SPR is the place to have your wedding! Our guests were floored by the beauty of the venue and the mountains. But most importantly, Lori and Rachel truly care for their guests and want you to have the wedding of your dreams. They were so incredibly flexible with accommodations and adjusting to EVERYTHING I asked for. They helped me bring my vision to life and if you’re a DIY bride, Lori will be a huge help. I did my flowers myself so in some free time on our wedding day, Lori and Rachel BUILT us a flower arch. I’m not sure you’ll find service like that anywhere else!

I cannot write enough good things about Lori and her team at Stove Prairie Ranch. I just had my wedding there at the end of September 2023 and although not everything went according to plan (thanks Colorado weather) Lori and her team went above and beyond to make our day absolutely spectacular! We planned our CO wedding while living overseas in Australia and Lori was so accomodating and flexible with virtual meetings/texting/phone calls/etc. She worked quit closely with my mom and was always so prompt in responding to emails and texts. Lori also took the time to show us around the property and venue multiple times when we came home for a visit.Lori has been in this business for awhile and it shows! She immediately picked up the vibe of the wedding we wanted and made sure everything looked beautiful. We had a very DIY wedding, but in all honesty Lori stepped up and felt more like our wedding planner and helped pull everything together. She is worth every penny!During our reception Lori and her team even brought up our two triangle arches and hung our neon sign up! When my husband and I went back to the cottage after the wedding she made sure all these little light candles were on and it felt so cozy and romantic! It's the little things that really stick out :)I received so many incredible compliments about our wedding and we will always hold a special place in our hearts for Stove Prairie Ranch. Definitely would recommend having a look at this venue for your wedding!

There is no stove prairie ranch. It's transmedia Inc. Basically a company set up to launder money from the owners ex company. There is no 500 acres. Owner sold most of it off to pay his extensive debt do to fraud and insider trading. Buildings for the venue are unpermitted for that activity. Almost all of them other than the front section of the upper barn. Treat their employees like slaves while the owner Flys around the world buying cheap women off of their backs. It's an incredible fake and lie. That ranch was bought back in the mid 80s for mervyns ex mistress as a place to dump excess money. He went to prison and she bailed out. That's all that place is. One incredible lie. Don't ever work for those people. All you are doing is helping fraud. And for those of you getting married there? Your union and love for each other is what makes that place beautiful. Not what that place actually is.

I had my wedding here September 2022 and it was incredible! The weather took a turn for the worst and Lori and her team did everything in their power to ensure it was the wedding of our dreams but never pressured us to make decisions (for examples, they never pressured us to move the reception into the barn even though we eventually had to due to the freezing temp). Lori was great at set up and really made the vision come to life! Her team set up the tables for us and even moved the arch mid reception for us into the barn so we could use it for photos. They were very accommodating by letting us visit the ranch many times to show our families (who live out of state). Lori knew it was freezing the day of my wedding and had a white fur coat ready for me to ensure I was not cold for photos. I would recommend this venue to anyone!!

When we saw Stove Prairie Ranch my daughter and her fiance fell in love with it! It was the perfect back drop for a perfect wedding! We loved that they book only one wedding a weekend and the variety of places to have the ceremony and reception made it a winner. The new dance floor and bar in the arena, made it a great choice for our reception. Lori Thomas, the wedding planner at Stove Prairie Ranch, made sure everything went smoothly on the day of the wedding. She helped guide us, answer our questions, and gave us thoughtful advice. She was easy to work with and we wouldn't have had such a wonderful day without her help.

I recently was at Stove Prairie Ranch for two styled shoots. It is such a wonderful venue hidden in the mountains of Colorado. The views and masonry aesthetic of the buildings are stunning. You feel like you are on a farm in the Scottish hills with all the stonework. There are so many photo ops on site too! Would highly recommend for your wedding.

Stove Prairie Ranch is absolutely beautiful and was a wonderful setting for our wedding, but working with their coordinator Lori was definitely one of the most stressful parts of planning our wedding. She never took a single note during our conversations so when she said she would send us something we would have to ask her five times, and I lost track of how many times she asked me about the color of tablecloths we wanted. If I emailed her with several questions she would answer only one or two of them so I would have to email her again. Without us prompting she would offer to do things that she didn't have to do and then when we agreed she would never do them, which was far less helpful and more annoying than if she hadn't offered in the first place. She also tried to switch our outdoor tent wedding to an indoor wedding without our approval and in violation of our contract. Things worked out overall, but the process was incredibly stressful. I would only recommend this venue if you hire your own coordinator and don't work directly with Lori.

If anyone is considering this for a wedding venue, think twice. Here is my experience. I did contract for a June wedding but because of the Covid -19 pandemic, was faced with a difficult decision to cancel. I requested a refund and was refused because "90 notice per contract was not given" - I gave 78 day notice which because of the government advising no more than 10, followed by a stay at home order and being at risk, giving 90 days was not possible.. The gathering order came out March 15. Venue would NOT have been cancelled but as there is a pandemic, yes, it was wise to cancel it. Apparently being reasonable in this time is not in their interest. This issue has been resolved

We meet with Lori, signed contract for our wedding, paid $5000 for the full cost that included her services as a wedding planner, and setup for 50 guests. The last time we heard from Lori was in early February. When Covid-19 pandemic continued we still did not hear from her; not a word. We made the very hard decision to cancel our wedding due to the fact we are both in the high risk group and many of our guests are as well. We contacted Lori via email. It took us twice before she responded. We were told that we were 12 days outside of the 90 day time period to cancel and she would not be refunding any of our money. She suggested we reschedule for a later date, resign a contract, and we had until mid-October of 2020 to use what we have already paid. When we got a lawyer involved she responded saying we could reschedule through 2021.It is still illegal to have gatherings of more than 10 people. Lori and Stove Prairie Ranch cannot honor their contract they have with us.Our wedding according to our contract is for 12 noon, June 6, 2020.Do NOT do business with Lori or this venue. She is not concerned about your health or safety. She will cash your check.

As a photographer, I don't have enough wonderful things to say about the Stove Prairie Ranch! It has spectacular mountain views and a secluded ranch feel. The staff went above and beyond to help familiarize me with the property and to keep the wedding running smoothly. The buildings are a photographer's dream with deep color and texture in the stone, and the bridal area has really lovely spaces to photograph details and getting ready. The variety of the scenery between the weathered stone barns, the sprawling meadows, the woods, and the mountain vistas makes it hard to believe all of the photos are in one place. Truly a one-of-a-kind venue, I highly recommend!

Stove Prairie Ranch has to be the most beautiful place for a wedding! My son and his wife were married here in August and it was perfect! The property is clean and the staff is incredibly helpful and efficient to work with. Lori and Mike will do whatever it takes to make your wedding the most memorable and special occasion. They were efficient and helpful to see that our every need was met. The cottage for the bridal party to get ready was amazing! It was so easy to have the girls there to have makeup, hair and have a kitchen for snacks throughout the day. Stove Prairie Ranch surpassed our expectations and made their day special and magical!
