This practice has had a revolving door of doctors and PAs. Doctors and medical staff have always been good, but I’ve had very stressful experiences since New West Physicians came into the picture. I was even told today that there’s been a billing issue for 2-3 months. They are not seeing billing codes that are clearly printed on the Explanation of Benefits that my insurance company sent me. After being in the ER and ICU at the end of January I shouldn’t be dealing with this at the end of April. It’s now July and STILL dealing with New West Physicians billing department. They actually called me last week to ask me for my insurance member ID which they’ve had for years. I’ve had to put in multiple appeals claims with Blue Cross, all because of New West Physicians. The saga continues with this horrible company. Even the phone number they give in their response to me to speak to a Practice Manager is invalid. At the end of March 2024 I was pretty sick and spoke to an oncall doctor who charged my insurance $387 and Blue Cross denied the claim and an appeal because it was a teleheath visit, so now I have to pay that amount and New West said there's nothing they can do to change the codes. Wow! And, still waiting to hear from Blue Cross 2nd level appeals committee because of a $500 fee they charged me because of the hospital or New West physician who didn't get the authorization that only they could do. That date of service was Jan 30, 2024 and it's now Aug 8, 2024.

Sharon at the desk is the sweetest woman ever! She's so genuinely kind, and I look forward to seeing her and talking to her over the phone.
The PA I see is Sarah Story, and she is amazing. I am so comfortable with her. She is kind and personable. I was very lucky to find this place.

Dr. Smyth is so wonderful. We've been patients at this office for more than 8 years. Dr. Colander was perfect, but he retired over a year ago. I'm so happy to say that Dr. Smyth has filled some big shoes. He is compassionate, caring, professional, and has a terrific bedside manner. He goes above and beyond. We are super pleased with Dr. Smyth - he's AWESOME!

I'm a pre-pandemic patient. Things started changing post pandemic when staff started to leave. I stayed with them as my care is pretty straight forward. Most recent incident - I couldn't get them to respond to my pharmacy on my 90 day Statin refill. They don't let much time go between refills (probably due to regulations). When I called, I learned that my prescriber is no longer with the practice. I also learned that my new insurance eff 1/1 is not accepted. So I'm rushing to find a new primary care doctor as my statin runs out on Thursday in two days.

There were some hiccups in the beginning of our relationship, but since then Dr. Smyth has been terrific. Communication has been fantastic and I appreciate the care that I've been given. I think I finally found my PCP. Thank you Dr. Smyth!!

They keep taking my reviews down. The office staff refused to schedule an appointment when i called with panic attacks. After an invasive amount of deatils on the issue the response was "What do you want us to do."No appointment. So i asked about my last set of tests that they NEVER responded to and i asked if i could get an appointment to see the doctor. "No, no news is good news so there is no reason." No appointment.I should have know on first visit when i was screaming in pain with a broken impant and all he wanted to do was try and be a psychiatrist.

Wild. Went to my appointment with my medical records, filled out my paperwork, and the doctor told me I'd have to come back with my medical records, which I had in my email. The receptionist then told me I'd be charged for the visit. Told her that was ridiculous and illegal as the doctor didn't see me in his capacity as a clinician. Tempers got heated and both myself and the manager threatened to call the cops on eachother. I own my part in this, but when the doctor finally was asked what to do he obviously said not to bill me. Worked out alright, but wasted an hour of my life.

Dr. Higgins is the best! She takes me seriously and she gives me accurate advice for my health. She's very knowledgeable about heart health, nutrition, Diabetes and Blood Pressure, I feel like I am in control of my health after my appointments. The front desk service is amazing as well, always friendly and easy to communicate with. 10/10 Recommend this provider! (:

I was extremely sad to hear of the retirement of Dr. Kevin Scott. He was the best doctor that I've had in a while. I didn't think anyone could fill his place but I have to tell you that I LOVE me some Anna Higgins. (She is so great)They are both great with the patience, codeous and extremely professional. Please hold on to Anna at all cost, she is fantastic.

So horrible! The ladies at the reception desk were so friendly and bright enjoyed them. The young lady that took me back. I guess she’s a medical clerk that took my weight my blood pressure and my blood later was absolutely the rudest young lady I have met in the longest time! The new doctor, taking over, for Dr Lewis, was more than just rude. She made me feel as if I was making up the diagnosis I was given by a very professional neurologist at the UC Health Highlands Ranch hospital. She repeated several times that I was incorrect about what I was diagnosed with. And then I was not having mini strokes just migraine headaches. Which means that the UC health hospital in Highlands Ranch on 10 different occasions got my diagnosis wrong. She tried to put me on a very strong, anti-depressant and I’m not depressed or anxious. I just cannot believe how rude the young doctor was. I cannot still believe it, and the young, Hispanic medical aid, she’s not a nurse, treated me. I will not be back!! My husband and I are still in shock! If that young lady worked for me , she would be fired immediately! ?

This place has been going down hill for at least the past year.
