I've been working with Colton at Sun Mountain Doors to order doors for our new townhouse at Copper Mountain. He's been super helpful and easy to work with, and the cost of the doors totally fit in my budget. I can't wait to get the doors delivered and installed. I'll post pictures once they're in.

I ordered multiple doors for a large project in another state from Sun Mountain. This was hands down the best experience I've had when ordering custom doors.
First, the options are endless and extremely easy to choose from on their website.
Second, their customer service team wants to make sure you get what you want and patiently walks you through every option.
Third, the finishes are gorgeous. I also had them custom color match a door for a wood paneling room and they nailed it.
Fourth, the packaging is top notch. My super said it was the best packaged shipment he's ever seen.
I will continue to order from Sun Mountain going forward. I'm thankful I found them!

Placed an online quote request on January 4. I got an immediate auto-response acknowledgment email. It's now 12 days later, and still not a word from them. If Sun Mountain takes this long to provide a quote, it's not saying anything good about their ability to deliver the goods. And based on the negative reviews I just read here, it seems to confirm that slow is their speed. Good to know. I'll be giving my money to a place that's a little more motivated!

Placed an order of $4220 for home office doors in April 2022. First they sent the doors to the wrong address. When we finally received the doors in December the person that packed the doors for shipment drove a screw into the side of one of the doors splitting the wood and ruining the finish. I immediately called and emailed photos. I told them I believed we could make the repairs if they would send me some stain to match the door and hide the repairs. That was 12/19/22. Since then I have called and emailed so many times I have lost count (although I do have a complete record). Every time Erin or Lindsay P***** tell me they will send the stain and nothing ever happens. It is now April 2023.\nNow when I talk to builders or future homeowners I give them this company name and tell them to stay away. They do not service their customers, do not support their product and basically lie.

Ordered 21 k worth of doors they primed and he walnut frames instead of clear coat as asked for multiple customer service issues like poplar jams on walnut doors and not made correctly company does not stand behind their product horrible company will never recommend nor use again. I am in construction and would never not satisfy a review like this for my company they blew me off!!!

We ordered glazed doors for our high mountain cabin and the doors look spectacular. The rep was especially attentive to the details we wanted including distressing and the design of the door, and called us back always within a couple of hours. We also ordered tongue and groove and some trim from them that was finished at the factory. Our home looks like a lawyer's office. Thanks Sun Mountain!

We purchased a door from Sun Mountain in August 2020. The first door delivered was totally not the correct door we had ordered. Color was correct. They immediately produced the correct door. We hired an installer. The door has full glass panels on each side of it. After it was installed you could see marks or imperfection between the glass. They replaced it but the next set of glass side panels were not good either. So they ordered new ones again. Those were bad and were not installed so they ordered from another glass company. Recently in June of 2022, they came out and replaced the glass. These panels are far worse than any of the previous ones. I asked for them to come to my home to see how bad they are when you look out in the late afternoon as the sun starts to go down. The salesman Dave emailed me back and told me that there are imperfections in glass and since they had replaced a couple times prior, it made me feel like I just have to live with terrible looking glass side panels. If there are imperfections in glass, how are windows made or replaced and you do not see what we see? I would not recommend Sun Mountain at this time because it shows it is not good quality. I invite anyone from the company to come and see how bad these glass panels are!

Buyer beware. I hired Sun Mountain to duplicate the historic front door on my Denver victorian home. We had numerous conversations over the course of months about how important it was that it matched my own door and the other doors in the row of victorian townhouses where I live. I was assured that the CAD computer program they use would get the door right. The price reflected this expertise!The door Sun Mountain delivered is a completely different style than the antique door, and I can't use it. Not only is it different, it is a modern style.Sun Mountain's response is that I am solely responsible for their mistake because I didn't "catch" the difference in wood pattern on the final technical drawing. Sun Mountain did not "catch" their own basic mistake and take zero responsibility for making a different door?!They did say they hope I can "find a use for my beautiful door"

Nice double alder door, fairly priced! Had ordered from a big box first, came damaged beyond repair. Never again, I'll stick with the Alder Door Company (aka sun mountain custom doors). Picked it up at the place, everyone was happy I dealt with, loaded it up on the trailer for me even.

I recently ordered 13 two panel knotty alder door slabs for 11 openings. Two of my openings were double doors. All doors were pre-finished and pre-hung with the exception of my double sliding closet doors. I did have to have the flat jambs custom cut to my needs, which presented no problem. The overall craftsmanship exceeded my expectations considerably. I also ordered matching knotty alder pre-finished trim moulding and again the craftsmanship was superb.I live in Birch Bay, Washington, so packaging and shipping from Colorado was necessary. I have never seen a more thorough and professional packaging effort in all of my many years of having product shipped to me either at my home of my former place of employment (I'm retired now). There was absolutely no shipping damage to any of the product that I ordered. FedEx did a great job of making the delivery to my home. I'd give Sun Mountain Custom Doors 6 stars if that were an option!

I am a contractor and have ordered from Sun Mountain on multiple occasions. Unfortunately I have to say that they provide poor customer service, and very expensive doors which are marginal on quality for the price. Look elsewhere.
