Very pricey, food was good but slow service, shouldn't charge for parking at a hotel for starters, especially when they leave you no other options

This place is interesting. It's very nice as it should be considering the price with lots of activities and dining options. It is kid friendly IF you plan your trip right (see below). It's also huge - like mega.We stayed for 4 days with our two young kids. We arrived on a Wednesday overlapping with a conference and it was not kid friendly - at all. It felt like we were plopped with our two loud and crazy kids into an office building. We found it very stressful as people are on their laptops and on conference calls everywhere. We actually debated leaving the vibe was so weird. Once the conference ended the whole vibe of the resort changed and we started having fun. It felt like a difference place. The pool area is the star of the show. My kids swam for four to five hours a day and wanted to go back for more. The indoor pool is 3.5 feet deep with a shallow wading area as well. They do offer adult and kid life jackets and puddle jumpers are allowed. There is also a fountain island within the pool, a splash pad, a volley ball pool, two slides (need to be 48-inches tall to use), a hot tub, and a concession stand that also serves alcohol. That's just the indoor area. The outdoor area has another hot tub, an infinite pool with a slide that does not have a height requirement, and a lazy river. The lazy river is amazing - fun for all ages. We must have done 50 laps in that thing. All of the restaurants have kid menus and were actually not overly priced considering the locations. We ate at all but the steak house and enjoyed every meal. The service was really good as well and accommodating of our kids. We did not need reservations at any of the restaurants, even when dining with a party of 6 one night.Pro tips:- Ask when the conferences are going on and book your stay to minimize overlapping. It really made the first two days a drag.- Bring snacks - there's a grocery store just down the road and a Walmart about 10 min away as the place lacks healthy kid snack options and you will pay typical resort prices for what they do have.- The live music in the evening is a great hangout for the kids and there's a bar should the adults be looking for a cocktail.- They have a nice basket ball area and you can grab a ball in the pool area.Cons:- Parking: The self parking is $30 a night on top of the $600 a night for our room. We complained and the comped it (which they may do for everyone). Also - the gates never worked for us once. We got stuck either trying to get into the lot or out of the lot. It was frustrating. They need to include this cost with the room rate and improve the parking system.- Mini golf is a joke. It's a poorly kept putting green area with rocks and debris all over it.- The Arcade area is also not worth visiting. This is likely a one and done for us as it felt like a one trick pony with the pool areas being amazing and everything else being so-so.

I travelled to the resort on business, and had a very unsettling experience overall. I found a pair of men’s underwear in the bathroom upon checking in, but not wanting an overworked and underpaid cleaning staff member to get in trouble, I simply left a note asking that they be removed. Later that day, the note was gone but the boxers remained. Very gross and disturbing. I didn’t see the boxers on my first day and keep wondering if they were left in there while I was out of the room.I was there for a conference, and noted that the hotel seems to attract the type of people who make unwanted advances to a woman travelling solo. Lots of gross behaviour and inappropriate comments happening in common spaces. Finally, I left an item behind and have had a terrible time having it returned. Staff cannot return a phone call or email me shipping options 4 days later. Wondering if I will ever get my item back.Overall, it seems that the staff is aware that most guests are on expense accounts and not paying out of pocket, and the service reflects a real indifference. Expect to pay way too much for absolutely everything or do yourself a favour and just don’t stay here!

The place is what you would expect from a Gaylord. Very adequate facilities. The food at the Convention Center is very good and plentiful. The coffee break service was very small for the number of attendees and at the wrong time [when leaving the conference it had already run out due to those who were out early]. Coffee not recommended. Regarding the facilities, take into account that even if you go to the convention center, the Uber and taxi service requires walking inside, several hallways, then the lobby and then a final hallway that takes you to the place.

Really beautiful and great place. Guest service was great. The customer service in the trading post gift shop was a bit off... The two employees were very rude to us as we arrived 15 minutes to close to pick out a bathing shorts for our son. We we felt rushed and like we inconvenienced them. Ultimately, we returned them the following morning as they didn't fit. Check out and hotel/rooms in general were great and a wonderful property.

Went for the WBENC conference. This place is breathtaking! You have the mountains in the background for an amazing virmew you won't get tired of. It's relaxing in the outside seating areas to take in the crisp mountain air. The rooms are nicely done and the staff is 5 star nice! Especially Ann from Denver!

We come to the Gaylord rockies once a year. We absolutely love it! The staff is outstanding. They go out of their way to ensure the best experience. T.S. at the front desk was outstanding from the moment I walked in. He wanted to make sure my family had the best room, my kids had a memorable experience, and went above and beyond!! Yes we were sad the atrium was getting remodeled but it was still great this year like all other years.

Kinda out in the middle of nowhere, but still awesome none-the-less. Everything was clean and they are adding more to it. The restaurants are all pretty good.

Met friends here that were guests at the resort. They were very impressed with the room and the quality of service. They were in town for a convention and kept emphasizing how convenient it was to be at the event all day and able to be in the room right away at the end. For us meeting them in the lobby was amazing to have such a comfortable place to visit. The couches in the lobby are amazingly comfortable and the place being so massive gave us enough space to talk and have the privacy we needed for conversations.Gaylords is amazing! 5* for sure!
