If I could give it one star, I would! Some of the rudest customer service I've ever dealt with! I will never do business with them again! I had a car loan with them for 4 years. I was never late or missed a payment. In a matter of 3 weeks my car was hit by a tornado and my back up car was hit by an antelope..I literally had maybe $800 left to pay on the tornado car..however, now I had no car and only 7 days for a rental to find a car, in between trying to work. Mind you, all car dealerships were roughly 2 hours from my house. My insurance paid off the loan fairy quickly, but accidentally sent it to their Dallas address instead of Yuba City. They didn't care that they were going to owe me a payment after they received their payoff, they didn't care what I had just went through after being a very loyal customer, they didn't care or even try to rectify the fact that the payment was at another branch, they just wanted me to pay them their payment. I could have, but it was the principle of their tone and coldness..plus the fact they were getting paid off and already going to owe me money. The gal said, sorry I'm going to send you to collections..wow! Now, almost 7 mos later they still haven't sent the title to my insurance company. You all should learn how to treat people, especially when they're going through such a traumatic experience! You would think they'd want to keep customers with the way things are right now? Nope!

Can't leave less stars. I worked in banking for many years in another county small bank as well. But when it comes to RUDE-NESS this place takes the prize. I thought maybe it was just a bad incident for me and the employee,BUT as I look at ratings none of their branches rate higher than a 2 But it is true the employee I call rude was really another word that I can't place here. Never again to many good ones out there.

Crappy! Crappy! Customer service. Got a loan for my car through them. Never again!!! My car was recently in an accident and is considered a total loss. Myself and my insurance has been trying to work with them for about a month now and they are not doing anything. I get different information each time I call. And now apparently they submitted all requested documents to the insurance but cannot confirm to which email, such great service. You get some reps who's willing to assist you and you get some who's annoyed you even called. I no longer have the car in my possession in over a month. Canceled insurance and this is the final step which Sierra Central can't seem to do. I've been trying to be nice and do follow ups, my insurance follow ups too; again we get different information each call. I have a payment due tomorrow (11/11/23) and if payment is not received, late fee will be assessed in 10 days (11/21/23). I'm not trying to pay for a car I no longer have. It is my responsibility but if they did their due diligence timely, we wouldn't be where we are today.

i am a member in good standing experiencing issues upon unresolved issue & continual issues with sierra central credit union. i am speaking up for myself & my right to have my banking handled with accuracy & to be shown a modicom of respect when i contact customer service. via the blue feedback button on the right margin of sccu's website, you can tell your story & someone from headquarters may read it. at least send your thoughts over. whether it will do any good is another story but read on for who to complain to in ca government. the following are issues i have experienced personally. i have made payments on multiple occasions to my sccu credit card which have not being posted in a timely manner or at all. after complaining to customer service management, i received retaliatory treatment from reps at the customer service #, the most recent being antonio when i called again yesterday with a new issue. it never ends with this place so i did some research. see below for the governing state department on financial oversight concerning credit union's in california. the violation of inaccurate accounting & bookkeeping practices falls under the following government codes. barclays official california code of regulations section 30.600 title 10 investment chapter 1: commisioner of business oversight, division of financial instituations sub-chapter 30: credit unions article 6: books & records section (a) : a credit union shall maintain its books and records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and good business practice, except as otherwise provided in the california credit union law, or by order of the commissioner. my experience, & that of many others who are posting reviews is that sccu is not maintaining its books & records in accordance with generally acceptable accounting principals or good business practices. i went to sccu's website & indicated that unless this matter is addressed & resolved within 7 days i would be making my complaint in writing to the government institution below: with as many bad reviews as there are about members being charged undue fees, payments not being posted to their credit cards, inaccurate interest fees being charged after payments & payoffs are made etc, one can only wonder if class action attention is needed here to force this institution to do right by their members. ca dept. of financial protection & innovation division of financial institutions address: one samsome st, suite 600 san fransisco, ca 94104-4423 phone: (415) 263-8500 fax: (415) 288-8830 email:
[email protected] good luck to you if you have accounts here. if you don't, congratulations! you have saved yourself all kinds of hassle.

