Finally a hairstylist that understands my hair! I have thin, fine hair and haven't had a stylish cut in a long, long time. Vickie took the time to assess my previous cut and the condition of my hair. This was the Stage 1 cut to make my hair presentable until it grows out more. She also recommended massaging my scalp with just a few drops of Tea Tree Oil every morning and evening. She also recommended one of the products she sells to protect my hair daily. She is very friendly and kind. And she really knows hair. I saw in a previous review that she also specializes in cuts/styles for frizzy, thick, heavy hair. Her prices are in the normal range for a highly skilled hair stylist. I will absolutely be going back and hope to continue with Vickie.

With the new location, it is convenient and easy to park. The owner is extremely professional and takes pride in the her services. I have been a client for many years and always leave feeling so much better about myself and my appearance. Vickie will make every effort to achieve the look that is desired or offer ideas if a change is needed.

Vickie has been doing my hair for over 20 years. I'm old enough to know, she's the best! She is brilliant with highlights and color (fixing other people's mistakes, even!), and specializes in thick and curly hair. I trust her completely, and that's saying a lot! She also is very empathetic and attentive. I drive over 30 minutes to get to her, and I'd honestly drive all day for how she makes me look. Treat yourself to a visit to Salon Avicenna.

Look no further! Salon Avicenna and Kelly are AMAZING! I have been seeing Kelly for over 3 years... I am of a 'stated age' ;) with a lot of grey thin hair... Kelly makes my hair look beautiful, soft and natural. I appreciate the all natural organic products, the warm atmosphere {cozy fireplace in the winter :) } and the personalized service. I have finally found a stylist am devoted to! If you are looking for a stylist that rocks color and lay down some fabulous high/low lights Kelly is it. The team at Salon Avicenna are awesome.
