The postmaster has zero integrity. He lost an arrow key and I confronted him as to where the key was, he said this is the key. I said no it's not, he said we switch Keys around all the time. I ended up calling the carriers union and HR that day, to let them know that this postmaster lost an arrow key and should be held accountable just like any other employee I got a phone call on Friday and the postmaster is trying to blame a carrier for his neglect on losing a key. I contacted all of the right people when he was denying losing a key. I even told the Snowmass postmaster he lost the key and the Snowmass Postmaster said, I'm sure he'll find it. Be careful when you put your mail in those blue boxes, because if a postmaster loses an arrow key they have to switch all the keys out. The fact that this postmaster has zero integrity and only lies. I would not put my mail in a blue box to save my life

Rude, not helpful. They lie about mail and make stuff up to cover no deliveries.
No mail again. 2 times this month it has not been delivered for 4-5 days.

If I could give zero stars I would. I live in old Snowmass and have a driveway on a hill and they refuse to drive up the hill or leave my packages down at the mailbox from Amazon. So they say that the driveway or the front door is not accessible, which is a lie, they are just too lazy to drive up the hill. And then when I call the post office they don’t answer. I ordered things from Amazon because I’m disabled Covid. They will tell you that they will try to redeliver it but never actually. They never even came to take my outgoing mail out of the mailbox for three days. I have requested not to use USPS with Amazon in the future because FedEx and UPS will happily drive up the hill. Worst PO ever!

Do not use the USPS through Basalt. 50% at best delivery receipt rate, takes them a month to get an envelope from one end of Basalt to the other. I feel real sorry for the workers there, it is woefully understaffed. I'm afraid the USPS idea nationwide has lost, it is a failing business model that cannot possibly keep up with real estate prices.

Super DISSATISFIED with USPS. I had mailed a card with a gift card in it to my friend in Colorado Springs CO around Christmas time 2023. USPS could not determine the address so I ended up getting my envelope back in the mail. It was completely OPENED UP and my gift card was not in there. !!!! This was discovered on 01/13/2024, I can't believe this, that we US citizens have to put our packages and letters in the hands of dishonest employees who tear your stuff up, loose your packages, and STEAL YOUR ITEMS. I WILL NOT EVER SEND ANYTHING THROUGH THEM EVER AGAIN.

If you want to get anything you order don’t order through usps, this post office is non functional you will not receive your mail and if you do it will be long long long after it was supposed to arrive, I have never came into this post office and left with i need. Been there 4 separate times for one package none of the times did i leave with it. Just give up on this place it makes me want to die every-time i go in there! They truly deliver an atrocious experience every single time without fail it’s almost impressive.

Why in the world is my package in Wiggins, CO after coming through this post office? I'm 15 minutes down the road from Basalt.

I understand they are short-staffed and we have had our fair share of "lazy" deliveries over the year, understandable. But we flat out do not get our mail delivered now. They have cited that there is not a carrier for our route and will not let us pick up packages at the post office. They simply refuse to look for the packages. How hard is it to rearrange a route to deliver to deliver mail and packages once a week and skip a day for a different route. Absolutely unacceptable.

Multiple days now without mail delivery, I know that they have items to be delivered because I can track them, being short staffed sucks, but come on now, congress mandates delivery 6 days a week, not one maybe two depending how we feel that day or what our staffing levels are. If USPS can't get delivering mail figured out, let us come and get our mail, that's a easy solution, oh wait, the lady behind the counter said I'm an idiot for even suggesting that and I need to be more sympathetic to their staffing issues and address my negative attitude. This USPS must think they are in competition with the drivers license folks.
