Mike was a great guy to deal with until there was an issue with the mini 14. Mike went out of his way to make me a happy customer. I highly recommend. Mike is a great Seller. He is sure to please. Thanks. Tom

I hope I have the correct L&M - previously a landscaping business (see link here if it pastes correctly ( Zero stars is precisely my rating but I was forced to choose a star. I was coming home from work one evening, Boulder to Longmont bound, and happened to be following one of their trucks. At one point a large landscaping rock bounced out of the back of that unsecured, un-tarped truck and hit the highway once, twice... I swore under my breath, hoped for the best, and thought it was going to end up alright as it seemed to come to a roll right before doing a pop-fly and bouncing up onto my windshield. It nearly demolished the windshield and would have killed me had it come through. I followed the truck long enough to get the phone number and license plate, and called the next morning. I asked for HR, got a hesitant response from Adam who'd answered the phone, and explained the situation. I was calm and friendly, and kept panic out of my voice. Adam told me he'd have someone call me back. I received that phone call the next morning, from a gentleman who introduced himself as "Larry, the owner" and he proceeded to say he wanted to "jaw about" what had happened to my car. I calmly explained that debris from one of his vehicles had damaged my car significantly and I was inquiring as to whether or not he'd be willing to even split the cost of a windshield replacement. Larry jawed on that a moment and responded, "Well, I'll have to remind you that road hazards are everyone's responsibility" and then promptly hung up on me. This wasn't a road hazard, Larry. This was your un-tarped, unsecured load tossing a huge rock into my windshield. Maybe they do great landscaping, maybe they sell pretty flowers. But their business ethic, as far as I can tell based on this experience, is absolute a** and Larry is a dismissive j****

I made an order through FTD for Mother's Day and L & M was the florist to fill the order. This was a pretty bad experience, between FTD and L & M. Here's what happened: 1. My Mother's Day floral arrangement, which was arriving to a business, almost didn't arrive in time before they closed. I had to actually call FTD and poke them about it, even though I used the online "Where's My Order" to poke the florist who is supposed to respond back through email and never did. My Mom ended up hanging out at work waiting for the delivery guy...and I had to tell her there was something on the way instead of her being surprised..bummer! She said the delivery guy was really, really nice though and completely apologetic. He's the only one who did anything right in this entire scenario! 2. The reason, apparently, why my arrangement was late was because even during delivery, the arrangement wasn't standing up well. Why? Because the vase they chose to substitute was not exactly vase-like, but more like a bowl. It was a pretty vase, but my problem lies with the fact that during delivery it was tipping over and they actually had to take it back and redo it, making it late. They knew this substituted vase wasn't working with the flowers, but they chose to re-do it and send it back out anyways. 3. The arrangement, while it did use the same type of flowers, was shorter and squatter than what was pictured on the FTD site which made it look significantly different than what I ordered - and again, because of the vase, the arrangement didn't stand very well. 4.I called FTD for a partial refund as the arrangement wasn't standing up when my Mom got it home, and it actually spilled all over her car as well as the issues outlined above. I was told by an agent that he would get me a partial credit, and I told him that I felt as if this warranted a 50% credit for the reasons above. He agreed, and said that he would email L & M and also email me. I never heard anything back until *I* decided to call today and check on it. 5. They issued me a standard 25% ($16.25) because of the vase, even though I explained that because the vase would not stand with the flowers, it ruined the whole bouquet and I was wanting 50%. They said because the credit had already been issued, they couldn't do anything else - if the guy from FTD would have made contact with me asking if this was a sufficient solution, I would have said no. So, I ended up paying nearly $70 for a late bouquet of flowers that wouldn't stand in the vase they were arranged in. How is that anywhere near right? So, L & M and FTD - this is one of those never again situations. You sent out a bouquet that wouldn't stand in the vase you provided and you knew it, and FTD did not back me up as the customer. So, by writing this Yelp review and warning others, I'm taking back my additional 25%. You know this is all really unfortunate because when I was living in Colorado I really enjoyed going out to L & M's Garden Center and I used to spend quite a bit of money there. Now I'm going to make damn sure that I shop somewhere else, and that goes for FTD as well. L & M, you should've offered a 50% credit, you knew the arrangement wasn't working. Shame on you....

L&M is a cross between a garden center and an Asian import store in Berthoud of all places! They have wonderful planting pots, fountains, statues, furniture and more that come from the Far East! Some really gorgeous pieces! They also have merchandise to suit your gardening needs like soil, lawn decorations and plants. They even were selling baby ducks!! Definitely an unexpected gem in which I will have to go back repeatedly! Their prices can be a bit steep but there is simply no other place like this in Larimer County. To get to an equivalent you would have to drive all the way to Denver.
