Customer service is always bad, and they never have the products I need (just rows of products absent from shelves). Also, I'm not sure why ulta's perfume sections are becoming so unintuitive...also they never have samples out.

From SoCal to Denver Ulta never fails to disappoint. They find the most tired unpleasant rude workers and hire them to represent Ulta and they do that so well. They don’t even bother to welcome customers and when they r asked for assistance they have answers ready, which is “ No we don’t have it, sorry. Check online” when it says it’s in stock on their website. I had to complain to the cashier to get some help. Lesson learned for next time tho . What ever product, Just order it online directly from the manufacturer or check elsewhere. Ulta is like an afterthought to me at this point.

I used to love shopping here until a few weeks ago i came to ulta and was checking out fenty beauty and as i was checking out fenty beauty a worked had ask if i needed help and i said no thank you and as she walked away i went over to hour glass and not even 5 minutes she asked again if i needed help and i said again no thank you and she walked away again.After she walked away she comes back 5-8 mins again and asked me AGAIN and i said i'm good and then she did this 3 more times i couldnt even shop and i left the store and came back last week where i was greeted and as i walked in i went to the hair beauty items and as i was checking out the hair items the lady working on the hair cashier/counter gave me such a dirty look and as i walked away i noticed emoployess were following me like i was steaing and i come to this ulta alot so this isn't normal and i was walking they employess tryed to look like they werent following me but were so i left the store with nothing because i felt very Uncomfortable with all of them following and i planeed to buy a couple of things but walked out with 0...hoping ulta can fix this problem

I have never had such an odd and aggressive shopping experience.I went into the store on December 23rd around 4pm. Store was nice, picked up about $120 worth of stocking stuffers for my wife. Easy to find stuff while my 1-year-old son was strapped to my chest. But when I went to check out, things got weird.The young lady at the checkout asked if I had a loyalty program. I said, “no and I don’t want one”. The cashier then asked if anyone I knew had one and I said, “I don’t want to give any information out, thanks.”They then said, “well without a loyalty account we cannot do return”. I said, that’s “odd, I am pretty sure that’s not the case”. The cashier then proceeded to raise her voice tell me that that I’m wrong and they won’t honor any returns without a membership.Okay… weird. But I can move on. I got to get home, and I don’t like to argue in front of my kids.So, I pay and ask for a printed receipt (of course at this point) and read the back which clearly states the return policy without a membership [see photo].I show this to the cashier and say “you might want to check in with your manager as the policy on the receipt clearly allows for returns without a membership and a receipt”.My original cashier and two other cashiers then begin to yell at me that they don’t honor that policy. I say “you understand this is considered a point-of-sale legal agreement, right? It’s a type of contract, you have to honor it”.Again, I’m yelled at by three cashiers that this isn’t the case.I decide “whatever, not my monkeys” and walk out. The original cashier proceeds to follow me out of the store to continue berating me until I am out the door.Again, all of this is while I have my one-year-old son strapped to my chest.I have never shopped at a company where the sales staff yells at me just because I don’t want a membership or that I pointed out their return policy on their own receipt contradicts what they are telling me. I don't know if it was the holiday rush stress or whatever. Still a truly bizarre shopping experience to say the least.My wife had, up till now, spent a ton of money at this store. I guess she’ll be taking her business elsewhere.

Buyer beware of defective items - it is your responsibility after 60 days to find and contact the manufacturer for resolution. Ulta has zero customer service or direction for replacing items that are defective. I bought a $250 hair dryer (never spent that much on a hair dryer in my life!) and it died after six months. Now - I'm trying to track down the manufacturer in hopes of getting a replacement.

Can’t even sample cologne anymore. Everything is behind a lock. I left empty handed, this just ruins the customer experience.

Ordered online. Didn’t get the “free gifts” offered online in my bag. Asked them about it and they’re like “I don’t know. I didn’t pack that one, guess we ran out” ? not super thrilled to be honest.

I love this store? I go for all my beauty needs, cosmetics, skin care, bath salts, They have so many brand names, I dont need to order online..

I’m from Arizona and I went to this ulta just to look around cause it was my favorite store . Me and my mom go in and this employee keeps following me as if I’m about to steal. They also get someone else. It got too uncomfortable so I just grabbed one thing and left. She kept staring. I think it was cause of race and I’m only minor.

Store associates are rude and condescending. Talking down to customers. I'll take my business elsewhere rather than be disrespected by miserable employees.

This ULTA is terrible! I went in to go buy hair dye! I was targeted as soon as I entered! Just because I am not a white woman! The security guy kept following us around! It made us feel very uncomfortable! Renee just for your information I bought all my items! You rang me up! That’s why I avoid ULTA at all costs! Oh, also Renee just because someone doesn’t look like you doesn’t mean they are in there to steal! That’s why this country is how it is because of racist people like Renee! I am so angry and upset!!! ULTA do better! Never ever going to that ULTA in my life!

I came into this Ulta to help my friend find makeup for our concert we’re going to, once we walked in the security guard kept following us and kept a close eye on us. Very uncomfortable experience, not only that but at least 4 employees plus the security guard were talking about other customers appearances and laughing and they especially talked about me and my friend. Now I see why most people buy their products online, doesn’t feel great to be in a “mean girl” environment. 0/10 never coming again.
