Don't buy anything without checking expiration dates!!! They obviously don't check them. My husband picked up cream cheese and it had expired just over a month prior. Then he picked up Cottage cheese and it was 11 days out of date. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS SAFEWAY!! Why are expired items on your shelves? Dairy products especially!!!

Placed online order on Saturday.at Hampden in Aurora, Co
Received expired items from May 2nd and my purchase was May 4th.
Purchased chicken buy 1 get 1 free.
I purchased 4 got 1 free.
Phone lines to store did not work on Saturday.
Called customer service on Saturday for refund. Today is Tuesday. No refund has been given. Told me I should contact store for expired items.
I will never, ever go to that store again. In the past had similar issues of missing items, and over charges. If you shop there. Check your expirations and receipts. As staff pricing your items obviously do not check expirations and store must not check shelves for expiration. It was Cinco de zmayp..how can tortilla chips be expired!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!@!

I was at the store to talk to the manager about a price discrepancy and the manager was really upset about I don’t know so I just said you can’t help me and walked out the store so the manager chased me to the parking lot and he yelled at me sir you are banned from the store, I can’t believe that well bye bye bye bye Safeway.

They do not have a good selection of pasta or of coffee. Some notable Italian brands are not represented very well. The dairy section is awfully small. Overall I find it difficult to shop there.

Another failed shopping expedition to Safeway; I went in the morning, but the store was nonetheless out of stock of two of the first five items I looked for -- one was shown in stock, but not on the shelf, another was in stock, but months past its best-by date. Safeway routinely advertises goods for sale it does not send to stores -- no artichokes, e.g. despite they're being advertised in the weekly flyer. I am sick of Safeway's lousy performance!

Worst night manager, teens stealing alcohol. Tapped him on the shoulder as he was on the phone at self checkout. He yelled at me to mind my business, told me to never touch him then told me to leave. This was just before they locked the doors do to all the people who steal from the store. I have been a loyal customer since the doors 1st open. Farewell by Zack, Dave, June and Ms. Kim. Pretty lame when you get done shopping for $200+ of groceries then the staff closes down all the checkouts forcing you to ring up an entire cart of groceries at a tiny self checkout out. Especially when you have multiple items that need to be checked on the computer and none of them are matching. Last time I grocery shop at this place.

Was confused about membership and digital methods of saving. Very nice employees educated me and I saved $22 !
