The Bennett Park & Recreation District is an amazing rec center and a perfect fit for the small town of Bennett, with many expressing they are very thankful for and appreciate it. The facility has undergone amazing changes over the years, transforming from a gym without a pool to a great facility. It is noted for having better workout equipment than some out-of-state fitness centers. The pool is very well maintained with crystal clear water, featuring a toddler pool and open swim hours on weekdays. Staff is extremely friendly, treats guests like family, and knows many by name. Some negative reviews cite challenges, including schedule issues, limited swimming lesson availability, and specific pool rules for children. A nationwide lifeguard shortage impacts free swim, as there can’t be free swim without lifeguards, making pool hours more lax in summer. Despite this, excitement exists for extended summer pool hours. The rec center is utilized for basketball, baseball, football, volleyball, swim team, and morning workouts. Expansions are reportedly coming soon to the property. For a small town experiencing growth with new homes and more people, the Bennett Rec Center is viewed as an amazing, community-oriented value compared to expensive, large-scale fitness clubs.
Wish there was more items for children to swim it’s hard to even get swimming lessons when only one person is involved with that as well.. we wasted hundred getting rec center cards only to be told afterwards can’t bring kids to swim unless x y or x and then there’s schedule issues as well.

Very appreciative for all the help and services this Rec and the employees provide! Leila, Brian, Sharon, Holly and Suzanne are all wonderful! Bringing my little to get swimming lessons soon! They may be small, but they are mighty! Thanks BPRD!
