Vail Extreme Rentals is the way to go if you are looking for a NO HASSLE rental.We called Matt on a Saturday evening and were out riding the very next day. We have a 3 year old daughter who was able to tag along for the ride as well which was awesome because most rentals like this have an age and height limit.One of our favorite things about Vail Extreme rentals is that the trails are right in his back yard. He was very helpful with finding a good trail fit for us. We are from Texas so having the trails right there was the best. (So we wouldn’t have to haul it anywhere)We are already planning our next trip back to rent from him.

We had a blast with our family renting from vail extreme rentals. Everything was explained very well and they were available to answer any questions we had out on the trail. Would definitely rent from them again. They care about making your rental go smoothly and safely.

Matt and the team were great! Our 4-door JK had front and rear lockers and climbed everything we pointed it at. Matt also helped us map out a route that checked all our boxes - technical terrain, high mountain lakes and great food! We will be back to ride the snow bikes!

10/10 experience. Matt (owner) and Jim made it super easy to make a reservation and pick up the dirt bikes. They had plenty of gear (helmets, boots etc) to choose from and a ton of bike options. We went with the Honda 250s which were perfect for the trails we were on.The trails are super close to the shop, and they helped us download the maps to our phone to let us GPS track ourselves so we were never lost. The trails are AMAZING. There are some easy routes if you’re not super comfortable with off-roading, but also plenty of hardcore terrain to explore.Early on, we accidentally dropped a bike and broke off a brake lever; Matt was really nice about it and let us replace that bike with an ATV so we could still have fun with our day. These guys are incredibly responsive and are always willing to help out however they can to make sure you have a great day.I highly recommend using Vail Extreme Rentals if you want a no-hassle experience and to explore the Rocky Mountains in a way that no gondola or chairlift can show you.

The owner offered to give me a ride back down into town when I drowned my dirt bike on Hardscrabble Mountain, I was able to bump start it in gear while rolling it down hill, but the offer of assistance will not be forgotten.

Might have been the most fun we have every had on snow bikes. Great service bikes were awesome and well maintained. Will be back for sure.

Go elsewhere. Matt Miller the owner sold me a snowmobile from his rental business. First he lied about the miles, and the condition, I bought it anyway, except he took the parts off that were in the pictures, it was dark. when confronted he said he could make it right and then ghosted me. Also told me the snowmobile came with a cover that's worth a few hundred dollars, and after I paid him he got out some tattered torn piece of junk cover that wasn't worth nothing, blew off on the way home. He Won't respond. Dishonest, unwilling to make it right. Don't do business with him.

Excellent service, excellent machines. Hands down the BEST unguided rental service in Vail Valley! They have the newest and best kept equipment and including helmets and gear. The staff is professional and easy to work with, with an easy to find accessible location. They showed us how to download the free Avenza maps app so we knew where to go and where we were at all times. We rented two times this year and both experiences were 5 stars. Thank you Vail Extreme Rentals!

Poor way to end our winter vacation. Myself and three of my friends rented four rmk 800 mountain sleds for two days. The first day we went out we had a problem with one of the machines not running correctly. Thankfully one of us is an engine mechanic and was able to get the machine back up and running. (We still lost two hours of our day repairing our machine) Upon returning the machines the first afternoon the owner called us accusing us of breaking the machine which was not the case. We returned to the rental shop the next day to pick up the sleds, we are immediately told that we owe money for replacing other parts that we’re not broken on the machine. Agreeing to pay for the parts so we can carry on with our day, we are then asked to take a refund and not rent the machines the second day after asking what would happen if our machines broke again. The lack of professionalism and poor attitude from the owner is the main reason for my one star review. We will be renting from a different company next year. We had a great afternoon driving on the trails with a nice Polaris RZR! It was nice because you could access the trails directly from the shop. The staff was great and gave us some good ideas of where to go. Unfortunately my husband isn't the best map reader so we got lost a few times! Lol! You can't go wrong renting one of these! We had a great day of family fun!

Haven't been through everything yet but doing a road trip and very unfamiliar with the area but have experience in off road vehicles Matt was very professional with getting back to me and answering all my questions in a timely matter can't wait for July to write another good review about the whole experience

Simply rental process, provided everything I needed, great communication and the equipment I rented was a Honda RX Freeride snow bike. Helped unload and load the bike in my truck. The bike came with great aftermarket accessories that made the bike ride great and on a newer dirt bike chassis. I rode hard pack to waste deep powder and had great time riding. I was amazed how well the aftermarket grip warmers and the Yeti Freeride track worked on this bike. Will be renting again this spring. Rode Togwotee Pass area.

We went to Vail Extreme Rentals to rent a RZR UTV. It was an absolutely amazing experience. We ended up renting their base model 4-seater and it was awesome. We never lacked for any power and the suspension was great.DEFINITELY download a map of the trail to your phone before hand (we used OnX because it was a free 7 day full trial) as it is really easy to get lost without it.Staff was excellent and very personable.
