Every time I want to pick up my shared car, it takes hours to get it due to lack of customer service (text only). They also don't automatically find your account for agreed upon minimum monthly payments. Took me hours to get them to fund my account with the money I was owed. Never sharing my car with Avail again!!!

Absolutely a scam, they tried to run my card 4 hours after I reserved my car. I turned my card off because I thought it was somewhat of a scam turns out I was right. They cancelled my car without any notification at all, I sent a BBB complaint and they immediately told at least 3 lies on their report and took 0 responsibility. Do not use this company they will come up with BS charged 4 hours later and if you don't let them scam you they will cancel your car and leave you stranded after you get to the car.

This was the worst experience I've ever had with a company hands down.1. App was glitchy trying to add a second driver. So bad we gave up.2. Picking up the car required the security guard in the garage to come unlock two separate doors because there wasn't a way for the car to get out without it. 3. When returning the car the garage was locked and it took almost two hours with the customer service chat rep to finally drop the car somewhere. 4. I continued to receive reminders to drop off my car when already dropped from the automated bot. I confirmed with customer support that I wouldn't be charged a late fee.5. This morning I received a $104 late fee even though I returned the car 4 hours early. When I asked for a refund we were sent a $10 credit. When I asked to be transferred to a manager the person told me he was the highest level of support.

After renting my car out 2x through Avail and having seamless experiences, my car was denied acceptance today. While Avail employees are just following their guidelines, this is an incredibly frustrating experience. Instead of getting free parking I had to scramble to find parking and pay $110. Will not be using again and cannot recommend them so long as Avail cannot provide clear guidance on what is acceptable.Update: I emailed months ago, never heard back from Avail. Read the reviews and decide if you want to risk some sort of catastrophic failure. I feel lucky now that I just had a bad parking experience!

Husband rented a car. 2 hours into our rental we got a low tire pressure warning. We stopped to check the tires and saw something in the tread, so we reached out to Avail. Customer Service was very unhelpful. We were going to be charged the full day rental, not given a replacement vehicle, and charged tire repair fees, and then had to find a way home to return keys as well. For all I know this tire issue was prior to the rental. It took over an hour texting with customer service to get a tow started, we also had to stay with the vehicle until towed and return the keys to the locker. Not only has my money been wasted in renting a car I can't use, my time has been wasted and that is one thing you can't get compensated on.Edit to Add: The Avail Agents can't answer when they towed car. They dodge questions and reply with generic scripts.

Please do not rent a car from this place..I rented a car for one week in April of 2023 then 4 months later I see my card has been charged $100. So I reached out them they said I received a ticket. So I asking for proof and they are giving me the run around. I screenshot our chat so I can have proof for my bank when I dispute this transaction. Also I have you prior email informing me of this ticket.

The WORST customer service I’ve ever experienced. The customer support is online chat only and the agents are unhelpful and disrespectful. If you have any issues at all it’s impossible to speak with a human and you’re out of luck. Avoid this company. I wish I read the reviews before booking with them.

Possibly the worst customer service I’ve ever had to use. Have wasted hours of my life and had multiple failed bookings. I don’t have any similar issues listing my cars or properties on other platforms. Everything so far has pointed to this company being a scam and is likely not going to be in business very long.

Do not use this service to park at DIA while away. We returned from a week long family trip to our car keys missing. After 2 hours we were given a car to drive from the fleet while they towed my car to the dealer and had it rekeyed. It was exhausting as no one knew what to do and acted like it was somehow my fault they lost my keys. We had missed dinner so after waiting hours I insisted on a car immediately so we could eat and get home. On our drive home we received a call from the manager (who we learned was the person the car was originally dropped off with), who was clearly inebriated and rambled on about getting it handled. This resulted in two weeks of them looking for keys, getting it re-keyed and finally returning it to us. When we received our car back they told us they had found the original keys in a drawer and would mail them to us (which as a key fob would still have to be rekeyed) but they never sent it. It was a weird experience that I would never choose to repeat as it was entirely not worth it.

