money. The vacuum was also severely scratched in the transit back and forth, which cannot be repaired. The Boulder store did have a new powerhead and put it on the next day, but the entire process was very shady. Recent reviews by others confirm the questionable nature of this business.

We have had two bad experiences with Sew More Vacuums. First we brought a Beeville ?Expresso Machine that we were told they had the full capability to repair. After collecting at $150 deposit we needed to direct them to the correct repair manual (incompetent) and were later told that they could not repair. They refused to return the deposit and never honored the $150 credit.Second we brought a Miele Canister and stick vacuum and were told these were very rugged products. The stick vacuum ($750) failed in six weeks. We expected the company to honor a warranty. Instead we were told the vacuum was abused and it would cost $400 to repair. These people are totally dishonestAvoid this company at all costs.

Terrible service and not honest business practices. I paid $150 to have a vacuum serviced. More than 2 months later I had to go back to the store to find out what was going on. The technician said they needed the charger and the person who was supposed to contact me "isn't very good at contacting people". I went back a week later with the correct charger and they said the vacuum was done, they were just waiting on an "authorization". They refused to refund my money and insisted that I was getting a good deal since they weren't charging me more. What? Do not trust this store. The former owner was spectacular. The new ownership is terrible.

Really nice people and did a great job on our vacuum. Looked almost new after they serviced it and it's back on the job
