We needed to get away and absolutely love going to Glen Isle Resort. We went the weekend after Valentine's day. The cabins are beautiful and comfortable. You get everything you would think you would get from a mountain resort and more. The resort staff are friendly and will bend over backwards to make sure you are happy and comfortable. The area is beautiful, quiet and there was plenty of things to do to make the visit fun. The rustic lodge has been restored beautifully. I will definitely come back, when I need to get away again, and would recommend this place for a short or longer stay. You will never forget this place because of the amazing memories you will make.Rooms: Cabins have been beautifully restored, and are extremely comfortable, warm, spacious and cozy.

A unique experience! At first a little scared because the only thing I would change would be the door locks. It is a different place and stay. The Owner is a sweetheart!?Totally relaxing and detoxifying! The place is beautiful, the GLEN-VIEW Cabin is very comfortable♥️ Be very careful with the stairs to the second level, we slipped and two of us fell, it lacks something to prevent slipping. Successes!

We can't rave enough about how Glen Isle was the highlight of our wedding weekend. The staff is incredible but their story is even more incredible. Our guests were blown away by Glen Isle and all the beauty and history. Mary Ruth is so helpful, genuine and accommodating. We need more people in this world like her and her staff!! We can't wait to be back and celebrate anniversaries to come. We <3 Glen Isle!!!Nearby activities: So much to do on the property- see horses, our guests enjoyed disc golf, walking/hiking and group bonfire. Local eats are within 5 minutes.Safety: We felt safe the whole stay.

Glen Isle is magical. It's set on 160 acres outside of Bailey, CO in the Rocky Mountains. The lodge, pictured here, was built in 1901 and is historically educational as well as beautiful. The cabins are comfortably furnished with rustic touches everywhere. The scenery is gorgeous- a photographer's dream. If you want to experience Colorado as it really is - majestic, serene and rustic - visit Glen Isle and stay in one of the refurbished and lovely cabins available. The hosts are fabulous people who will strive to take care of your every need. There's no other place like it.

Glen Isle is a beautiful, magical property. My dog and I loved every minute of the week we spent here while visiting family. If you are looking for a pet-friendly property where you can hike and explore, I highly recommend Glen Isle - adventure right out the door of your cabin and cozy comforts inside!

I had my rehearsal dinner here and it was amazing. We had a food truck and a campfire and we all hung out and made s'mores. The space was magical and so fun.

Our family rented several of the cabins for the weekend my son got married. Everyone enjoyed our stay so much. Family members out of town got the full Colorado experience. The staff were accommodating to our every need and the cabins were stocked with electric blankets for the beds, firewood and so many things needed to make our stay memorable. We will absolutely be back!

Bringing the mystique back to life! Conveniently located for a quick getaway. My husband and I enjoyed a quiet night in one of the restored cabins before gathering our children from camp. For many years we've been drawn to the allure of this property. It is evident that Mary Ruth, Greg, their lead Janet and team have poured their heart into this special spot. Preservation is the focus. Celebrating and sharing the Tripp's collection of native artifacts is truly a testament of their appreciation for the rich history. We will definitely return.

Got to spend the weekend with our group this last weekend. First time I had been on the grounds, while others in the group make a point of staying here as often as possible. Now I understand why. This place is absolutely beautiful. From the cabins to the river to the overhanging cliffs, trails, and animals. We stayed in a large cabin near the river. The highway is on the other side and wasn't really noticable with the sound of the river nor is it very visible. The cabin was very clean with a full kitchen. The nice kitchen, separate large dining room/sunroom, large living room were a very pleasant surprise. Because it being my first time on the grounds and not knowing better, I expected it to be cramped, I was pleasantly surprised this was not the case with 7 adults and one small child. The river was very clean and beautiful, the ice cold water was clear enough to see the rocks, occasional fish and gold dust. If it wasn't so cold with the time of year, a few of us were tempted to go in.There was plenty of shade everywhere with the tall beautiful pine trees on the grounds full of wildlife and a few friendly horses. The entire property seems very well maintained and I didn't experience any trouble pushing my child in their stroller on the roads and some trails.Overall a great experience. My fiance and I, will now be looking into having our wedding here over some other venues.Thank you for the experienceRooms: Clean with closets and wood furniture. Easily fit 2-4 people in each roomNearby activities: Hiking, fishing, camping, lodging, Frisbee golfSafety: Well-maintained dirt roads and solar lights along the road and drivewaysWalkability: Most areas wouldn't require hiking shoes

Nice traditional style place. Good for those who are looking for original place to stay. Good location and easy access from the highway. Owners are easy to talk to and knowledgeable about the area history.

One visit won't be enough to see it all We booked a cabin for our wedding anniversary. DH, a visitor when he was a tyke, kept wandering around, showing me the amazing Native American artifacts and the Victorian fish tank: "I can't believed it's all still here!" Looking forward to camping another time.