I'm begging you please do not share your car or give your money to this company. They are a scam and I am honestly so not know how they are still in business. I have had a HORRIBLE experience.1. Their website boasts 24/7 customer service and that is a bold face lie. Many, many times I have tried to call customer service or message a representative on the app and I get no response. None. Thankfully I have not been in an emergency situation, but what if I had been??2. Avail LIES about the money you can make. The words "guaranteed $50 minimum for 5 days" are plastered all over the website. If you share your car, you're supposed to receive a $50 minimum payout PER WEEK. That is not the case. I found out AFTER I shared that the minimum payment is only for special members. I still cannot find any more information on this.3. The app glitches and is not reliable AT ALL. Not only was dropping off my vehicle super difficult because the app would not properly open the locker box for me to drop off my keys, but I also couldn't pick up my car for OVER A WEEK for the same reason. Thats right. Avail basically held my car hostage in their garage for more than a week after my sharing was scheduled to end. It was EXTREMELY complicated to get my car back and I had to explain my situation to several customer service agents multiple times before anyone was willing to help. I had to pay to rent other cars bc I was not able to access my own car. Customer service was wildly unhelpful. That is STEALING...4. Customer service agents are simply trained to say a uniform script and no matter what you respond, they just repeat the same script. They so not acknowledge your concerns and they do not help remedy any situation. on multiple occasions they've asked me questions that I had already answered several times in the chat. a couple times, the agent has just ended the conversation abruptly with no explanation.5. Avail promises free parking for car share hosts but I never received that benefit. I had to pay for parking while I shared. When I asked a customer service agent how I will exit with my car after sharing he pretended like he didn't understand what I was asking, then he said I could just say I'm with Avail when exiting the garage, but that did not work. In Chicago the parking garages are very expensive....6. I also never received the free car cleaning that was promised.7. My 4-door lifted Jeep Wrangler us considered a "small SUV" so I only make the $20 daily rate if someone borrows instead of $25. How is that possible? What on earth is considered a large SUV?? Also, beware, they do not allow you to share ANY 2-door vehicles. why? Couldn't tell you. I can only imagine the disaster it would have been if my car was involved in an accident while being shared on avail. PLEASE STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS SCAM OF A COMPANY

We booked a car for our last 2 days in Denver so we could get around. They didn't give us the car we booked, then they changed the drop off location so now we have no way to the airport to get home. They allowed us to select airport drop off then changed it and told us they no longer let people drop off at a different location. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! To top everything off they just keep brushing us off. We keep getting told no supervisor in and we can call bak later . WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

The website charged me so many $1 charges when I was trying to book that they maxed out my credit card. It was obviously a website glitch, but the representative said it was the normal process. I now have to wait 10 days for the $300 in $1 charges to be reversed, and I never got to rent a car. I WOULD NOT trust this company with your debit card. Make sure to use a credit card. Luckily, I used my AMEX and their dispute process is top tier.

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT book with with Avail! I picked up a car only to find it had a flat tire. I sat on hold for 2 hours with their horrible customer support to get a new car, only for them to tell me there was nothing they could do. This is the most unprofessional, poorly run business I have ever encountered. Their cars are unreliable since they don't check them after someone returns it. Their customer service is no help. They don't send follow up instructions on how to get into the garage to get the car(I had to wait around for a stranger to let me in). I would give them negative 5 stars if that was possible.

Our car was taken while at the avail lot. The person who stole it had the keys, so likely an inside job. Avail instructed me to file a police report and insurance claim, after misleading me for eleven days that the keys were lost, then the vehicle was at the dealer being rekeyed, none of which was true. As of this date, the car has been recovered by APD but not repaired or totaled. it has been 67 days since I dropped it off. The body shop doesn't want to touch it because of "probable drug use" and I don't blame them. Avail works well when things go well, but lacks the ability to deal with challenges. There's no manager to talk to. There's no way to call "leadership". We have shared at DIA maybe three times in the past, no issues. But this time it has been a nightmare for us. I would not recommend sharing with Avail with your primary vehicle unless you can afford to buy a new car if something happens.Update: I emailed the address suggested in the Avail’s response a week ago. I have not received any response to my email.Update #2 (11 Feb 2024)- Avail never followed up with any explanation as to what happened. Their insurance company eventually paid and we now own another car. It’s not that the idea of sharing cars wouldn’t work- but a partnership requires trust and communication, two things that were lacking in my dealings with Avail.