CROOKS. Do NOT get a loans through them. We financed an rv through them and they take random amounts of interest out every payment and only a few dollars are going to the principle. Will be refinancing with another institution so they don’t get another dime from us. Never seen a loan do this ever!! Reporting this to an agency to look into this for us. Not right

This is a tragedy. Super limited hours. Fees being tacked onto a declining quality of banking experience. I'm genuinely saddened by the state of things with Sierra Central. It used to be the most amazing bank ever. The ladies in the office were always nice and I never had issues. Now there's pointless updates frequently that cause more issues than do any good and if I try and pay an international company I have to call in which is absolute nonsense. This is 2023. My card gets frozen left and right for no real good reason and the lack of customer service availability will leave you stranded with no access to your funds all weekend. This is utter nonsense and downright dangerous for people who travel. Why am I paying extra fees for LESS customer service availability!? It's as of they are trying to be a big bank but offering none of the things that make them justify the charges. It's a 3 day weekend and I won't have access to my funds till Tuesday. Thanks guys you F'd me over once again with your poor management and almost non existent customer service structure. Get your stuff straight. This isn't rocket science. Customers first. Customer Service needs to be 24/7 and fees need to be at a minimum like the way it used to be or you will inevitably fail. If I can't even find the number to report a frozen, lost, or stolen card we got a HUGE problem.

Martha is hands down the rudest woman! If I would've never called back & got help from Robin, I would've lost all of my belongings in my car due to repossession. Martha didn't give me any information AT ALL. Falsely mislead me into thinking I'd receive the information via email, which never happened. If I wouldn't have called back today, I would've lost many items that were dear to me. This Martha woman has done nothing but bully me over the phone. For example, she's asked such unprofessional things like why I'm so irresponsible that I can't pay my car bill. It's none of your business at all Martha about my financial hardship. It's already a really embarrassing and humbling situation to be in. She is truly a bully and cruel woman. She should not be working with people at all.

DO NOT FINANCE A VEHICLE WITH THIS ARCHAIC EXCUSE FOR A FINANCIAL INSTITUTION. Ridiculously difficult to make payments online. They DO NOT process their own payments so they charge a big fee and waste days and days to take a payment over the phone. This podunk credit union might as well have you Pony Express payments to them with how poor their technology infrastructure is. Refinancing ASAP just due to how awful they are to deal with.

Worst auto loan company I have ever worked with (and I have had 5). You cannot pay through a log-in style account, you have to do express pay every month (which takes way too much time to complete compared to having an account to log into or an auto pay option) and only during a small window of time can you even see the payment that is due on their online banking system that you can (sort of) log into (but can't pay through). No autopay option unless you use Zelle, period. I couldn't get express pay to work when I first got the loan because the account number on my paper bill had an extra "-1" at the end that I was typing in and shouldn't have been (how was I supposed to know to drop that off???). I was then hit with a $30 late fee that they refused to reverse even though I spent WEEKS trying to figure out how to pay my bill and called them several times during that period. They kept pushing checks via mail (I don't have a check book, envelopes or stamps anymore and I know I am not the only one that only uses electronic means to pay bills), express bill pay (which is time consuming and very glitchy), or you can pay $10 to pay your bill over the phone (really????).This bank is way behind the times and is not willing to work with you or support you. I am refinancing my 5 month old auto loan just to avoid dealing with them for the next several years. Unless you pay everything by check, save yourself the headache and avoid this bank even if it means a higher interest rate, the late fees will not make the lower interest worth it in the end anyway.UPDATE (same day):As instructed by Ron S. I called twice:First time, I asked for a Service Quality Manager and got a fairly rude "for what???" I explained and was told to hang on before being hung up on. I had already waited on hold for 17 min.The second time the phone was answered after 22 min on hold, the person was much nicer but then sent me to an automated system asking me to enter my checking account number (I only have an auto loan). After pushing a lot of numbers it connected me to a person who was not able to even look me up in the system using name, email or account number and said he couldn't help me but he was going to transfer me to someone who could. I was then sent back to the original automated system I started with at the very beginning.I am still not able to pay my bill after 2.5 hours of trying and things like this are a monthly problem. It honestly seems like no one at this bank cares about how frustrating this process is, they just transfer you along and forget about it.
