Awful people and awful care. Had to teach staff to do a finger prick. Doctors mocked me to their staff for asking for a lead screen. Won’t give me meds on a script that’s been the same for years. 0/10

My mom was scheduled for the appointment on 11/10in Rifle, we got a phone call only 20 min prior to her appointment that it needed to be rescheduled due to the power outage. When I called back, they said the next appointment would be in 4-6 weeks because she is a new patient. My mom can not wait that long and she needs to be seen by the doctor now because she is in pain. She can not afford to go to the emergency room because she doesn't have insurance. So many times my personal appointment was canceled with no advanced notice, and was rescheduled in several weeks. I thought Mountain Family was a clinic that helps all people with low or no income, but the reality is there is no way to get help in Mountain Family.

I had an appointment with Dr. Annelise Heckert at the Basalt office. I found Dr. Heckert and the rest of the staff professional, thorough and personable. As a new person in the area, I feel blessed to have found them. I had called several offices in Aspen, however, they required me to pay for the office visit, blood work and anything else I wanted up front and then have Medicare reimbursement me. This would have been very costly, possibly thousands of dollars and perhaps several months. Because I have secondary health insurance, I am confident that I won't be billed for anything. Basalt office, thank you for taking such good care of me.
