I want to write here expressing total disgust for my job interview today. I only wish I could contact the manager personally for this store as I feel sorry for any employee under the management of a woman named Angie. I arrived early for my interview very excited to started my new career as a makeup and skin care consultant and eventual counter manager for either Chanel or Lancome. I have a passion for helping people, beauty and treating others with dignity and respect. I was met at the customer service desk by a delightful sweet girl who told me to wait for my appointment. I noticed some of the makeup counter staff were clustered in packs and THAT doesn't look good at all. Then Angie arrived on the scene. No "hello how are are "? Or "thank you for coming out to see us on these icy roads today". No she scurried around before she came over and said " Are you NOT able to work Sundays?( Actually I could probably work most of Sunday as other days of the week but I have a few PT jobs I needed to let go depending on the wages and schedule at Dillards). Then she said, well we shouldn't go on any further with this interview as you won't be able to make your sales quota. ! Well how would she know this? Does she think sales is 100% dependable on floor time? I was willing to put in 40 hours for sure but treating people like crap is no way I'd accomplish this! I understand retail is about flexiblity as well. I have no children or home life. I was willing to even travel with a makeup line. But she never even let me get to those points as she was only hung up on the Sunday schedule which could change in a few months. I asked her If I could apply later and she said " Well the one line app will expire in 30 days and nothing else. No encouragement or even a smile. I almost wish they'd hire me now so I can double my freaking sales goal and fire her a**** Probably the RUDEST interview I've had in my entire life.! I don't even want to enter this store again and may not even shop at Dillard's seeing as this is how they treat their people. ! I highly recommend some Ritz Carlton seminars for all of management.

I am so disappointed! Dishonest clerk! I purchased a LV purse here last holiday season. While there, I fell in love with a LB satchel but didn't want to overdo it. Right away the lady in the purse department mentioned the Dillard's card was 0% interest for the first year. I thought, why not! I was approved and happy with my purchases. In the meantime I have making more than the minimum in payments to my card because I want to take care of it before the year. I go last week to buy socks of all things and my card is declined. I call CS only to be told that since I made 2 purchases and used 2 forms of pmt I do not qualify for the 0%. They escalated it and even sent it to their "corporate" office nothing. It's a Wells Fargo card. They suggested I go to the store to try to return and was told no. Even the CS manager was upset his clerk did this. When I suggested maybe they should train their clerks better so that they know what going on, his exact words were, "Oh, they've been trained. They know better." He said he would speak to the whole department about honesty and not deceiving customers just to get a sale. I feel like I was taken advantage of and lied to. This has NEVER happened to me. I have never been treated this way. Needless to say, i am paying this off and canceling my card.

They have terrible customer service skills in the returns department. I tried to return something in the Vera Bradley department and my return was rejected even though I had a valid receipt and was within the time frame. Will never return to this store again!

Dillard's is listed as a Vera Bradley retailer. The back of my VB receipt says VB returns can be made at ALL VB retailers. I take my VB return to a Dillard's just to rudely be told that I can not make my return return there. Why are you marketing yourself as a VB retailer but refusing to help the customers? I was going to buy something more expensive, so you were going to make A BIGGER SALE. I cannot wait till these big box stores die out and managers such as this realize the value in helping the customers.
