Just had the most ridiculously frustrating checkout experience that caused my two item checkout to turn into a more than 30 minute ordeal. The machines kept freezing, so I had to wait around while the computer and credit cards terminal rebooted. Then I was sent over to customer service to get more help.
I had to redo my checkout multiple times. I was finally able to get my order through and get my receipt, but then the cash box wouldn’t open. So I had to wait around again while they were trying to figure out how to open the cashbox. Someone finally came to get it open but not a single person apologized from management for the inconvenience. Really?
Huge shoutout to Ismael who stayed with me from start to finish to make sure this was resolved. Please give him a raise or I will poach him away to my office because he is the sweetest person ever.”
“Evan at self check out was above and beyond what a "typical" employee performs. From the moment I entered the store he was inviting and wanting to assist me. Then on my way out even made sure everything was in the right spot and there was plenty of options to choose from. Management should take note of his work ethic, customer care, innate ability to build positive and friendly relationships, and more importantly his overall positive minds tate and making customers feel CARED for. ?”

“Big chains frequently receive bad reviews, largely because of staffing issues and trickle-down effect (issue) related to those issues. I wanted to take a minute to give some much needed praise to the management team at the Aurora Home Depot #1501 and Sedgwick, their claims management company. Exactly one week ago I backed my big ol' pickup truck into a parking space just like I've done thousands of times before. From the view of my backup camera I could see that there was a tree just behind the curb of my spot, what I didn't see was the tree branch that protruded over and into my parking spot...then I heard the sound of glass shattering and knew that could only mean one thing. The very cool all-glass rear door of my extended-height topper must have hit something...but what? I could see the tree a safe distance from my rear bumper in my camera, I was perplexed. This is where the "picture is worth a thousand words" saying comes into play. Either Home Depot or Sedgwick could have said "you backed your truck into a tree and think it's our fault?" Rather, they both saw their liability in the incident and ponied up to pay the roughly $1K it's going to cost me to replace the rear door. Thank You!”

I needed to buy blinds last minute, and Clark, a friendly and helpful employee, went out of his way to assist me. He helped me choose the right blinds for my needs, and even cut them to size for me. I'm so grateful for his help, and I highly recommend Home Depot to anyone looking for excellent customer service.”
“Not a bad spot. The parking lot is usually pretty full. I recommend parking by the exit, that's where all of the registers are inside. I find it easier to get in and out this way. The staff always seem to be friendly too. We appreciate it. Thanks for all the hard work during these times.”
“We are remodeling and are spending quite a bit of time and $ these days at Home Depot! I wish I'd checked the young ladies name tag. There were 2 of them and I should have checked for both names. We were having a large load being delivered to our home. The great young lady wasn't sure of the definition to the delivery "threshold" and wanted to be sure of the understanding. The other one... said click it and not my problem where they delivered. Our cashier took the time to find the understanding. Greatly appreciated her customer service and care.”
