My experience was ok. But prices are way to high!

Always crowded, but checkout lines move fast. As with most Costco locations, it's hard to find anyone working in the bowels of the store if you need help locating an item.

It's a Costco, you know what you're getting yourself into. Nice cashiers. Cart checkers could chill out a little. Becoming more self checkout. Somehow now we need two people to do the same job of checking ?

Tire shop - I first went and waited in line for over an hour just to find out they don't have an open appointment for over a month. Then I was told I need to wait for my tires to come in, and they never called to tell me they were in. I make an appointment, and they won't even be able to see my car for hours due to walk-ins. WHAT'S THE POINT OF AN APPOINTMENT. I decided to refund the tires, and leave.Turns out they processed my refund wrong and now require me to drive back to the store, so I can get my money back. This experience has solidified that Costco services are a joke. And anything beyond grocery shopping should be avoided.

We love a Costco and don't know why we never went to Costco for groceries when we came with a big group of snowboarding/skiing. This Costco is huge, well organized and great employees. We were able to eat at the food court before shopping. Love a good $1.50 hot dog. Plenty of parking and super efficient checking out. Great selection of meats, foods, and snacks! Definitely helped with a party of 7 people!

We love our Costco here in Arvada! Some of the best customer service around! Hats off to Management for keeping the place super organized, clean and run like a finely tuned machine. Everything from the food court, eyeglass station, bakery and butcher, this is hands down one of the best I have been to. I have been to many Costco's, and I've seen what poorly organized looks like. This one is super busy and really stands out as one of the best. Thanks to this entire Costco Team!

This review is for the Tire Center only. We had a 10:00 am appointment to have the tires we purchased from Costco online installed. We received a "reminder" email for our appointment, advising us to arrive 15 minutes early, and threatening that we would lose our appointment if we were 10 minutes late. Now, we live 45 minutes away, so we left early enough so that we pulled into the Costco parking lot at 9:43 am. Nobody at the Tire Center, so we go to the front door. The doors are closed since Costco does not open until 10:00 am, so we follow an employee in and explain that we had an appointment in the Tire Center. We we directed back to the Tire Center and told someone would meet us there. Well, someone from the Tire Center did eventually meet us there, but he sent us back to the front door, telling us we had to check in at the Tire Center desk up front. So, back we go to the front entrance and wait outside in the cold until 10:00 am. After waiting in line at the Tire Center desk, we were greeted by Leena, who asked if we had an appointment. We asked her why we got an email telling us to be there at 9:45 am. when they did not open until 10. Leena told us that was just a standard email, and I complained that it was inconsiderate of them to have us be there 15 minutes early for nothing. She reiterated that it was a standard email. I asked if she would mind getting a negative review. She shrugged her shoulders and said she didn't care. I asked for her name and if she would mind being named in that negative review. Again, she shrugged her shoulders and said she didn't care. I guess that's what passes for customer service at Costco these days. We have been Costco members for 30 years and have never had such a negative experience. Here's a word of advice for Leena. If you are going to work the desk, we don't really expect you to care, which you obviously did not. But we do expect you to at least ACT like you care. Show some empathy. With your attitude, you need to be back in the shop mounting tires.

This location no longer has a liquor store! I specifically came here for the liquor, however I was told they took it down 3 months ago! On Apple Maps, via the street view there is a sign that says "liquor sales" that's no longer there. However, overall this Costco was just like any other Costco but 10x the people. I think it's oddly placed where you have to drive around the block just to get into the parking lot, which is why I'm knocking off one star. It was a nightmare just to get into the lot, which isn't their fault the lot they are placed in just isn't convenient, but there are plenty of other entrances that weren't available unless you were coming in the opposite direction. Quite the ruckus being right by the freeway. Overall though, it was good place to shop! Always have great deals!

