We had an emissions related check engine light on our 2016 GMC Sierra LML Duramax. Truck Lab quickly diagnosed the truck on the scheduled date. Our work truck is important to our operation and Truck Lab was timely in their repairs and replaced our DPF filter by sourcing a refurbished unit that was ready to go instead of waiting weeks/months/years?? on an OEM unit from GM. We appreciated the honest service provided and the cost effective solution.

Brought my lly in for more horsepower and reliability. I have a 4 inch lift on 35s getting 21mpg at 80mph, the exhaust brake is also an amazing feature. Thank you Tristan and Dustin!

Outstanding shop and Tristan is the best. IMO he is very good at problem diagnosis which is a skill I rarely see in modern mechanics. I have looked for a trustworthy diesel mechanic/shop for years and while I have found some decent ones, he is the first owner and shop that I consider truly GREAT. I'll give just one example of why he is so great. I have a 1997 well used Dodge Ram diesel. I do a lot of my own mechanical work but I know more about gasoline engines than diesel so some diesel problems elude my skills to diagnose. One particular problem was very difficult cold starts after the truck sat for 12+ hours. I have a few friends who are very good diesel mechanics and also I spent quite a bit of time googling the issue. As you might expect if you are a generally decent mechanic the typical likely causes given were mechanical fuel pump, air leak in the fuel line, fuel filter, or sort of worst case bad fuel injectors. I checked everything above but the injectors since I don't have the tools or experience for that, then I took it to Tristan at Truck Labs, told him about the problem and what I'd looked into and I expected the bad news. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a partially failed fuel solenoid shot off which cost me about $150 for the part and an hour or so of labor. The Truck starts easily now every morning even in 10degF temps and w/ out the block heater on overnight. In retrospect this is an obvious possible cause of the problem, however neither I nor my friends thought of it and google didn't return that possible cause for my symptoms, at least not with my search criteria. Tristan could have easily done what many/most shops do and just started replacing things until the problem resolved and I had spent 1000s of dollars. Instead he took the time to correctly diagnosed the problem at the start and replaced only the exact failed component. IMO that is a fantastic way to earn respect and he earned mine. Thanks Tristan.Service: Engine repair

Don't let the name fool you. They do great work on cars too! This place is run by a conscientious owner/mechanic (Tristan) who is ethical, a clean-freak (which is a compliment) and who charges fairly for his work.

Have a 2016 F150 3.5 Ecoboost that was making a couple of weird noises. Thought I would need a new turbo. T fixed the noises for a broken bolt and a little grease to the 4 wheel drive. He has also has kept our Honda Odyssey running to 300K miles with just regular maintenance. Won't use anyone else but Truck Lab.Edit: Finally saved up enough to buy a new minivan. Bought an AWD sienna and brought it here to get a 3" lift installed from Journey's Off Road. T did a fantastic job and I couldn't be happier. Lift with the new oversized tires we gained about four inches of clearance. One of a kind van and ready for the mountains.

I will absolutely come back to Truck Lab and recommend him to my friends and family! Tristan is very nice, trustworthy, and the price is very reasonable.I took my car into the dealership to fix a noise coming from the right side of my car while I was driving slowly. The dealership said they tightened a screw which fixed the problem and they also said I needed a new engine based on the mileage and year of my car. I didn’t trust that my car needed a new engine since it was running great and the dealership also didn’t fix the noise issue either.I ended up taking my car to Truck Lab. Tristan was determined to figure out where the noise was coming from. He found out that my tire pressure sensor was broken, and the metal part was knocking against my wheel so he replaced the sensor. He also said my engine was fine and I didn’t need a new engine. I completely trust Truck Lab and will take my car back to him for service in the future!
