We really enjoyed our stay at The Sunset Inn. From the moment we walked in Mindy (who may be the greatest hotel receptionist of all time) made us feel so welcomed and at home. Our room was spotless and the beds were extra comfy. The bathroom had great water pressure in the shower and the room made you feel more like you were in an apartment rather than a hotel which we liked. Great restaurants and coffee shops near by and extra close to Great Sand Dunes NP. An extremely great value for the price and we hope to be back again one day!

Nice and affordable hotel. The room and bathroom were extremely clean and spacious. The beds were comfy. The two guys working there were very friendly. Breakfast was OK. Thumbs up for the guy making the waffles. It would be wonderful if they added a couple more items to the breakfast menu, like oatmeal and fruit.
Rooms: The room and bathroom were big and very clean.
Food & drinks: Good, but limited selection.
There is a guy who works there. He was making the waffles. He was very kind and helpful.

The hotel is just below average. They don’t offer a hot breakfast as advertised. The staff is friendly.

Hate to gripe but 4pm check in is UNHEARD OF....!! Who thought of that? Was about to book but bump that. We need that extra hour!!

This hotel is amazing!!! The hotel itself is a completely normal hotel, the rooms are very clean and large with a mini kitchen (including a sink, microwave and refrigerator) in the room. The hotel is relatively new and therefore the mattresses are still super comfortable and not saggy. Breakfast is included, a bit poor, but ok. But the best thing about the hotel are the employees. I have never experienced such friendly service. We had a burst tire and no one from our rental company wanted to help us. For over two days!!! We only booked the hotel for one night. However, since the Roadside Assistance Service was unable to send us a tow truck, we had to spend another entire day in the hotel. The employees offered to let us wait in the breakfast room and provided us with free coffee and other drinks. They also brought us small snacks and gave us lots of useful tips! They immediately reserved us a room for another night when they saw we couldn't leave. The next day an employee brought and gave us (!) a new tire that he had picked up from a friend. With additional help from the police, we were able to change the tire and continue our tour. Without the hotel's help we would probably still be there.... Thank you! If you are looking for friendly people, you will find them here in the hotel!
The hotel is also very fond of animals and is home to several cats :)
Thank you! Thank you for everything! The hotel is absolutely amazing! The staff are super friendly and helpful! We had a car breakdown and the hotel staff helped us the whole time and even gave us a new tire! The hotel is also super pet friendly! Definitely book it if you're in the region.

We had issues with our TV. The manager came up to trouble shoot and repair the TV. The only complaint was there was no ice in the ice machine. The room was comfortable although a bit run down. Breakfast was ok.

Breakfast: waffles, bagels, cereal, juice
Rooms: mini fridge, comfortable beds, many pillows
Cats: 3 that belong to the hotel and sometimes wander the bottom floor.

Great place nice roomy place good breakfast very nice employees the only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because their is a literally a crack house in front of the property that gets heavy traffic and a very annoying and out of it crackhead that hangs around the area begging for money other then that great place

Large and clean rooms. Breakfast included. Approximately 30 minutes to Sand Dunes. There are several restaurants and a cafe nearby.

We stayed here for one night and were satisfied. Our room was very clean and it was pleasantly quiet. The employees were all very friendly and the parking lot had enough spaces.
We would only have liked more choice at breakfast. There was a waffle for everyone. Since this was prepared individually by an employee for each guest, it therefore takes some time.
Value for money could be a little better. Otherwise everything is good.

We had a pleasant stay. The staff is great, from the check-in guy, overnight, and morning person, we always felt welcome. Comfortable rooms/beds, with spacious small kitchen that has a fridge, microwave and extra cabinet space.
The Wi-Fi was inconsistent. It worked some of the time, but not others. The breakfast was limited to pastries, cereal, and pancakes. Maybe we arrived a bit late to breakfast. Not sure.

I have stayed here a couple times now. I like the rooms and the price is just right for Alamosa. GM was great to chat with. We walked over to the bankshot for a couple drinks
