Went in early morning for a sharp pain in my abdomen and they were able to run test and conclude I’d have to undergo appendix removal surgery. They got me into surgery before noon and I was back home early afternoon. I couldn’t thank the staff enough for taking great care of me prior and during the surgery. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. Feeling a lot better now!

Everything I had to do today (appt) was fast! I was pleasantly surprised, now that I know where everything is! When it first opened it was a MAZE!

The VA has been great! Is a person crashed into me and now I have Aphasia. Therapist with Speech, OT, and PT, have really helped me! I'm reading again, hopefully I'll soon get my dryson driver license back, and they helped me bring my balance back. I was in really bad shape. But now I am almost kind of back to normal. They have helped me with billing issues, administrative stuff and other issues. They even helped me arrange a intensive program too. I cannot thank them enough. They really got my life back. It was a lot of trouble and they really helped me. Everybody gets mad about the VA, but in my case it was not true. Every Vet has a different experience. Keep doing hard work and I know you guys can do it too!

This VA center WILL cost veterans their life. It likely will cost me mine. The complete disregard for my own life has left me terrified for other vets going there, as they may not understand the level of gaslighting, incorrect diagnosis, callousness that this particular center exhibits to their patients. Unfortunately, all of my disabilities were caused by a significant episode of malpractice while in service. When they are in the news for yet another veteran suicide, I hope someone finally uncovers the sheer malpractice occurring here. From the ER not treating anaphylaxis (had to use my VA prescribed Epi in front of the doctor who was still evaluating my mental state and calling officers to protect staff (while they mocked me and the dr continuing trying to evaluate my elicit drug use age (there is none),to the ortho doctor who told me I was perfectly fine to walk on my TKA after not even evaluating it (had torn my MCL and had I listened to him, would have likely needed a revision), to the ER and hospital trying to cover up malpractice, to the doctor who just called me to tell me, yet again, that they will NOT support IV Ketamine treatment for me because I take a gummy of cannabis a night (supported by my entire VA med team), to simply not providing medical care. I have begged this hospital too many times to save my life. To care for the veterans who are under their care. The VA never diagnosed my CRPS, and continued telling me my pain was not real, until diagnosed out in town. It has been 14 years. And even trying to get services for the state of my body at this point, I am only told those things aren't for me, because I am too young. Rocky Mountain, shame on you.

If you need to use a wheelchair, either bring your own, or plan on waiting. While there are plenty of people asking COVID questions, there was no one to help with wheelchairs. The wheelchairs available are not for self use, they require a second person to push you. The place is enormous, one and a half city block long hallway. I was on crutches and needed to go from one end to the other. No one to push, no wheelchair that I could use on my own. Took about 20 minutes to crutch my way from parking entrance to building E. Missed appointment by 15 minutes and was not able to be seen. Plan to be able to traverse a city block to get seen. If you have trouble walking, ensure you bring help, you probably will be asked multiple times about COVID, but no one available to assist with wheelchairs designed for pushing only and not for self use.Good luck!

Some things in life are so simple until you can miss it even with a fifth grade level of thinking. We ALL hear of gun violence in the nation everyday. The question some will ALWAYS ask is what the federal government is doing to control gun control. YOU would think that ALL federal government agencies have strict and prohibited policies that bans the display the sale of ANY firearms to the general public in office environments. As a service-connected veteran rated 70% for PTSD of the Vietnam Era and Gulf War magazines for the sale of guns are TRIGGERS and a red flag. There is nothing worse when your PTSD is triggered and YOU attempt not to engage your thoughts or entertain them. Simply put, some issues are preventable especially in the workforce. No so at the billion dollar $$$$ Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center, Aurora, CO. The waiting area in the pharmacy and blood lab was literally filled with gun magazines. You read it RIGHT! They were reading material for even the youngest at heart to see and read. Still wonder why kids and teens are doing mass shootings and violence's in the workforce increases? When a federal agency promotes and advertises which gun you should buy YOU can expect violence's. The average civilian medical facility does NOT allow and WILL NOT promote the sale of firearms or display magazines in their office. So why a federal facility? Rocky Mountain Regional VA has failed Abraham Lincoln's message "To fulfill President Lincoln's promise "To care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan" by serving and honoring the men and women who are America's veterans." If they are fulfilling the message of gun violences veterans need to think about seeking treatment through the Community Care Program.

I think the VA gives awesome care if you are not sick. They take care of all your preventative care with care and professionalism. But don't get sick. I went to them for 4 months do to serious health concern. The kept performing the same test over and over again and coming to the same results. never digging further and saying nothing was wrong and sending me on my way. After my condition worsened I went to a doctor outside of the VA who had a complete lab workup done on me and I was diagnosed properly within 48 hours and now I am getting the proper care. I thank the VA for the all the great preventative care they have given me, but I wish the didn't get tunnel vision when I got sick

Ifs still under COVID guidelines as of me writing this review so make sure you bring a mask. It's a new campus with pretty much everything the old one had. Personally, I think trying to buy some of the college buildings on the old campus would have cost less and it could have added housing for homeless veterans. The patriot store is bigger and of course there is a Starbucks. I don't drink coffee so I have nothing to say about it other than they should have allowed a local company instead of a corporation to run it. There are a handful of kiosks in the center of the main floor. Most of the staff transferred to the new one as well.I don't agree with the colossal waste of taxpayer dollars when the old campus could have been renovated for much less. Yeah, parking was difficult but again, there was a parking garage already built next door. This place is well out of the way for me but it's pretty rare I go here. Normally I go to the Golden clinic. My biggest complaint about VA care is it's impossible to build a rapport with your provider because you rarely see them for longer than 30 minutes a few times a year. Next time I go, I will get more pictures of the inside. I thought there would be dozens of them so I didn't take any.

Been getting care at RMRVAMC for a few years now and at the Claremont location the few years prior. Always happy with the quick, thorough and FREE care.If you had a bad experience, it’s likely to do with your inconsideration of COVID-19 policies, you are not enrolled in the VA healthcare system (you’re not squared away), the facility was short-staffed as many hospitals are, or you were exceptionally rude with the staff (as I have often seen some veterans be).
