June 2024 by Kids Just Wanna Have Fun
My friends and I came here to make jewelry and have a fun girls day, Jenny was so friendly and helped us make some fun jewelry that we all wear often. Jenny also changed my watch battery, and cleaned all my jewelry, so I will be back.

Regarding your response to your post -
You told me you changed the battery and then told me you were training your employee to do it. You didn't realize she left the watch piece on the counter out of my watch. My watch was loosing about 4 minutes in time and when I came in and was told the piece you saved was from my watch was holding the battery in. After she put the piece in, my watch, it was loosing 25 minutes. It was worse than the first time. Bottom line, you shouldn't be training employees to handle the internal delicacies of a watch without proper equipment and loops. She didn't know what she was doing and accidently damaged the tiny arm that held the battery in. You both were nasty with your comments to me and didn't want to take responsibility. I've owned many watches over the years and never had a watch stop working after a battery replacement. Very Sad at the whole experience.......Karma always comes full circle.

One star only because the owner refunded our money, but they don't even deserve that. My wife and I took our watches in for battery replacements at Portafino's in Avon Colorado and they left a piece out of my wife's Bullova watch when they replaced it with an old/new battery. My wife and I returned a few months later to replace the battery under warranty (1 year) and when we arrived the girl behind the counter said "Oh we were hoping that you would come back because we left out a piece out of your watch and that's probably why it won't keep time". The girl took the watch into the back room and put the piece that was missing back in the watch and brought it back out to us and apologized for for forgetting the piece when they changed the battery.
Three days later, the watch is keeping time even worse and my wife decided to bring the watch back in to the store and have the battery replaced. The owner of the store used a piece of tape to hold the battery down in the watch and told my wife this and proceeded to tell her that it was damaged previously and that it wasn't anything they did. The watch has worked fine for several years until we brought it into this store! They did not take responsibility of damaging the arm that holds the battery in my wife's watch and proceeded to tell her that she has been doing this for 28 years and never had any problems changing batteries before. Then at one point she said she has used tape to hold the battery down in other watches where the arms didnt hold it down. The girl that replaced the missing piece three days ago proceeded to tell my wife - that she didn't brake the watch and called it a cheap $45 JC Pennies watch. The owner of the store said she was in training! Caught in many lies or should I say - shot herself in the foot.
Take your watch to a real jewelers, not a jewelry clothing store. Watches have delicate components and should be done by a professional jeweler, not someone in training that doesn't even use magnifying loops.
The shop we went to was Portafino Jewelers in Avon Colorado!

I was greeted by the owner, Jenny, who assisted me in finding the right watch or me. Jenny was very knowledgeable as to her product and treated me as a valued customer. Rather than just motivated to make a sales, She wanted to insure I got the right watch. I found one I really liked. I have looked on line but get the hands on experience if I really liked the product plus no one to speak about. I had actually been shopping in Denver stores for a watch but became frustrated with traffic, waiting in lines, pushy sales staff, and sales staff who respond I just started working here so I don't know. Well, I selected my watch and pleased Jenny discounted it, thus by buying local I had a Pleasant Experience All Around, Exactly What I Wanted, and Paid Less for a Quality Watch... Thank You Jenny!

I've shopped at Portofino Jewelry and I've brought in numerous items for repair over the years. Jenny is so kind and generous with her time and knowledge. And I always find something I can't live without when I visit her store!

The most precious jewelry store we have here locally. I’m lucky to live so close where I can come and buy from them. I shop here frequently and enjoy picking out unique and beautiful items. I’ve come here for items for myself and gifts for friends and family. I’ve bought many pieces, earrings and rings, and I wear them all daily. I picked out a pretty and simple ring and the owner Jenny had my ring sent and fitted for me to my size. All the staff is incredibly friendly and they greet me and engage in conversation with me each time I walk in. Jackie is so sweet and chats with me every time I see her. I highly highly recommend coming here, the service is wonderful, the prices are incredibly affordable for this valley, the staff and owner are sweet and friendly. Such a great environment.

I discovered Portofino Jewelry a couple of years ago and have purchased many pieces for my wife. Jenny is great to work with and is very knowledgeable. I received the best value for my dollar here as I shopped many stores before I decided to become a Portofino jewelry customer.

We were in town on vacation and came here for one of their jewelry making classes for our 5 and 12 year old. Jenny was great with the kids and helped them make some custom jewelry which they LOVED. The staff made it a good experience beyond just the content of the class. We got done past closing time and mentioned our daughter needed her ears pierced. She offered to do it even though it was already past closing time and did a great job. Thanks for your kindness and for making the day a memorable experience for our daughters!

I've always paid $ 6 at Walmart to change the batteries in my watches, but this time I wanted to support a local store. Since they serve very well and are very friendly ☺️. The cost of my battery change was $ 25. I understand that it is a smaller store but paying an extra $19 for the same service that Walmart gives seemed too much ?
