Beware of any same day rentals made on the app for this location. Was bumped from my flight and immediately booked a car to take myself to Denver for the flight I was rebooked on. Upon arriving at the counter I was told there were no cars and was given no help by the people working the counter and told to contact support. I stayed on the phone with support for over an hour without receiving any help. Completely unacceptable by the company.

I am not sure where those reviews on this profile comes from. My experience was amazing. Very fast check-in, friendly guy was very helpful. The car was clean, fragrant and reliable. Drop-off in LA smooth as hell. 5/5. Thanks for a great service!

Had a terrible experience at Hertz Car Rental. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. I came in the the airport rental and asked for an upgrade to my vehicle since I am a hertz gold plus member and booked through American Express travel. They told me I was not entitled to an upgrade (even though they had other vehicles available) the manager also gave me a weird look when I got to the counter (maybe because I am Latino) and made me feel extremely uncomfortable.Do not come here

One of the absolute worst customer service experiences in my life. AVOID Hertz at all costs, especially the Aspen location. Joe is an absolute embarrassment. Rude, unprofessional, and a liar. Hertz as a company is just as bad. Go with literally anyone else, Hertz is the bottom of the barrel.

Don’t rent here or you might get stranded. When my flight was delayed, I got in at 8:05pm. Desk closes at 8pm and they were gone. So much for my reservation. Hertz will leave you stuck at the airport!

I needed to rent a car for a few days for local driving. Although the pickup time was 9 AM, Joe had arrived early to prepare for the day and graciously assisted me with my rental. He explained the essential operating features of the car, and helped to adjust my reservation so that I could return the car at a later time to take advantage of the full day that I had paid for in my reservation. Joe was one of the most helpful car rental employees I have encountered. I highly recommend choosing this company when renting a car in Aspen.

We rented a car online. Whet we showed up to pick up the car, the agent at the desk said they had no cars to give us, no inventory. Then we had to spend time on the phone getting the reservation canceled.

Joe is the rudest Hertz employee I've ever encountered in my years of traveling. As a gold member and usual presidents circle member I'm used to having options. The first girl to help us behind the counter was kind, but I walked up on the tail end of a conversation with my fiancé where she was offering to allow him to switch out the SUV we were getting for another at a location on the way to the ski resort. Since it's his 40th birthday and we are jam packed I assumed I would just ask her to switch us to the other mid size all wheel or 4 wheel drive SUV on the lot. We walked back in and waited for her to finish with the customer she was helping only for Joe to walk up. The first question he asked was what the "issue" was ? We explained that we were going to ask about 4 or all wheel drive based on what we had seen on the lot. Joe's response was that 4 wheel drive would be $75 more a day, and reminded us that this is "Aspen" and they're in peak seasonality. He continued about prices for lift tickets and such in the area I'm assuming to demonstrate his knowledge. I tuned out for the rest of his rant, because my initial ask was going to be as simple as explaining that we were from California and I'd love to switch to the other option. Joe never asked another question. He just kept talking and checked the weather on his phone and told us we should be good to go. We then waited another 10 minutes for the tow truck towing a car to unblock our rental from the lot, which was frustrating since the Crv I wouldn't asked the woman for was unblocked the entire time. If Joe holds any sort of leadership role I'mUtterly shocked.

Recently rented with Hertz, as a Gold Member. Picked up at the Denver Airport and drove to Aspen, had the car a total of less then 5 hours.Easy trip and drop off until the day after, I received my final receipt and saw a $199.02 "Smoking Clean Fee". This came as a shock since I don't smoke cigarettes, weed or any other substance.After contacting Hertz direct line, I was told that I'd need to speak to the actual location. With no answer to the phone, I went to the location to dispute in person. I spoke with Joe and Ashley.They brought the car up and claimed it "smelled strongly of weed." I didn't smell anything, but even at that, "smell" isn't legally something a cop can convict or prosecute on, so the fact that Hertz is using that as a valid claim to add a charge more than my rental is truly a treat.They then claimed there were photos of ash. I've attached the photos Hertz claims are these "ashes" and charges to this review. I KNOW I didn't smoke in that car and I KNOW I'll never be renting from Hertz again. I followed up with a complaint to the BBB, but renters beware. With "smell", it's their word against yours.Thankful that my Credit Card Company is able to mediate this transaction and get me my funds back, but disappointing that Hertz as a company, and at the Aspen location, find fulfillment in fraudulent charges toward customers.
