Got a beautiful black car as our new family member! They were very helpful and the cats seemed well taken care of.

Facilities are beautiful. A woman accompanied me to look at the dogs. Place was empty and lady was put out that she had to answer questions about the few dogs and when I went to look at the cats (there was a room full of them ) she would not let me go in there by telling me THEY ARE ALL ADOPTED. Really? Why are they all still there? Woman was apathetic and it appeared I interrupted her lunch or something. Would never go back there again.

Hours online are incorrect. If they catch your dogs they will force vaccinations and threaten citations and further action if you do not follow their rules. Next time I want an animal I'll get one off of Craigslist instead of this dishonest racket.

Had a great experience adopting my new dog, spot. He came with that name.I got to bring my other dog up to see if the two would be comparable. They loved each other. The rest is history.Poor spot has been in doggy jail for over nine months. His last owner had passed away . Every time I went up to the shelter he was still there. I knew if he was still there at the end of this month , I would have to take him home. Thanks for the new friend.

"bureaucracy trumps compassion" I found a couple severly malnourished and dehydrated dogs apparently dumped in the desert. I brought them home ,fed them up for a couple days, contacted this place for some help or advice. The only thing they cared about was where the dogs were found. I live within the service area and the dogs are here now, my taxes pay for their budget but they absolutely refused to help me in anyway or even offer advice. Woman who i spoke with was totally apathetic, bordering on rude.

I just spoke with one of the rudest people ever. Some kid punched my already injured Chihuahua and this Woman was pretty uninterested in what happened . I can't imagine what the other animals o though there with this , " I don't give a f**** attitude. I'll never call or go there again. I can imagine the conditions are deplorable and the place should probably be shut down.

KILL shelter! No mercy. They pick up animals, and kill them within a couple of days even though there are parties interested in saving them. They would LIE about the animals they caught. Very dishonest and untrustworthy.

I visited to adopt a dog. After waiting several minutes, they told me there were no dogs available…even though I heard several dogs barking as I walked into the facility.

GREAT FACILITY AND LOVING STAFF. I ADOPTED A 1 YEAR OLD LABRADOR AND CAN'T WAIT TO BRING HIM HOME. THE FACILITY IS THE BILTMORE FOR ANIMALS. YUCCA VALLEY SHOULD BE PROUD

Facility was very clean, personal polite, especially the young man showing us the dogs, I was disappointed that I couldn't physically visit with them except putting fingers into chain link runs,

This place is the worst! We went to get a dog and we got a cute loving sweet chocolate lab. She went to the vet to get fixed and the next day we picked her up. They told us she was perfectly healthy then as soon as we got her and pet her we saw three big lumps on her. We made a vet appointment on they way home from getting her. We bonding to this sweet amazing dog for a month now and was told today by the vet that she has cancer. When I call the animal shelter obviously really mad they said they didn’t know. But I don’t understand how. They told us she was at the shelter for a year. So did they just not think anything of the lumps or what? How did they take her to a vet and the vet not even say anything when we realized as soon as we got to pet her!? Because of “covid” when you adopt your pet your not allowed to touch it till the adoption is final. So we had no clue till on the way home. It’s messed up cause now we are paying a huge medical bill that we shouldn’t have to pay for and we can’t do anything about it cause we already love the dog and attached to her. This shelter is seriously messed up.
