DO NOT GO HERE! Read all the reviews first. They are spot on. Tried to drop off a friend here to rent a car. We noticed they closed at 5pm. On our way, my friend called and said “if I’m there at 5:01 is that okay” and whoever answered said yes that will be fine. We got there at 5:01, doors were locked. Brittany Ware, the manager, came out the side door and we flagged her down. There was another group of people also showing up at that time trying to rent a car. Brittany told all of us she was not here to argue, she said the closing time was on the door (5pm) and that if we wanted the car we should’ve gotten here at 4:50. She offered no solutions to help. She said “well you didn’t talk to me so idk who you talked to”. Nobody tried arguing with her, we just said “why are we able to make a car reservation for 5pm if you close at 5pm” to which she shrugged and got in her car. She even came back to the store about 5 minutes later to pick something up that she forgot. We were sitting in the parking lot trying to find another place to rent a car. In that time she could’ve just grabbed the keys. So many things could’ve been done to provide actual customer service. Instead Brittany chose to be demeaning, rude, and show complete lack of care. I would’ve understood if we showed up at 5:05, but again we showed up at 5:01 and even called before to let them know that’s when we’d be there. Either fire Brittany or shut this place down. That was horrid. And shame on Hertz for having countless negative reviews for this location and responding to each saying “sorry you didn’t get 5 star service, please message us at ____”.

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent rental experience with Hertz. I reached out four times and spoke to four different representatives, but my issue STILL remains unresolved.
I rented a car for five days, but it only worked properly for three. Two hours into my road trip, the car began to shake violently, making it unsafe to drive. I was advised to continue driving to my destination, despite the car’s issues. I have a case number for that call, yet Hertz customer service claims they were unaware of the car’s problems and insists I should have returned it immediately.
Following the initial advice, I drove for two days at 20 MPH below the speed limit because the car would shake uncontrollably above 60 MPH. Upon reaching my destination, I exchanged the car. I requested a two-day prorated rate but was only offered a $50 gift card.
This experience has been incredibly frustrating and inconvenient. I hope Hertz can address this issue and improve their customer service.

If I can rate them a zero I would. Literally sat on the phone for an hour waiting to get scheduled for an appointment through the insurance company, spoke to a really sweet lady who worked pretty hard and then by the time I connected with the Havana office at 998 S. Havana I was literally irritated and hate that I even given my time to these people. The guy spoke to was rude, unprofessional, not helpful at all, and shouldn’t even have the job

I called to check in on the waitlist for a rental, and the representative who answered was very short, assuming, and hung up the phone before I had an opportunity to finish asking my questions. It’s clear this business’s focus is not on customer service.

I just had an amazing experience at the Hertz off Havana. Brittney made my experience enjoyable by being swift, efficient and super kind. The phones were busy and she was busy but still provided great customer service. Thank you Brittney!

Negave 100 stars! Booked a reservation through insurance and said that there is a vehicle available today at 4pm. Called Hertz directly to verify that there is indeed a vehicle reserved for me and said yes there is a Full sized Sedan reserved. I got at the store around 3:50 pm and they took my ID and said that there is no available vehicle. I told DIEGO that i called to verify my reservation and he said that it is a first come first serve policy. So why the heck are we booking RESERVATIONS, if it is a first come first serve policy? Aren't they suppose to hold the vehicle for the person who RESERVED IT? It doesn't make sense. And the dude asked for my ID just to say that there is no vehicle available lol What a bum

there were 2 men at the counter when I arrived. Super friendly and very attentive. I got there early for my pick up and the vehicle I had reserved was not ready. The manager came in and told them to upgrade me!!! Great experiance and super staff!!!

Brittany (the manager on duty) was the rudest person I have had to deal with in a very long time. I rented a vehicle on a debit card with a Dollar Express account, which allows me to rent with a $200 deposit, and Brittany told me that is not true. I paid the $500 deposit, even though I shouldn’t have had to. I then showed her Dollar’s new policy updates as of 4-1-2024, that states I do not have to pay $500, instead it should be $200. She told me I didn’t understand, then she said my Express ID was not linked (and she is suppose to do that, then she said she would cancel my rental I just paid for. She got aggressive and in my face (I have it on video), and then said I was aggressive with her ? The worst rental location EVER. What happened to customer service. And I already paid the $500, just wanted her to know for the future. When I asked to talk to her manager she ignored me, yet said he told her to cancel the rental. But I wanted to explain the situation so he could use this as a teaching moment. She told me to give her the keys and she refused and called the cops on me.

Let’s start off with unprofessional management, rude, condescending and lack simple customer skills to make sure customer will return. Enough said. Hertz is better off closing down this store.

I rarely give bad reviews but I feel it's important to give HONEST insight so that others can have a little extra insight so ìm sorry but hertz was very disappointing I went to the Aurora location at 998 south havana the employees were ok yes friendly but they're expensive n not at all helpful if things go wrong or they change rental procedures or policies and leave you stranded very disappointing but best things that could Have happened because I found budget thanks hertz!!! (Lol, in my sarcastic voice!)?

I would give Hertz a negative 5 stars if possible. Whatever you do DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ AND ABSOLUTELY DO NOT PREPAY ONLINE. I have never experienced such bad customer experience. I booked a car online the for a quick trip I needed to go for work. We needed to be on the road by 8 to get there on time. It gave me an option for delivery that I checked. The next morning I called the store to see if they could either deliver it to me at work that day or by 8 in the morning. They told me they didn't offer that service. I then asked if I could pick up the car after work that day instead of 8am when they opened and they told me they couldn't change the reservation and I needed to call the 800 number. I did that. Waited on hold for over 10 minutes before I finally got to talk to a person. I told him my situation and that I needed the car either that evening or earlier than 8 the next morning or I would be late. I asked if he could move my reservation to the airport because they were open 24 hrs he told me he couldn't change my reservation because it was within 24 hours. When I told him it wouldn't work he gave no cares. So I said I needed to cancel. Well... I got charged full amount for the car and reaching out to their "customer care" center they pretty much said I didn't cancel and that I should just f#$ off. So even after explaining they did absolutely nothing for me. I have 7 trips scheduled for the next 4 months I was going to rent from them... too bad they don't care about their customers. All I can hope is that they don't get the chance to rip off others. Please do yourself a favor and rent from literally anyone else. This company sucks and does nothing to help.
