This isn't a review for the store. Love the store. The website is constantly down with proxy errors. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It's very inconsistent. Owner, fyi...take a look at your web hosting provider and check. I've been wanting to buy for the last three days with no success.

I love this train store! I live in the SF Bay Area and I order model trains from them and I usually receive them the next day. It's great that they update their inventory and you can see what items they have in stock online. This store is very modern and up to date and this place will survive and thrive for many years to come.

Very sweet people working here, very knowledgeable and loved seeing my 4 year old looking at the tain and models the gentleman was showing him and seeing the smile on both their faces. They now have a new forever customer!!!

I loooove this place!!!! It helped me so much with a train that my father good with his mother's 25 years ago! They where vary helpful and understanding I lovetl this place great place with repairs and a good place to look for a hobby I recommend!

If you’re a train in enthusiast And slot car, buff then you need to see Robert at the western Depot hobby shop. This dude is fantastic. He’s got a lot of knowledge so a lot of trains, different variations of slot, cars and track the Scalextric dude. He Cool laid back kind of man you can spend hours there talking about trains and slot cars. He is really knowledgeable. You got to check it out. It’s really cool price is competitive to.

Friendly as I walked in the door !! Wanted to know my scale, era, line (Southern Pacific 1975), showed actual interest in what I was looking for, what I am doing and gave me Customer Service !! I'm from Roseville 40 miles away but I don't get this kind of service in my local shop. My shop doesn't say hello, goodbye OR "Thank You ! Western Depot's service makes it worth the drive. "I'll be Bach !"

What a great train store. As a collector, this is a dream store. We had a ton of help and suggestions and they were happy to search for everything we were looking for. Lots of brand, new trains, as well as used trains and freight cars. Many different scales of trains and lots of accessories. This was a great store to visit and I’m sure we will be back again.

Hands down the best model railroad store in northern California!Very nice Staff and knowledgeable. Great selection of all aspects of the hobby available in store. Great prices also. Be sure to swing by and check them out.
