These people refuse to pay me for services rendered. One owner stated in a podcast that this place is just a money grab for her. Services are horrific, the place smells of sewage, the bathrooms are filthy. 10 outta 10 do not recommend

Such a cute playground, everything is overpriced but not as badly as Taggerts.
Nearby activities: Casinos

Beautiful site, clean rooms with a desk and heater, shared bathrooms are always well taken care of, cheap showers, hot water. Cabins are close, great for groups.
Camp store (pickle liquors) is nice for locally-roasted coffee and other snacks and stuff.
New management is super helpful, very responsive with email.
Staff is very friendly.
We bring an extra mattress pad because I'm a princess who likes soft beds. BYO sheets and pillows.
We love this place, as do our jobless dogs

I have been coming here for 9 years, it's better than ever. New management rocks. Hot shows, stocked store, clean cabins, friendly staff. Great coffee

Campsite are clean, way too close to highway though!
Need quarter to shower, check before if someone didn’t use all their times - i had a whole free shower thanks to this!
Lots of people leave their dogs unleashed, no one says anything about it!
People next to us had their dog out all night barking and there is no one on campsite to complain to! They also did a fire during a fire ban.. but once again you can’t tell anyone!
Tried to reach out to management at 7:15pm but no one picked up!
I won’t come back!

I've been camping for 4 years now and never ran into a campground run so poorly. It's labor day weekend. We pull in and there is no designated parking spot for people checking in so the parking lot was a disaster. According to their website they have full hook up. Nope. No waste hook up AND their dump station is out of order. Our friends are camping with us and they need to drain their tanks often. So no dumping. No refunds. No manager on duty. We found another campground, Dakota Ridge and they had some spots so we moved. NEVER GO TO BASE CAMP.

Staff were friendly. Cabins were clean and what you expected for a cabin. Used to be a KOA camp ground. Bathroom was nicely remodeled but in the three days we were there it never looked serviced. Good selection of products to restock.
Rooms: Cabins have electrical but no water or bathroom. Two twin size bunk-beads and a full size single.
Walkability: Nothing close to here but a playground and baseball fields. Short drive to Blackhawk

They had some adorable chipmunks that were pretty friendly. Beautiful area, all the staff was nice and accommodating. You do have to pay for showers though, make sure to have quarters handy.

It’s a one night stop kind of place next to a convenience store. After 9 there is no supervision and people congregate out front. Pretty close to your camp. Showers cost. Just be aware what you’re getting into