Unreasonably incompetent & discourteous tire center. It took 20 minutes of waiting just to check in for appointment and 15 minutes to process the check in.One of the Costco staff, Marcela, was asking another staff for help on every single thing. If something simple as checking in was this time consuming, I can only imagine how frustrating it would be when you have more advanced appointment or an issue they need to resolve. To make matters even worse, Marcela informed me that the service will take 1-2 hours and that they will call. After 2 hours passed without any call from them, I came to check the status and that’s when Marcela told me that the service was done over an hour ago. Beyond baffling.

I won't be back to the store. My sciatica was hurting me, so I was using one of the handicap carts. I had to use the bathroom, so I headed over. This man asked me if I was ready to check out, and I said no. And I continued on towards the bathroom. This man freaked out on me!!! He yelled really loudly now mama you can't go past! (check out stands), I turned to politely inform him. I wasn't going to take the cart into the restroom, but I needed to get down the hall to the restroom. And he said I couldn't pass and physically detained me., When he called over, the young man who was helping others check out and told him to detain me and to move all my stuff into a cart . Good boy said that I could walk all the way down the hall and leave my stuff. I explained that I was in pain, which is why I was using the cart in the first place. So he unloaded my whole car into a car. And I proceeded forward completely Embarrassed. So when I came out there was another lady. Walking down the hall pushing a FULL CART And he was watching her . When I confronted him, he said, TOO BAD, it's the rules. This is absolutely disability discrimination, and I feel sorry for any seniors or permanently handicapped people that might have to endure this man. A kind man named Michael helped me reload my cart. The discriminating man have a ponytail, and you can see Him waving and smirking in the picture as the other man helped me. Never going back to this costco, which I was really excited to get my executive membership from my Chef, who spends a lot of money and also will not be going back to this discriminatory location.

I bought a dozen chicken bakes. Ate one while I shopped. I accidentally dropped it on the floor, but I just picked it up and continued to eat it. Also, try dipping a chicken bake into the grease at the bottom of the rotisserie chicken. Total game changer. A+

On September 14, 2023, my father and I visited Costco with the primary goal of purchasing essential groceries to ensure our family had food for the week. This visit was driven by a genuine love and care for our family's well-being. We carefully selected the necessary items and proceeded to the checkout line.Upon reaching the checkout, my father presented his valid Costco membership card to the cashier, who scanned our items and signaled for us to proceed with the payment. However, a situation arose when it became apparent that my father lacked sufficient funds to cover the cost of the groceries. In an effort to assist and out of love for my family, I reached for my wallet to contribute to the payment. To my surprise, the cashier abruptly intervened and informed me that I couldn't make the purchase. When I questioned this policy, she simply pointed at my father, emphasizing that as the member, he must be the one to complete the transaction.Seeking clarification and understanding, I continued to inquire why I couldn't assist in purchasing the groceries on my father's behalf, but my questions were met with silence. Instead of addressing the matter with professionalism and empathy, the cashier escalated the situation by loudly summoning a manager, causing a commotion that drew the attention of fellow Costco shoppers. Regrettably, her response lacked compassion and even included laughter, leaving us feeling embarrassed and unsupported. In a poignant moment, my father highlighted a crucial scenario, asking what would happen if he were unable to personally go grocery shopping, such as during a hospitalization following surgery. Yet again, the cashier offered no response and displayed no remorse.Amidst this disheartening encounter, one shining beacon emerged in the form of a young Costco employee. This individual stood in stark contrast to the cashier, offering genuine sympathy and a desire to help. He not only provided valuable guidance on how to resolve the issue but also offered to assist me in transferring funds to my father, ensuring he could pay for the groceries himself. It is profoundly disappointing that even when a family, consisting of a mother, father, son, and daughter, came together with the sole intention of aiding and caring for a family member, we encountered such a distressing incident at Costco. This incident stands in stark contrast to the store's storied history of priding itself on customer service since 1976. It underscores the paramount importance of consistent and compassionate customer service. I sincerely hope that Costco takes this feedback to heart, aiming to prevent similar situations in the future and upholding their esteemed reputation for customer care.
